yeah,i have stuff from the european psn store and the american psn store. is it possible to play those both on a HEN PSP go? am i still bound by the different accounts or can i play them on a HEN 6.20 PSP GO. obviously it sucks to switch between the profiles.

Unfortunately, no. I hope the NGP will allow multiple accounts but I doubt it.

I've just received my UMD copy of Peace Walker and I'm eager to play it on my Go.

Do I need to follow some specific steps to play it accordingly, with all the voices and sounds intact? I remember reading about having to do a complete install to get the codec voices, even if booting the game directly from the ISO.

Does this still apply to Prometheus ISO Loader on a 6.20 TN-C PSPGo as well?

So I just lost a few hours of progress after my 6.35 HEN PSP Go restarted for no reason after I left it in sleep mode for a few hours while charging, why did this happen? The game starts up normally if i put it in sleep mode for a few minutes though...

EDIT: Whoops forgot to mention that I'm using ISO Tool ISOs, i made the eboot with 'make XMB icon' or something.

I am trying to downgrade my firmware to 6.20 from 6.35 as detailed in the previous post. I downloaded 6.20 and put it in PSP/GAME/UPDATE and I put the downgrade in PSP/GAME/DOWNGRADER.

When I launch the downgrader, it tells me "ms08: error opening PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT"

What am I doing wrong?

You need the 6.20 firmware saved in PSP/GAME/UPDATE. Think of it as if you are 'updating' to 6.20.

Also remember that PSP Go uses different firmware from the x000 models.

May i ask why did you go back to 5.03?I didn't know it is possible to downgrade.

I was on 5.03 until this recent wave of new exploits came out, and had upgraded to 6.20 to test them and be on a newer firmware in case a game I bought needed it and for whatever reason didn't work with prometheus (I'm big on being on bleeding edge of updates as much as possible and logical). I lamented the inability to play my own PSone eboots, but the real clincher was buying Valkyrie Profile Lenneth (for a good price!) and the ISO not running with the ISO loaders available for the 6.20 exploit (I hate running from UMD).

The downgrade was pretty easy to do and involved some version trickery and eboot decryption, but it worked and I'm back to the 5.03 "pretty much everything works" goodness.

Its been a while since I browsed this thread when PSP Go was still not homebrew friendly :lol

Was reading the last 20 pages or so and decided to give my Go a shot since I bought BBS and CC thinking Sony was gonna do the "vouchers for Go owners" crap >_>

After an hour of trial and noob error, this baby shows up:

Thank you based God ;_;

Still running on 6.31 firmware. I cant be bothered to upgrade to 6.35 unless theres significant benefits :p

Speaking of Lenneth, I can report that the european version actually seems to work flawlessly if you rip the clean ISO from its UMD, decrypt the EBOOT through 'ISO Tool' v. 1.964, apply the Version Patch during the process, and then create an XMB-Icon out of it.

I just played it for over an hour without any issues on my 6.20 TN-C PSPGo. I'll be trying the same method with Capcom Classics Collection later and see if I obtain the same results.

So gaf, I have a psp 3000 and just downgraded to 6.2 and put the latest hen on there. What are the next few things I should do?

1. I installed a genesis emulator and got roms working on that
2. I put iso tool on it, but how do I rip my umd games to the psp so I can play them without the disk? Is there a guide somewhere?
3. What are some neccessary plug ins?
4. If I shut the psp all the way off and go back to ofw, what happens if I try tp launch iso tool or an emulator?

ok, i want to give remotejoy a try(mainly because my psp has seen better days and i might as well save up for the ngp) and im curious on a few notes

1) it seems that there were problems running it on x64 configurations. has that issue been worked out and if so, do i have to go through hoops to get it to work?

2) is it possible to get it to work with a pc controller? thats the most important issue.

So I have an M2(?) Stick but someone in this thread mentioned awhile back that Prometheus cant read off the memory stick and my backup games have to be in the Go's internal memory or something.

Any tips? :(

Also, on the 6.20 HEN, the VSH menu doesn't have an option to change the usb device to the UMD drive...how do I get that?

I guess I should also state that I have a psp-3000

Yeah, apparently 6.35 PRO-A/A1 writes some prx files to flash0, which is said to be causing some issues for UMD playback on 3000 models. However the latest version (A1) should allow to remove those files and restore full functionality for those who had such problems.

By the way, Capcom Classics Reloaded doesn't work even after decrypting the EBOOT and patching. It's odd that all those titles with fierce protections (like KH) now work efficiently and without any hassle, but these old and simple collections refuse to boot any of their individual games.

use the UMD Dump prx plugin form Takka. Basically set it up like any other plugin, put the menu on the game and hit home. It's done dumping once the memory stick access light stays off.

There you go, works fine on my 6.20 3000.

I currently have a 2000 with OFW 5.03 using hen to install 5.03gen c CFW. Is there any good reason why I should or shouldn't upgrade the OFW to a newer version and use one of the newer hen CFWs?

Is it possible that downgrading your firmware would mess up your screen?

Yesterday I downgraded to 6.20 from 6.35 so I could use HEN 6.2 C. Then while playing my backed up copy of BBS, I noticed this almost grey box taking up most of the screen.

It's like there is a box and inside the box it is a tad darker, and outside the box it's a bit lighter, with outside the box maybe being | | that much of the screen (from the edge of the psp screen to the inside, where the box starts.

I've never noticed this before. Anyway to fix it?

I'd say to stay where you're at. Right now the 5.03 exploit (you should really install the prometheus loader into it) gives you more function.

Thanks for the info, I will keep it at 5.03 then. I'll suspect I'll end up with a GO eventually when I can find one on the cheap and can play around with the newer CFWs on it.

Do I have to worry about any UMD games automatically upgrading the OFW on my slim without my consent? I have a couple of newer games that I've bought recently and a bit leary of playing them because of that.

You have to select the update from the UMD menu itself for it to apply.

What's the best way to get a psp 1004 from 3.30 OE to ofw ?

Just install the OFW. But with a fat PSP you're better off going to 5.50 Gen with the prometheus add-on, if you're wanting to keep the CFW functions.

Does anyone know if the PSP part of Hatsune Miku Dreamy Theater will run on CFW? (currently on 5.50 Gen-D3)
Anyone?

I guess it's not possible. So my other question is (been out of the PSP loop) if I upgrade to the latest OFW will I always be able to just go back to 5.50 CFW using a pandora battery? I'm using a launch PSP.

A pandora will let you go back, yeah.

From what I've read in a few places, Dreamy Theater will work on a CFW PSP because the PS3 and game don't do a FW check on the system. Frankly I wish they'd just make it its own independent download and be done with it.

Doesn't work.

Found out that I had to go 3.52 M33>3.52 M33-3>4.01 M33> OFW

You're not joking. Every time this thread bumps I hold my breath for TN-D and it never arrives. :(

That's... completely ridiculous. there's no reason you shouldn't have been able to just load up whatever OFW you needed and let it go. What sort of error did it give you when you tried?

Is there a way to make a pandora battery and magic memory stick using Mac Os X ?
No I don't have and don't want to buy a Windows licence, thanks)

So I went from 5.50 Prome-4 on a Slim to 6.20 TN-C on a Go. I transferred my saves over, but it seems like they're corrupted. Is there anything I can do to fix them? I remember there was a PSP application that fixed broken saves when you upgraded from an older version of Prometheus to a newer one.

How'd you get one for $80?

Friend sold me his old one. we had agreed to 100, but once the NGP was announced i said i'd have to think about it, so he dropped it another 20 dollars. That was good enough for me.

EDIT: Great condition too, and already at 6.20. Also came with like 13 games already on the internal memory.

Those 13 games will go bye-bye as soon as you transfer your own PSN games over.

Hey, what's the best option for a 1000 these days? I think it's flashed with 5.50-prome4 at the moment and like a lot of people I'm out of the loop but looking forward to picking up TO next week.

Game could not be started (DADADADA) Which was DAX's way of preventing accidentally overwrites of CFW.

So I did that 6.35 downgrade to 6.20.

Did it affect anyone else's purchased content? like PSOne games from the PSN store?

It's telling me I need to authenticate them when it wasn't ever doing that before. They will boot while HEN is enabled, but error back to XMB. Without HEN enabled it just tells me it has to be authenticated.

I hope i don't run up on my limits for transferring these games if the downgrader somehow messes with the console ID sony uses when transferring content from the PS3.

I don't know if I can ask it, if not don't ban just tell me I will edit the post.

Does anyone still has or know where to find damn patchers for DJ Max Portable games? I got all of the on UMD, and they are rare ones to have INSANE piracy protection, simply having CFW won't do.

What firmware were they signed for when you bought them?

Thanks, I tried it and it didn't work but instead of trying different versions of of CFW I just ordered a pandora and for the time being turned my normal battery into a pandora battery and setup a spare memory stick to use with it. I updated to 6.37 and it's been working fine. I usually only use my PSP in the house so having to power it up with the ac adapter for a week or two isn't so bad.
