Thanks!

Castor Krieg said:After I NEED SCISORS posted the guide I'm seriously debating getting a PSP Go. I never power off my PSP completely, and I love the form factor of the Go. Hell, my red PSP-2000 can probably fund entirely my PSP Go purchase.
MoogPaul said:keep in mind you will still need a PSP with a UMD drive in order to rip games.
I NEED SCISSORS said:Try the newer version of Prometheus, v0.2.
All the compatibility lists i've seen confirm that it should work.
Hmm will give a try tomorrowMejilan said:Hey Go-ers, why not give this new SNES emu build a shot?

I wonder whether this new CFW, albeit temporary, does support those games that currently appear incompatible with the other ISO loaders.MoogPaul said:so 6.35PRO-A was released. It seems like if you shut down your system you need to start HEN and than the updater everytime. But its pretty simple. Drop into game folder, load up 6.35HEN, run updater, success.

I should probably mention that I did this on a PSP-2000
MiniBossman said:So dumb question. If I just walk across the street to Best Buy at lunch and pick up a PSPGo, I don't need to worry about what FW version is on it?
Shai-Tan said:that guide is assuming 6.20. for 6.35 some basic plugins work but they should be in plugins not seplugins (edit: apparently cxmb works now). also running iso from xmb isn't a problem with anything anymore after the new version of iso_tool which creates icons for iso (no need at all for an iso loading module). custom ps1 eboot don't work in 6.35 either but psn version of psx games do
Castor Krieg said:Last question: how responsive are the buttons and how "fragile" is the system? I plan on playing hardcore DJ Max on that thing. So far my PSP-2000 survived 4 years with not a single problem.

If anyone can try it out and confirm if this boots Capcom Classics Reloaded and Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, it would be greatly appreciated.

No signed emus yet?
schennmu said:Hi guys. I've been stuck with 5.50 CFW forever on my 3000. The post on the last page only talks about this temporary CFW, but is there a good new permanent CFW? I've been out of the PSP loop...
hikarutilmitt said:I'm assuming you either meant you have a 2000 or that you're on 5.03 CFW. Honestly, for what IS installed, I would stay where you are until a more viable solution is around. Right now we, those of us still on 5.03/5.50 still have pops support, better ISO compatibility and better plugin support.
schennmu said:You're right it's a 2000, my bad! Guess I will leave it as it is then. What do I need to run some of the newer games? I would like to pick up Tactics Ogre soon, but there probably is no way.
hikarutilmitt said:So long as you used the prometheus updater for your CFW you should be fine. the only other thing might be to rip the UMD and patch the game in some way, should it not work as it is. I kind of doubt it'll be an issue though, as even really recent PSP games have been working fine.
Oyashiro said:Huh... So I just got my Go in the mail and it's firmware 6.10. I tried to update it to the official 6.20 firmware but whenever I try to run the update, it says something along the lines of "this firmware update isn't compatible with your system". What the hell?

snk2 said:So how can i dump my UMD's on a 3004 PSP with 6.20 TN-C? UMDumper doesn't work.
hikarutilmitt said:use the UMD Dump prx plugin form Takka. Basically set it up like any other plugin, put the menu on the game and hit home. It's done dumping once the memory stick access light stays off.
snk2 said:Thanks, i'm dumping Ridge Racer 2 right now.I'm guessing it will dump it in the ISO folder, right?
hikarutilmitt said:Yep. The thing I really like about it is that the file name is <game ID>.iso, so for offbeat archival/lookup purposes it's more useful than UMD Dumper was. Of course, the game will still show up on the XMB with the proper information, but if you're using prometheus ISO loader you may want to rename the ISOs to the proper game name. This is one of the reasons I liked using the openidea plugin instead (before I brought my 3000 back to 5.03 again).
Oyashiro said:EDIT: Finally got it working, woooo! My only issue is that the list doesn't scroll, so some of my games go beyond what I can see... Is there any way to fix that? Also, is it normal that the loader shows a copy of all my isos? For example, if I have Daxter, the list will show "Daxter" and ".Daxter" right under it.
