revisiting ray of light, damn this record is just special. a little inconsistent (it's madonna) but when it hits..omg. so much feels
listened to some of it today. i still can't believe how ahead of its time it was. i miss that risk-taking from madonna.
Staying on the topic of music, would you advise getting into ray of light even if I havent really liked most of the stuff I've heard from Madonna? Confessions seems liked a good album, but I deleted the majority of stuff from her greatest hits albums.
The great thing about Madonna is that she consistently switches up her sound from album to album. If you don't like one of her albums, it's little indication that you'll hate them all.
Ray of Light is quite honestly one of the greatest albums I've ever heard. Confessions is also amazing, and probably my favourite dance album of all time.
Those two are probably her best, but if you're more interested, dive into Bedtime Stories, Erotica, Music, and American Life. Everything in the 90s up to 2005 is flawless.
I'm not the biggest fan of her earlier stuff, apart from the singles, which are all great 80s pop.
Sis you are missing out
this masterpiece. Ray Of Light shits on Confessions and our faves.
