I know all the details have not been disclosed yet but from what you have seen what do you think the price of the Wii U will be? I'm thinking $349.99 (Canada/U.S.).

Certainly not more than the Wii, given that online infrastructure is still an unknown with Nintendo.

In fact I would be waiting until that is confirmed to be on par or better than the current offerings.

they have to compete with kinect 250 dollars is about it considering its technically similar to 360 the lineup is way weaker and the market position of kinect

Given the fancy controller and tech that is supposedly superior to PS3, $300-$400.

There is no way Nintendo will go over $400.

Not over $300. Nintendo has never launched a console above $300 to my knowledge.

Reggie was price dodging in his interview with Geoff, it's possible they haven't even decided on a price yet.

Normally I'd say $249, but Nintendo doesn't like taking a loss on hardware, so I'd say $299. If the Wii U has similar hardware as Xbox or PS3, with the controller I can't see it being any lower.

It's gonna be $299.99. I'd like it to be $199.99.

Meet me in the middle Nintendo.

Nintendo's all about unorthodoxy, so I'm gonna guess something that's not an even $50... $325, 3DS dropping to $200 around the same time?

So far, they haven't really shown anything to fully justify a 300 dollar price tag. They probably will, but they haven't so far.

Basically, I need to see some real Wii U exclusive nintendo games before I determine the value of it.

right now I would want them to charge about 250 for it, but if they show some amazing looking software before release, I would probably feel more comfortable with 300 or 350.

The GPU is from 2008 so I am willing to bet they will launch at $300.

Depends on the tech, I would say.

If it's truly the equal to the Xbox 360 and PS3 graphical capabilities: $199 - $249

If it's notably ahead of those: $249 - $299

$299.99 seems possible but I went with $350 becuase of the controller. $250 seems low considering the 3DS launched at that price.

For Pikmin HD on launch I would give my soul.

Seriously though. My guess is that this thing will be $299 max.

$299

Expect a 3DS price drop so that Nintendo's console isn't only $50 more than its handheld. The Wii U is slightly more powerful than six year old tech. It shouldn't be $400.

I still think that it'll be $300. I'm just basing that on Nintendo's comments about still wanting to appeal to the casual gamer. I don't think that they can do that (initially) if they start at $400.

I'm willing to pay $400 for it given all that we know about it right now.

It will probably be $399, and I'm still enjoying the good laugh whenever people say it is on par/weaker/slightly better than six year old tech.

Hard to say with the unknown specs and whats included, any wii remotes?

But with that controller and nice looking graphics, I reckon it'll be $299 minimum.
