Nah man.

Well goodnight, thanks for posting the 538 polls. Tomorrow is a big day for Obama. I have a feeling the debate could be a pivotal night for McCain. He'll throw the kitchen sink.

McCain is kinda screwed. If he goes unhinged, it'll easily be spun as desperate or negative, and independent voters will trash his performance. If he plays nice, he still won't beat Obama on the actual issues. He's in a really, really sucky spot.

edit: damn, if they call Indiana for Obama within an hour of polls closing.. :lol

:lol Sean Hannity and his cronies just doesn't get that the people don't give a shit about Ayers and Rev. Wright no matter how high he shouts it from the rooftops. I love how infuriated its making him and i can only imagine it'll get worse close to election day.

So he's a...prisoner...of his own war?

I'm really looking forward to the possible McCain concession speech, especially after the kind of attacks he and his entire goon squad have fired.

Hannity's America will doom us to failure so long as A)we can cheerlead for the troops and B)vote against somebody on the basis that gay people might get married.

I hope he has the balls to show up on Fox on Nov. 5th. I'd love to laugh at his crestfallen ass after his party self-destructs.

he's really losing it. i can completely understand bringing up bill ayers, but why every five minutes, much less every episiode. it irks me to no end.

I know that this is disgusting, but I just might fap to his live-on-television meltdown on Election Night. And then I'd download a clip of said meltdown and keep it in my computer's porno folder for future fappage inspiration.

"Oh yeah, Sean baby.. I love it how that vein in your neck bulges out and your face turns bright red.. scream to me about Ayers some more.. yeaaaahhhh.." :lol

Thats alot of blue numbers.

Edit: Nate quote says it all "For the time being, however, John McCain is facing third and long -- and appears that he's about to get sacked."

Chuck Hagel wants a job. He actually spoke from the heart about Palin unlike these other clowns. You know he's rooting for Obama.
Is Chuck Hagel just around to balance out Brosef Leiberman this cycle?

Where can I go to learn about who is at fault here with the economic crisis?

My mom keeps talking about "some fox news documentary" and how it pins everything on the Democrats. Gonna have a heart attack.

November 5th 2008...the day the Neo-Con movement stopped.....well...moving

for all their combined parroting of talking points they have failed to change the narrative. the republican party will FINALLy drop em like a cheap used-up, ineffective, whore :D

He even had Rasmusson on tonight to talk about the fucking polls and brought up the Ayers/Wright/Surge shit trying to get him to admit that Obama can't be trusted.

i wouldn't be surprised if Hannity had Greta Van Sustren on to talk about OJ Simpson and randomly started screaming "FIREBOMBING AFGHANIS!" "BOMBED THE PENTAGON!".

Its just great to see. its not 4 or 8 years ago anymore. They're relevance is fading and they can't understand why they can't swift boat Obama.

This shit cracks me up too. How the fuck did the DEMs cause the crisis when the REPs had all the power?

I actually saw that this weekend. they even managed to tie Obama directly to it by mentioning his ties to Acorn.

Their basic opinion: The main cause of this crisis was democrats trying to get poor people housing. It might actually be partially true, sub prime lending hasn't worked out well at all, and the dems certainly weren't out there trying to cut down on the number of loans, but neither was anybody else. They also go out of their way to exonerate the Bush administration, claiming that they fought for greater regulation while the democrats ignored them and stifled their attempts. It is one of the most blatant propaganda pieces I've ever seen from fox news. It is very one sided, and this does not appear to be a one sided problem to me. Everybody has some blame to share.

My mom had the gall to tell me to do my own research and make sure to use "unbiased sources."

What the fuck. Just the other week I had her nearly on Obama's side (after months of talk).

Actually, I would start with this episode:

But yeah, between the two of them, the best explanation of the crisis I've heard.

Thanks, guys.

'NOW on PBS' did a good piece on New Mexico if anyone is bored and has about 25 minutes to spare.

This week, NOW on PBS travels to New Mexico to see how both campaigns are hoping to attract—and secure—first time voters on college campuses, as well as voters in New Mexico's large Hispanic population. It's clearly anyone's game—this southwestern state was won by fewer than 400 votes in 2000, and 6,000 votes in 2004.

At this point, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if McCain's concession was just a giant apology for running this campaign.

Less than a month to go :D

until us Alaskans get our governor back... I can tell you one thing though, it will be interesting to see if Palin reverts back to the person she was before the VP pick, or if her time away from the state and under the watchful eye of the republicans will have changed her for life. Hopefully she reverts back :(

Thanks, guys.

Those two This American Life's are some of the best journalism I've ever seen.

Also, here's a pretty good take down of the "LIBURULS caused it" argument. The American Prospect is a center left outlet, probably just to the left of something like The Atlantic, which cuts pretty nuetral.

http://www.prospect.org/cs/articles?article=did_liberals_cause_the_subprime_crisis

Also, this piece on 60 minutes is pretty good. http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=4502673n

and for the mortgage side of things, http://docs.google.com/TeamPresent?docid=ddp4zq7n_0cdjsr4fn&skipauth=true&pli=1

I don't see McCain apologizing for jack squat.

Neither do I. I honestly wonder if his contempt for the "terrorist-lovin' " voters and the victor will be obscured at all by the delivery and text of the speech. He seems to believe that he is absolutely entitled to the office of the Presidency.

People are wondering if she does go all out in attacking Obama and McCain loses the election her political career is OVER. So will she listen to the McCain camp or will she think about her future?

Me neither. Not after stunts like today's, where he went from owning up to what happened in Keating to having his campaign call it a "hit job."

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. No one has won yet, and you know McCain will pull out all the stops because the worse these polls get the less he has to lose.

Yup. 28 days is a long time in politics. About three weeks ago, this was tied. But if the polls don't budge much this week - after the brunt of this "terrorist" assault and the second debate where McCain is going to come out swinging with it - I'll be feeling pretty good.

But wow. Only 28 days to go. That's not very long. I just want to go to sleep and wake up on November 4th, and skip all the ugliness.
