PSP Custom Firmware Thread

Will a GBA emulator newer than gPSP 3.2 run on Pro-B? Not to mention the better SNES emulator.
Oh, and should I use the "Fast Recovery" thing for future CFW reapplications?

Fast Recovery allows you to jump back into the LCFW if you hard shut off your psp. It allows you to get back into Pro-B without re-installing the prx files. You must already have Pro-B installed on your psp.

Do you think there's any chance that we'll ever see a custom firmware for PSP-2000s again? I'm about to buy a damned Go just so I can actually play games I buy off the PSN store and so I can play PS1 titles with the new emulator.

6.37ME is a CFW just for PSP2k that are hackable. Its not perfect though, a bit buggy and custom PS1 games don't work, but its there.

I need help, bros. The action buttons of my PSP stopped working; they work in Recovery Mode, but they don't work in XMB. I tried to fix it with Hellcat's Recovery Flasher, but it turns out that the action buttons also don't work there so I get stuck in the first screen; any ideas? I already tried KeyCleaner and it said that my buttons should be working perfectly.

I was wondering if someone could help me out with ISO Tool 1.96 on 6.20 TN HEN-C?
I'm trying to install my UMD copy of Midway Arcade Treasures to my memory stick, but I'm not having any luck. When I select my UMD Drive and then ISO convert, the process lasts a split second and I get a message of " 0/ -4 Sector Complete". Not sure what I'm missing or doing wrong.
Do I also need to install some sort of Plug In? If so I'm really unfamiliar with that stuff, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wait so PRO-B doesn't work on 2000s?

Definitely works for me. I'm currently playing Policenauts on it and am on the second disc. Also playing the UMD version of Tactics Ogre with no problems for either game.

5.50 Prometheus here.

Having an issue where my official PSX-PSN games wont work. After the warning message the screen goes black and the psp auto-shuts off.

Custom made eboots of other PSX games work fine.

What could be the issue ?

So I ripped Tactics Ogre with ISO Tool ver. 1970 on my PSP-3000 with firmware 6.35, but when I try to load it with Prometheus I just get a black screen. Am I supposed to do something else with the iso before I can play it?

EDIT: I found a patch that I needed.

EDIT2: Which didn't work...

Have you tried different ISO drivers?

I seemed to have gotten it to work now. I've only played for a short time, but no crash where other people supposedly got crashes. I decrypted the eboot in iso tool and that seemed to have done the trick.

I didn't think about this before I started playing Fear Effect, but I guess there's no way I can switch disks when I need to? Shame if so, the game looks damn good on a PSP screen.

Edit: Nevermind, I didn't realise you could make multi-disk eboots. Score!

The NA version of Tactics Ogre?

I am currently running a CFW 6.35 pro B on my psp GO and it works flawlessly !
However my PSN purchases are split between two accounts (US and Euro), is there a way with this CFW to make the games from the two accounts work without the need to activate the account it was downloaded from ?

I uninstalled 6.35 PRO-B CFW since my legally bought PSN games don't work on it without patching them.
I guess I'll wait till I've cleared all the games I wanted on PSP before using any CFW.

This little app supposedly does the job "PSN License Manager v0.1"

So do backed up ISOs work on the PSP Go with 6.35 Pro-A4/B? My PSP-2000 has finally gone to crap and I can't use the analog stick even after trying to fix it. Only thing allowing me to use it at all is some plugins disabling it.

PSP Gos are actually cheaper here in Japan so I thought it might be a decent replacement if I can back-up and play the games I already have.

sorry if this is not the right place to ask, is there any sort of working PSP emulators out there?

I'm planning to buy SRWZ2 when it's out in april, but i don't feel like buying a PSP cuz the NGP is just on the horizon and it's backwards compatible. So i guess i plan to get the game first, play on an emu then buy the NGP by end of the year.

Got a PSP with OFW 2.50, I cant find "system update" on here only network update, what am I doing wrong?

Network Update updates with the Wifi, the other place a system update would be located is under Game (either under the UMD or on the memory stick if you saved it there).

Backed up isos work on PSP Go systems running on either TN or Pro firmware, yes.

Will definitely be upgrading to TN-D, I just really wish Total_Noob could figure out how to make it so we can load isos from the XMB without the use of isotool. Whenever I make isos using iso tool, the pic0 or whatever it is is aways broken :/ It's not a big deal, but it kind of annoys me, haha

I think he knows how to do it. I believe he's one of those people who don't like ISO support because of piracy.

Are all the SNES emulators really sluggish? I'm on 6.35 Pro-B on the Go and they all skip frames in most games.
Also what's the best GBA emu I can run? gPSP Kai 3.4 Test 3 is prone to hanging or resetting the whole PSP.

What will 6.20 TN-D have that would make it better than 6.35 PRO-B?

From what I've read the PRO firmware is terribly written (writes to flash, for instance. That's not a good idea).
