j-wood said:I am trying to downgrade my firmware to 6.20 from 6.35 as detailed in the previous post. I downloaded 6.20 and put it in PSP/GAME/UPDATE and I put the downgrade in PSP/GAME/DOWNGRADER.
When I launch the downgrader, it tells me "ms08: error opening PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT"
What am I doing wrong?
snk2 said:May i ask why did you go back to 5.03?I didn't know it is possible to downgrade.
Speaking of Lenneth, I can report that the european version actually seems to work flawlessly if you rip the clean ISO from its UMD, decrypt the EBOOT through 'ISO Tool' v. 1.964, apply the Version Patch during the process, and then create an XMB-Icon out of it.The real clincher was buying Valkyrie Profile Lenneth (for a good price!) and the ISO not running with the ISO loaders available for the 6.20 exploit (I hate running from UMD).
Yeah, apparently 6.35 PRO-A/A1 writes some prx files to flash0, which is said to be causing some issues for UMD playback on 3000 models. However the latest version (A1) should allow to remove those files and restore full functionality for those who had such problems.snackman said:I upgraded to what the new 6.35proA was about seemed good and all but my pico driveCD froze once and I went back to 6.20 lol. my PSP3k doesnt like writing to the flash either which 6.35 does I think?.
j-wood said:So gaf, I have a psp 3000 and just downgraded to 6.2 and put the latest hen on there. What are the next few things I should do?
1. I installed a genesis emulator and got roms working on that
2. I put iso tool on it, but how do I rip my umd games to the psp so I can play them without the disk? Is there a guide somewhere?
3. What are some neccessary plug ins?
4. If I shut the psp all the way off and go back to ofw, what happens if I try tp launch iso tool or an emulator?
hikarutilmitt said:use the UMD Dump prx plugin form Takka. Basically set it up like any other plugin, put the menu on the game and hit home. It's done dumping once the memory stick access light stays off.
larvi said:I currently have a 2000 with OFW 5.03 using hen to install 5.03gen c CFW. Is there any good reason why I should or shouldn't upgrade the OFW to a newer version and use one of the newer hen CFWs?
hikarutilmitt said:I'd say to stay where you're at. Right now the 5.03 exploit (you should really install the prometheus loader into it) gives you more function.
larvi said:Thanks for the info, I will keep it at 5.03 then. I'll suspect I'll end up with a GO eventually when I can find one on the cheap and can play around with the newer CFWs on it.
Do I have to worry about any UMD games automatically upgrading the OFW on my slim without my consent? I have a couple of newer games that I've bought recently and a bit leary of playing them because of that.

Anyone?angelfly said:Does anyone know if the PSP part of Hatsune Miku Dreamy Theater will run on CFW? (currently on 5.50 Gen-D3)
angelfly said:Anyone?
I guess it's not possible. So my other question is (been out of the PSP loop) if I upgrade to the latest OFW will I always be able to just go back to 5.50 CFW using a pandora battery? I'm using a launch PSP.
hikarutilmitt said:Just install the OFW. But with a fat PSP you're better off going to 5.50 Gen with the prometheus add-on, if you're wanting to keep the CFW functions.
You're not joking. Every time this thread bumps I hold my breath for TN-D and it never arrives.jling84 said:I need TN-D!!! I've been checking this thread every couple of hours hoping that it has been released.
confused said:Doesn't work.
Found out that I had to go 3.52 M33>3.52 M33-3>4.01 M33> OFW

Birbo said:How'd you get one for $80?
Those 13 games will go bye-bye as soon as you transfer your own PSN games over.BladeoftheImmortal said:Friend sold me his old one. we had agreed to 100, but once the NGP was announced i said i'd have to think about it, so he dropped it another 20 dollars. That was good enough for me.
EDIT: Great condition too, and already at 6.20. Also came with like 13 games already on the internal memory.
hikarutilmitt said:That's... completely ridiculous. there's no reason you shouldn't have been able to just load up whatever OFW you needed and let it go. What sort of error did it give you when you tried?
SonOfABeep said:So I did that 6.35 downgrade to 6.20.
Did it affect anyone else's purchased content? like PSOne games from the PSN store?
It's telling me I need to authenticate them when it wasn't ever doing that before. They will boot while HEN is enabled, but error back to XMB. Without HEN enabled it just tells me it has to be authenticated.
I hope i don't run up on my limits for transferring these games if the downgrader somehow messes with the console ID sony uses when transferring content from the PS3.
Thanks, I tried it and it didn't work but instead of trying different versions of of CFW I just ordered a pandora and for the time being turned my normal battery into a pandora battery and setup a spare memory stick to use with it. I updated to 6.37 and it's been working fine. I usually only use my PSP in the house so having to power it up with the ac adapter for a week or two isn't so bad.hikarutilmitt said:A pandora will let you go back, yeah.
From what I've read in a few places, Dreamy Theater will work on a CFW PSP because the PS3 and game don't do a FW check on the system. Frankly I wish they'd just make it its own independent download and be done with it.
