I'm fascinated by the dynamic Ted Cruz would bring to a general election. I have to think the establishment would bite their tongues and back him, but they absolutely hate the guy. I don't want Cruz tomever have a shot at being a GE candidate, but that could be interesting to watch.

If you want me to address you're other points specifically: Those Sanders Approved candidates in a General Election would be the Democrats running , that's generally how Democratic Presidential tickets work unless you think he joined the Democrats to run in their primary and then either win or lose and immediately bail out (and increase the chance of the Republicans winning all 3 houses by a non-zero amount in doing so). And no I can't find explicit quotes about the importance of down ticket votes though he does talk about needing to be able to bring a mandate with him to be able to get things done (which is probably about as close as you're going to get in a primary).

Fair enough, I just don't recall any instances of attacking an outgoing president of the same party, even indirectly. Unless he was unpopular or being primaried.

Saturday afternoon I'm going to a meeting at my Berniebro's mom's house. We're going to go canvassing the following weekend that I know about. I'm working the polls that day. And not the fun kind of polls. The kind where there's a bunch of old people. So, basically, like stripping on a Tuesday morning. Not that I know anything about that.

Cruz Campaign Removes Ad Featuring Softcore Porn Actress

Ted Cruz’s campaign has pulled its most recent ad, “Conservatives Anonymous,” after learning one of the actresses in the spot is also a softcore porn star.

The ad, which was set at a group therapy session of conservative voters who feel betrayed by Marco Rubio on immigration, featured actress Amy Lindsay, who played a woman telling another group member, “maybe you should vote for more than just a pretty face next time.”

Lindsay has appeared in several softcore porn films, including Erotic Confessions, Carnal Wishes, Secrets of a Chambermaid, and Insatiable Desires.

BuzzFeed News, after learning of Lindsay’s prior filmography, requested comment from the Cruz campaign. Cruz spokesman Rick Tyler told BuzzFeed News in a statement that the campaign is taking the ad down and replacing it with a different one.

“The actress responded to an open casting call. She passed her audition and got the job. Unfortunately, she was not vetted by the production company. Had the campaign known of her full filmography, we obviously would not have let her appear in the ad,” Tyler said.

Someone needs to explain this too me in small words. In a reasonable world you expect LEOs to be in more danger from criminals than you do civilians to be in danger from LEOs. Because the former is a significant part of why LEOs are granted privileges, training and equipment that civilians do not have and its also part of the job you know about when signing up (which isnt a thing you do to be a civilian). So what point are they even trying to make ?

Yes, its horrible when police officers die just like its horrible when soldiers die but its not even close to the same thing contextually as civilians being killed by police officers.

The police officers are heroes bravely defending (white) folks from the hordes in the inner cities, so if a few innocent brown or black people have to die to make sure Bobby and Allison don't get their TV stolen, so be it. A lot of the people sharing these type of posts don't even believe in Miranda rights (for non-white people), let alone think it's a problem lots of black kids get shot.
