Edit: 8/10 final score. Good job Sony, but a lot of shut in the middle looked the same I felt. Super excited about Ratchet, Horizon and Spider-Man. Box looks rad as well.

I kinda would have thought Sony would have more adult next gen games prepared. I mean nothing looks even close to TLOU2. really like that their pushing Indie Devs, but I want to see something that's truely fresh

At some point people just have to accept were further into the point of diminishing returns with graphics. It's going to take some crazy revolution, probably in display tech to wow us like moving from 8bit to 16bit, from 2d to 3d, from SD to HD etc.

I'm not disappointed as I just wanted to see games that appealed to me as I largely don't give a shit about graphics anymore. Hell, I've probably played handheld on my Switch more than I've played on my PC or PS4 Pro the past couple of years. I've seen a lot of games up my alley in this, and I'm getting more excited about PS5 just because it looks like there will be a lot more I want to play the first year+ of PS5 than was the case with PS4 and X1.

No it's not diminishing returns. We're simply in a transition state now. We haven't even started the gen. Usually things get better 2-3 years into the gen.

I have yet to be convinced that Sony needs a new console for any of these. Just drop the old ps4, sell only the Ps4 pro at the OG ps4's prive, and maybe add an SSD sku. Then revisit in 3 years lol.
