Nobodyspatzy said:2. Is there like a psp "wiibrew.org" equivalent to find the homebrew software you recommend? I sadly have only found warez sites, and don't want to support them, so any recommended site would be good.
3. Any must have software that I should have? like I said, I only have Picodrive on right now with Sonic CD...but anything else that's good let me know as well!
Thanks for your help!

Should be interesting to see what comes of this, but I'm not holding my breath.

Apparently more stuff is coming from this team in a few days. Set attention to "hopeful".
This little homebrew app from dev and QJ.NET forum member Light_AleX could prove useful to those who have different PSN accounts for each of the Network's supported regions. PSN License Manager lets you do three things:
* Backup your PSN license.
* Restore your PSN license.
* Delete the backup license on the memory stick.
The backup part means you don't have to overwrite your current license by using a different one. It's also all done on your PSP, so there's no need to connect to a PC (other that when you install the app, of course).

Yea definitely because I realy do love the curves on the 3000. If cracked I would have to upgrade.Fox the Sly said:Uh oh, if this continues I might actually get my hopes up.

HEN will be a stripped down enabler lacking many features of M33 custom firmware. It'll allow the bootup of homebrew regardless but may be restrictive to certain applications (in cases where it will not boot at all). However, applications will be released to enhance the HEN such as the loading of M33 custom firmware when I get permission to use the modules.
As another note, the conditions of the TIFF exploit as very unstable (as you might have noticed) and flashing of modules to flash0 is improbable and will load off the memorystick. An eboot will be supplied to countervent this and will flash the modules in a more stable enviroment.
Release is currently unconfirmed but will be before Tuesday.

scitek said:So, a way to install CFW to a 3000 may come before Tuesday, but it will be really unstable and only run certain apps?
Pass.
Dani said::lol
Suppose you expect them to have it all up and working 100%? It also won't be unstable, apparently they are correcting that, so don't put in a bad light like that.
It's a start, it's better than nothing, and if true, it's pretty awesome.

-jinx- said:Quick (stupid) question since it's been a while...
I recently got my PSP-2000 analog stick repaired, so I'm back to PSP gaming. I have a semi-recent version of the M33 firmware on it (4-point-something), and I believe that it had the ability to update the firmware via Network Update. I know that the most recent firmware is 5.00 M33-6, and I'd like to upgrade, but when I do Network Update, it looks suspiciously like the official Sony update process.
So is this just a usability flaw in that it looks scary, but the network update will get me to 5.00 M33-6 just fine? Or should I use a recent Memory Stick-based firmware updater with a Pandora battery to get to the latest version?

They go in x:\ISO (where x is your drive letter)Dirtyshubb said:Hey got a little problem.
Updated to the latest m33 firmware (was on 5 m33 already) and for some reason i cant get my iso's to work now!
Just wondered if there was some specific folder and settings i need them in as TBH i cant remember the last time i played an iso on it so my memory is a bit fuzzy
Thanks for any help.
Mejilan said:It's a certainty. At the absolute least convenient worst-case scenario (OFW is beyond 3.50, IIRC), you won't be able to rely on a purely software solution and will need to create or procure a Pandora battery. In the best case scenario, you'll be able to use a software exploit to flash CFW on it.
Thanks a lot, i didnt have the driver set up to M33 so that was the problem. I dont think i have used an iso since 5 so i have never changed that setting.Fuzzy said:They go in x:\ISO (where x is your drive letter)
Make sure you have the right driver enabled. At the XMB hit "Select" and then check if the "UMD ISO MODE" is set to "M33 driver". Hope that helps.
TheGreatDave said:Got my PSP; the installed firmware is 2.81, "c1003" is written inside behind the UMD drive. I don't have my memory stick or games yet, so I've basically got a large paperweight, but do I need to buy any games to aid me in installing CFW? I thought I needed GTA or Lumines or something along those lines.
