Still more powerful than a ps5 slim. Can play Xbox games, many of the PlayStation games if not all soon, emulators and watch porn . Don't have to pay your kidney to get online service running every year. You get free games every couple of weeks from multiple store fronts like gog and epic ( that you actually own. Not lose if you don't sub again like a retard). Uses a superior keyboard and mouse and any 10$ controller you want from this planet or the next if it has usb. 10x the games library of the ps5 and Xbox series x combined. Cheaper games day one if you know where to buy from. If you updated your PC you will get to play at higher resolution and graphics by cranking up the settings to max for the ultimate experience or with the use of mods, you won't have to pay Sony or MS or any shitty publishers upgrade fees of 10$ minimum per game …

Yeah I'll take that over ps5.

But you had to go with the cheapest motherboard, with vrms and cooling so bad, the CPU will probably throttle if anyone just looks at it.
A PSU that, in conjunction with the vrms, will be a disaster. And so cheap, it might be a risk for the rest of that PC.
And a Sata SSD, using TLC and ramless.

That is a terrible PC, that I would not recommend to anyone.

Edit: it's also missing a mouse and keyboard.

Sure, it's pretty much the same specs as the PC I have. Just I don't have a garbage PSU/Case/Mobo. There's many advantages to a PC.

But saying it's "cheap". Hmmm. That's perspective. I got my PS5 used for under £300.

Not to mention to get that price you actually have to be capable of building your own pc which the majority just aren't.

Or a Windows license, if you need that for monke. And, we all know this isn't how it works. You start putting together the PC and are like, "ehh... Maybe I should spend more on this"... And then "if I spend only $40 more on this..." And before you know it that's a $800 PC.

Are people that post here just really poor or something? Is $700-$900 once every 3-5 years a lot of money for some of you? It shouldn't be that much money for NA and most of Europe. But hey if you are that cash strapped then I can understand the cost complaints.

Hey if people are legitimately cash strapped then I can fully understand going to consoles. A cheap older console and loaning physical games and buying second hand games on the cheap is a cost effective way of gaming. It's just that I highly doubt the majority snearing at PC hardware prices are in that situation.

I'm not saying that everyone must enjoy PC gaming, some people prefer consoles for a ton of other reasons other then cost. But pretending that entry level PC gaming isn't cheap in the grand scheme of things is ludicrous.

I've been saying this for ages on here. People are unable to save money for what they want and find a strategy to do so.

I knew when the PS5 was launching, therefore I put x amount of money away/weekly. At time of release, I am ready to buy. it's even easier for standalone game titles. Sure, there are games/consoles to where I can impulse by them if the cash is readily available. If not, I plan ahead. I guess I am thankful for having a secure, salary based job.

I get the strapped for cash part, but there's really no reason to be in a discussion like these if people can't afford stuff day 0. I couldn't imagine always hoping/waiting for a 'sale' of a game.

while buying a console for one game is the type of retardation i respect, it's like a bunch of non-gamer christians buying ps5s for a high-profile jesus game.
 
Some people just want an easy way to play the game. The game plays fine at a enough stable 60fps on PS5 (for their first UE5 game, it's already an achievement IMO); This was the most important for players. Also with a PS5 they can also play tons of others games.

Xbox first party AAAA developers with decades of experience should take notes.

Do you always have the best Samsung oder IPhone. It's not that much more after all right. You can easy save up to do so. But if you don't need a better smartphone than you already have its a waste of money. So yes if a 500$ console provides you with all the gaming functionality you need than paying more than that is stupid even if you have the money.

You're misunderstanding me, I never said buy a PC if you're happy with a console. I said the cost complaints over what in the end is trivial for most people in NA and Westen Europe is nonsensical. If you're a billionaire and prefer consoles then go ahead and enjoy.

I can easily buy a PS5, I just refuse to do so as buying a console for >300 GBP. It is called as fiscal discipline and having a modicum of self-control. Also, I will not spend 70$ on a game. It is not like I have a dearth of games (Steam Deck + PS4 + Switch). And yes, I will never ever spend 800$ on a desktop PC. Why stop at 800, I have the money to afford a 4090 based PC. I am not a pixel peeping nutcase like the DF guys. All I care about is how pretty a game looks and none of these keywords (Lumen, Nanite, RT, etc) achieve that. I would much rather play pretty games like HFW or BoTW than ugly ass shit games like Metro Exodus with ultra accurate RT shadows.

My current phone is a Pixel 6 pro that I got on sale for 400 GBP, next phone will be a sub 200 Xiaomi or Motorola. Can I afford to pay 1000 GBP for a phone? Yes, I can. Will I do so, when the Xiaomi phone does everything I want? Nope.
