I'm leaving work early to pick up Valkyria and then head over to my Rep buddy's house to watch results come in and drink his bitter tears, so I probably won't post in this thread after 6 EST, but rest assured that Obamabet.jpg will be updated for tomorrow :D
The safest 3G's...godspeed.

I'm getting flashbacks of 2004 when those exit polls came in, everyone started freaking out over a Kerry win (in the happy, "yay, bush is gone" way), and then the results started coming in and maaaaaaaaaaaaan.

yeah, I feel the same as well...too bad it's not a very easy idea to sell these days.

There's been a unfortunate disconnect for the past 30 years between taxes and what taxes can actually be used for, which hasn't helped either. If we see good usage of tax dollars over the next few years, maybe a slight tax increase on everyone would be easier to sell.

I mean, we're at a point in our history where apparently raising the tax 4-5% on the wealthiest people gets you called a "socialist" for weeks on end. So, yeah, it's gonna be tough.
Well, hopefully the rest of the country is jonesing for some big-ass government right about now.

Oh, hey there. I do not know how you stand the weather there, but you have done a good thing, son. *salute*

NO, he's just testing our faith. True believers know he is just trying to fool the weakminded into thinking that he's NOT superhuman.

+5 McCain.

My parents and all of my grandparents voted for him, except for my paternal grandpa, who abstained from voting and last week told me, "We don't need an inexperienced jive-ass [African-American] in the White House, but I'll be goddamned if I let that McCain windbag imbecile come within a mile of being President."

.....

I think the context of the exit polls must be taken alongside the billion national and battleground states that have dropped this past week.

Kerry, despite overwhelming Exit Poll support, was behind Bush or just +1 Bush in almost every poll. Obama is fucking destroying polls and shit

Dax, did you just rip that list off the top of your head or something?

I see missing people!

This is the ultimate litmus test for America.

We're either:

  • Fucking morons that deserve our impeding apocalypse
  • Amazing aware of the change needed for our nation

...something like that.

This statement is moronic.

Vigo county is sort of an odd choice by Tom Oliphant. Vanderburgh and Clark Counties are more interesting material for South Indiana (which I agree is a really good indicator).

One of the worst feelings I have ever experienced. I do not exaggerate.

Estimate for Obama low end is 300 EVs

Potentially as high as 350. The realistic number is between the high and 320.

Obama is +40 among Hispanics, +60 among young voters.

Also remember, more Ds than Rs will talk to exit pollsters. So it will be skewed D. It always is.

I FULLY AND COMPLETELY TRUST THESE EXIT POLLS

Chuck Todd looks like he's in a fucking Command & Conquer cinematic. I keep expecting Kane to take over the transmission.

I could play a sweet game of Civilization with that setup.

How much were the exit polls off though? Was it just a couple %? Or completely misleading?

CNN's entire fucking studio is a touchscreen.

They have to be broadcasting this from the future...

I love how everyone says don't listen to exit polls but you just know they are going to get posted and picked apart ad infinitum in this thread anyway.
