I do expect some EA at Sony this year and not the awkward teenage breakup act we saw last year with both sides trying to not mention eachother. I still expect EA as a company to be leaning very much on the green side again but they will have something.
Wouldn't be shocked if FF15 or KH3 show at MS though as a bit of a troll attempt. Maybe exclusive content for one or both.

It would be a pretty weak "troll" attempt.
The last-generation Final Fantasys sold so much better on the PlayStation 3, there is no point for Microsoft to pretend as though it has a foothold on the series.

I'm expecting Kingdom hearts 3 at MS for the pure troll nature of it. Especially after how everyone last year didn't believe it and was talking down the X1 version.

Anyway, what stood out to me most in the trailer is how expansive one of the shots made the environment look. I hope they broaden some of the exploration in this.
Does the casual public pay much attention to E3?
Dark Souls sold over 2 million and Dark Souls 2 is set to overtake it. If they're niche, they appeal to large niches. Sure, Project Beast doesn't have the same install base, but it will have much more marketing behind it than Demon's Souls ever did.

I dare to say that the Souls series is pretty much becoming casual. More and more people are becoming fond of these games. Not a day passes without Souls related posts on reddit. Dark Souls 2 has one of the highest current player counts on Steam.
It already became a cult-series. There is a big dedicated following and so many viral Souls related PvP/parody/lore/joke videos on Youtube. I'm inclined to believe this cult will grow only bigger and bigger.
I hope so. It's pretty clear at this point that the Xbox fanbase doesn't really care about Metal Gear.
I could see Mortal Kombat and maybe Far Cry at the MS conference.

That wouldn't be that important as long it is still a multiplatform game (no doubt about that). Metal Gear Ground Zero was attending last year's MS conference yet I have no doubt this game had a better audience on PS4. That doesn't mean much in the long run.
SE learned their lesson, I hope.
If anything, wouldn't it be advantageous to SE? They get Microsoft dollars, and the people who were going to buy it would watch the trailers and buy it anyway (even if it's not on MS).
Probably not because ultimately they will be promoting a lesser version.

Not a chance. If they were aware of anything, they wouldn't be living in their bubble where they're shocked that Bravely Default did well in the west and think Lightning is a popular character.
Although I'm cool with Lightning.

Probably not. People speculated the same thing about Dark Souls 2 because of the Faraam armor set being used in all the early promotions.

I know right? If that really happens, Square would have just shot themselves in their only foot left
with KI season 2, not going to happen. Ms would want focus on their own fighter and warner would want the focus on only their fighter and sony needs a fighter..so yeah.
