Not going to lie or sugar coat this...but using 8gb of GDDR5 is fucking really impressive. All we need to know is how much of that is available for the games. In another thread where we were talking about PS4 vs. High End PC's. While I still stand that PS4 wont hold a candle to a high end PC, what the PS4 will be able to do in some games is something that the PC wont be able to do. If 8gb, 7gb or even 6gb of GDDR5 is available to games on the PS4 that is something that PC gamers wont be able to match because the only GPU (available tomorrow) that has at least 6gb of GDDR5 will the the Geforce Titan.
With that said, Image Quality will still be king on High End PC's because of the Processor the GPU itself on PC's. But since the majority of PC games are console ports, if a PS4 game is using 6gb of GDDR5 memory, then a port to the PC may be interesting since the majority of GPU's have 2-3gb of GDDR5.
This news out of any is pretty damn impressive. Im am still in shock that it has 8gigs of GDDR5.
