Got a ticket from a black cop an hour ago. No sense of history. Didn't matter I had my "I voted today!" sticker on either. Motherfucker. PEACE.

Remember that 1 out of 10 blacks are Republicans. He was probably one of Them. Voter supression confirmed.

The thing is, I didn't think that someone saying people should have the same tax bracket would be any issue in the US (well, there you go, that's how much I know!), quite the opposite -- at least as far as republicans go.
And that whole interview was kinda crap. Sanchez brought up totally irrelevant points (what Joe earns and etc) and it's pretty obvious what Joe think. Instead, what Sanchez should have talked about is how Joe thinks that would work, with schools, roads and etc.

I mean, I'm totally for different tax brackets depending on what you earn and all. Didn't know USA was that socialistic, though! :lol

Sam Wurzelbacher has been pitched on his "personality" and how he allegedly represents the everyman and the ideals that the everyman holds, so his highly problematic personal background is most certainly fair game, particularly to the extent it shows him to be a hypocrite and an outright fraud, which it does.

My 52 year-old dad just told me he voted for the first time, because he saw how involved I was.

(He voted Obama, btw.)
That is a very heart-warming story. Glad to see political action and family bonding in one happy story.

Interesting tidbit about Guam's presidential vote:

From GuamPDN

Guam gets no Electoral Votes. But, unlike the results from Dixville Notch and Hart's Location, New Hampshire, Guam has been a reliable predictor of the outcome of the presidential election:

* Before President Reagan crushed Walter Mondale in 1984, he won by a landslide in Guam.

* George Bush won in 1988

* In 1992, Guam's straw poll said President George H. W. Bush only deserved one term.

* In 1996 Guam re-elected President Clinton by a wider margin than the states.

* In Guam, George W. Bush barely snuck past Al Gore in 2000.

* W beat John Kerry with ease in 2004.

Again Obama won a landslide in Guam with 62.7% of the vote.

Time for some tropical Hopium.

Sounds like they're just voting the results they see on TV from the lower 48.

Fuck my polling place. They didn't have me on the list so I had to fill out a bullshit porvisional ballot that probably won't even be counted. At least there was no line whatsoever.

I said fuck it and voted Obama.

Yes on 1A
No on 2
Yes on 3
Yes on 4
Yes on 5
No on 6
No on 7
No on 8
No on 9
No on 10
Yes on 11
No on 12

Did you like Obama? Why did you have to say fuck it?

This is the ultimate litmus test for America.

We're either:

  • Fucking morons that deserve our impeding apocalypse
  • Amazing aware of the change needed for our nation

...something like that.
Or somewhere in between, depending on who gets what share of the popular vote. ;)

I must say, I only know of one country with a free press where at least 45% of voters would vote for Senator McCain over President Obama.

And did he also complain about how could Obama have sat in that church for 20 years with that Rev. Wright? :lol
:lol In the same breath.

When I see that someone is so far off the mark that I start to involutarily laugh in their face a little, I just say my piece and let them go and believe what they want.

Personally, I don't think taxes should be raised on anyone. If I was king of America, I would just slash military spending by 20% and rain cash down on all other deserving sectors of the Fed budget... and we would still spend more on military spending than anyone else by a huuuuuuge degree.
I agree on principle, but... The US military is, in dollar terms, the largest government work program in the world, and it incidentally supports dozens of communities across the nation. You cannot slash its budget so deeply without radically altering the livelihoods of millions of people.

Joe Da Plumba is a dumbass, but Rick Sanchez was a dick and totally misrepresented his points. There's nothing to crow about in that interview.

LOL at the "due to long lines obama voters are asked to vote on wed."

That is a scam text message circulating right now. :lol

Anyone who falls for that probably shouldn't be allowed to vote anyways...

poor people pay little to no taxes right now, the rich pay a marginally higher rate of taxes. If you installed a flat tax of say 30% across the board, all of the sudden the poor HAVE to pay 30% in taxes and those in the lower tax brackets taxed at say what is now 20 to 25% have to pay 30%. and then those at the highest marginal tax bracket paying 35% on everything over 250,000 will see a decrease. Yes it would even things out in terms of everyone paying the same amount regardless of the marginal bracket you are in but a person making 30,000 a year and having to pay 30% in taxes hits them a lot harder than someone making 900,000 a year. Especially when you consider Joe also wants to get rid of any sort of welfare for the poor.

Even Milton Friedman said you cant tax the poor in a flat tax system because it would create a permanent underclass. joe is stupid and doesnt understand what he is saying or the ramifications of what he is proposing.

Alright, man. I know that stuff, I just didn't know that so many americans liked that system, which is why I was so confused by the whole thing. I thought that suggesting a kinda low flat tax would be welcomed by a lot of americans, well, at least republicans.

I still don't understand how McCain has a 1.1% chance of winning over at 538. That seems, er, a bit odd. :lol
It's science. You're an evangelical conservative if you don't honor it.

WAS. Polls have shown Napolitano would absolutely annihilate McCain in a senate race today. Should be within 5 or at least 10 tonight, which would have been unfathomable even a few weeks ago.
Yeah, but, man, I've been dreaming about some major kicking of ass here...the kind that embarrasses McCain in his home state. Oh...and...

Bush lowered the tax rate for rich people, putting a burden on the entire system. Correcting that mistake is not socialism, it's fiscal responsibility. A flat tax would mean rich people would pay less or the same, while poor people like Joe would pay more. The irony? Joe would realize his mistake when he saw his new paycheck and demand change.

How could they be voting based on results that aren't out yet? Guam is 15 hours ahead of EST. They were finished voting before sunrise in the US.

Well, the suggestion of abolishing stoplights would be welcomed by a lot of americans, too. Unless you actually did it.
