Cyberpunk is more demanding. Psychonauts 2 looks great and runs smooth.Hmm. I wonder if this will run on my gaming laptop. It runs Cyberpunk fairly well.
They don't make Hey Arnold! cartoons anymore, for some reason I associate this game with Hey Arnold. Probably the art style and unusual characters.Played for about a half an hour and loving it so far. They don’t make games like this anymore.
Any chance you can visit the campfire area and count the number of ….Playing part 1 still.
uh, sure lol. It wont be until tonight when I get home. Might be faster to look it up lol, but I'm intrigued.Any chance you can visit the campfire area and count the number of ….
stumps.
Playing part 1 still. Just got to the Napoleon level. This is genius man. What a game. I think I'm going to have to try Brutal Legend as well.
Almost. Spacebase DF-9 is just flat out bad and blatantly unfinished. Hack and Slash is not very good either though the concept is pretty cool.Brutal Legend amazing too. Infact all Double Fine games are worth checking out.
Having never got into the original (and pardon my ignorance) but is this game something along the lines of a Mario 64 type 3D platformer, or am I completely wrong here?Played for about a half an hour and loving it so far. They don’t make games like this anymore.
It is a 3D platformer yes. I don't think I would compare it to Mario 64.. I'm honestly not sure what you would compare it to. You play as an acrobatic psychic kid that delves into the minds of people which presents unique stories and gameplay. No other platformer really carries a story like Psychonauts. I would just give it a go. It's honestly fantastic. Both games are great, but jumping straight into 2 is fine.Having never got into the original (and pardon my ignorance) but is this game something along the lines of a Mario 64 type 3D platformer, or am I completely wrong here?
Maybe also play or watch a let's play of Rhombus of Ruin. It's only about two hours long and bridges the two.Nice to see the praise this gets. Soon I’ll start the first game (for the first time ever) then after finishing it will jump straight to the sequel.
It's definitely in that genre, maybe a little closer to Rayman 2 than Mario 64, but it's a lot more narratively driven.Having never got into the original (and pardon my ignorance) but is this game something along the lines of a Mario 64 type 3D platformer, or am I completely wrong here?
I’d say it’s closer to something like A hat in time. If your familiar with that game.Having never got into the original (and pardon my ignorance) but is this game something along the lines of a Mario 64 type 3D platformer, or am I completely wrong here?
I am aware. Thought it was pretty good.I’d say it’s closer to something like A hat in time. If your familiar with that game.
Ya I loved that game as well.I am aware. Thought it was pretty good.
Jack Black does a great job. The music in that level is so damn catchy too. Finally got to the level with Jack Black and caught myself laughing out loud to myself more than a few times.
That's good. I kept hearing it was a long game. I prefer games to stay under 20 hours, with few exceptions (Witcher, Souls, or certain RPGs)Beat the game in 13 hours and that's with decent exploration. 100% will probably be around 15 hours or more.
I looked right after you posted this and it was gone. I checked again(on GP PC) and it's back. I had to close and restart it to get it to play. Same with Myst. They both work fine now, I'd guess they were just updating something. Is everyone who has Xcloud still able to access P2?
It is not showing up in my Xcloud on Windows 10 (only shows up on Game Pass tab). Xbox Android app -- cannot click "Play".
Was it recently removed from Xcloud? Or just some region issue? (I am in Canada. Haven't had a problem with any other game yet.)
I remember during the development of Brutal Legend, Jack Black explained how he was a huge fan of the first Psychonauts game. They always try to get Jack Black into their games.
You'll miss playing a fucking great game.Never played the first one, if i play this i'll miss something or understand it ?
If after few minutes you think color saturation is too much then better strap your seat belt.First thing that struck me was the color saturation. Is it just me or does this game seem like the color is almost too intense? Not saying that's a bad thing, looks glorious actually, just surprisingly intense. I own a vast amount of PS4 games and Psy2's color saturation blazes compared to all the others. I go back to Psy1 (the PS2 on PS4 version) and the colors look muted in comparison.
The only other real difference I've noticed when comparing Psy2 to Psy1 is that some sounds aren't quite as punchy as they were in Psy1. Picking up figments had a real punch to them in Psy1, but sound a little weak in Psy2, for example. Maybe I can tweak the game's volume levels to fix that.....
Anyway, I'll be getting into this game more today (just played a few minutes so far) as I just finished up my playthrough of Ghost of Tsushima with the DLC last night.
And it is instant all-timer.Wait is there a jack black level?
Damn
Timeless game is timeless. You could play it in 50 years and it would still be good. You'll miss playing a fucking great game.
Also, I have no idea of why anyone would like this one and want to skip the original for any reason.
if anything it's almost uncanny how similar they are in feeling despise the 15 years separating them. Aside for the ramp up in visuals they feel almost like two halves of the the same thing.
I absolutely love insomniac but ratchet is far from game of the year. I actually can't believe the amount of places that gave it 10 out of 10. I platinumed it in one weekend and I never platinum games.Of those, Returnal and R&C are the only ones I think are really gonna be in that conversation. Ascent is like a 7/10 game and everything else is predictable sequel fodder, not the kind of stuff that is going to get GOTY buzz.
Thanks. Never heard of it but will check it out.Maybe also play or watch a let's play of Rhombus of Ruin. It's only about two hours long and bridges the two.
You can return to the levels later.Fucking annoying leaving a level with like 107/108 figments. How the fuck am I meant to find that later on if I missed it. Oh well, not 100% here either.
You can return to the levels later.
I mean if I'm placing bets, the 5 nominees at the the VGAs this year are probably gonna be Returnal, Psychonauts 2, It Takes Two, and R&C, and Deathloop.I absolutely love insomniac but ratchet is far from game of the year. I actually can't believe the amount of places that gave it 10 out of 10. I platinumed it in one weekend and I never platinum games.
It's completely paint by numbers ratchet and even a few months later completely forgettable.
Returnal though.....returnal....now we are talking but I also stand by it takes two and resident evil 8.
Holy shit I thought I was in the game of the year so far thread but I'm in the Psychonauts 2 thread haha.
Back on track, can't wait to play this.
