I think some maps favor the spawn campers because of the way cover is set up. Like on Bartlett the trees let defenders see the attackers lower halves while covering the windows from attackers. The plane also has similar problems. Everyone is single file so if the lead guy isn't paying attention, the whole row is going to get mowed down.

Plane is perfect for Glaz. Tbh, at least person should just stand behind others and cover the windows while they make their move inside.
 
Playing the TTS and I don't know if Ill ever get used to PC controls.

Sure, the aiming is much nicer, but juggling between toggling/untoggling/holding X, E, Q, W, A, D, S, V, G....

It's so damn hard.

Maybe I need to invest in a mouse.

I can probably move G to scroll wheel up, but Im constantly struggling to ADS and untangle lean.


Wonder how cheap a gaming mouse goes that at least has additional side buttons so that I can bind Gadget 2, leaning, melee and spotting.

talking about real life, honestly there isn't a soldier that won't be wearing atleast some headgear. Be it a hat/cap or a helmet, so hair colour doesn't matter. Military is stingy with tattoos and hair colour because of their archaic laws regarding discipline and all but it should not be a factor at all.

Definitely going for that military waifu factor. Wonder if they'll have that tank top uniform..probably not.
Also the ingame model will not look even remotely as muscular (see Valkyrie)

Quite common these days and it's super frustrating in a game like this where the advantage of KB/M is immense.

It ruins ranked play, thought many factors do that. From having to play with squeaking sounding kids or people just leaving the matches.

4th FUCKING match in a row where someone on our team just ups and leaves for no reason. I just don't get it. What is up with Siege and leavers? Doesn't happen in League, hasn't happened to me in Overwatch recently.

And the game does NOTHING if someone leaves like Overwatch does.

It's so dumb!
 
I had a few ideas for ops and see what you think

people love to peek and while cams are nice why not something that lets you see around corners that is an attachment for a gun, a screen, yes. so it's similar to val that she has cams but you don't have to change anything to actually see. It sounds powerful but isn't too hard to nerf, for the player to be using it will have to attach a cam on a wall that can also be a little more easily retracted than vals but not too easily. It can be shot of course but the main catch is that is sends a laser beam of light that is decently seen by the attackers and also needs to be a straight shot for it to work, so anything such as a wall will cut it by interference.

of course the idea would need work and testing but it would seem like the ability I always want while playing.

im tempted to buy some stuff(Frost ProLeague, Ash engineer kit, among other things)

But im wondering when this next update is out will stuff like new headgear, uniforms, etc likely be in it or does that stuff trickle in later?

Who knows, the release of cosmetics is usually a drip feed but occasionally—and I by occasionally, I mean a few times—a significant amount has been released at once. I wouldn't count on it.

The new ops will come with some kind of exclusive headgear and uniforms for season pass holders, and there will be the seasonal (shitty) headgear, of course.

If you want Frost's Pro League set, I'd get it ASAP. Those are limited time, after all. It could be gone with the arrival of S3.

Thanks, only reason I hesitated was being close to the next update I didn't want to buy something for my main and suddenly within a week an Elite as well as 2-3 variants hit at once.
Kinda happened with Ash when I caved on the Green uniform and afterward the camo and engineer kit showed up.

Didn't even notice she had one till I saw someone using it the other day.

Yeah I've been seing this more and more. Also drop shotting. FUCK drop shotting. Its crazy how Ubi haven't even done anything to it. How does it make sense you you allow players to drop the floor at the drop of the button and experience no change to aim/recoil? I don't see anything wrong with being able to jump the floor quickly (for cover) but to have no aim penalty is crazy.

Yea they should make it so that when you go prone from standing you lose ADS, very simple fix. Same for when people move while prone but this is a smaller issue.
 
I just report suspected mouse users. Probably does nothing but fuck em. There's a couple things that could be easily fixed like dropshotting. It's obvious you shouldn't be able to maintain good aim while diving to the floor.

I just keep getting killed by fuckin Rube Goldberg headshots where someone is spraying and a bullet casing hits a lever that releases a soccer ball that knocks over some dominoes which hit the shooter's foot and his aim jerks up into my head. Especially those headshots you get when you're not ADS with a shield. It happens too many times and it just feels bad when I get them. Funny, but not good.

Tbf the random headshots, like the non ADS shield ones are not really game's problem. It's just blind luck. It's makes you salty but is also funny. beside I've killed plenty of people with a stray bullet during blind wallbanging and grenade throws.

I remember I once threw this grenade from near the helicopter landing pad at this castle wall on library in Chalet, I cooked it just enough so that it explodes on contact with the wall. I didn't even know anyone was there and turns out I got a kill..lol

Edit: Screw this game. I'm doing my ******* best today, always getting MVP in my team, but I'm losing every time!

It's suppose to balance it out otherwise operators can rush or aim immediately after blowing up with not much risk (since whoever that caused the explosion is already in position to shoot and stuff by the time it blows open). It's annoying yea and I think they increased the duration the smoke persists on screen but I think it's justified, although I wouldn't mind a reduction in the time the smoke persists.

I've sulked about it and now I'm over it and ready to play again. Luckily this game came out and I would have had nothing to replace Gears on Playstation. It's a special game that makes you laugh, cry, rage, and rage some more.

They seem to crazily think the game will last until Year 10. They want 100 operators in the game.

I think by the time next gen hits, they need to launch a sequel with lighting, effects, and destruction taken to the appropriate level.

I don't see anything in that idea that seems impossible to implement in terms of tech.

It's just a laser (already exists in game) and a camera which exists in game as well. Although rendering a portion of a map, that's not in your immediate view, on a small screen would mean there is additional drawing involved. But depending on how aggressively they do frustum culling in game (I don't think it's super aggressive due to the nature of destruction in the game) it should not pose much of a performance hit. Plus they are already reducing memory footprint of their maps which should provide some performance headroom.

And letting the player fire from that angle just means they need to twist the barrel of the gun, but I think letting you peek a corner safely is already a powerful tool as is even without having the ability to shoot.

Lol at lightning, effects and destruction. They reduced everything to shit because MUH BALANCE and most people turn down effects as much as possible to see better.

We already have that with pulse and it's even called heartbeat sensor. Shooting while using it is a bit OP and why pulse doesn't have it

Heartbeat Sensor is just a visual example,
but im talking a shitty quality camera on the tip of the gun and that display can't be zoomed in on.
Also while holding the button for it you can't shoot and the feed turns off when letting go.

For example you punch a window in, stick the gun in and can then rotate the camera in any direction below the barrel.
or example the hole under a door.

I don't think its that much as you would be incredibly open while trying to use it.

I'm pretty terrible when it comes to operator ideas. Main thing I'd want to see is more defenders that can turn maps on their head in terms of how to defend them. Kinda like how Mira made a lot more bombs sites viable, or to a lesser extent how Valk/Pulse can make defending from below viable, etc.
That kinda stuff reinvigorates my love for the game. I also like any tweaks/additions that make IQ more viable. It started with adding Valkyrie. and she's only gotten more useful since but I still feel she's missing something from kit to put her on the same level as Ash.

I used to play at 90, but I'm trying out 74 and I feel that the game plays better for me

I'm not the best at aiming, but this feels like an improvement

Yeah I don't think we see a sequel until proper next gen is out. Until they don't have to support base PS4 and Xbone.

74 feels great for me. I haven't tried 90, don't think i really want to either.
Honestly the easiest way to improve IQ's gadget would be to make the scanner a Head mounted device like Jackal's visor.

Same, hope they implement it one day but with Jackal in the game I feel like they don't want their gadgets to be too similar.
 
I started using Jackal more often and his rifle is very good, but I rarely get to use his gadget.

Jackal needs a buff for his ability. He is useless as an anti-roamer operator compared to Blitz.

For one, the entire enemy team should be noted that someone is being tracked, but it shouldn't say who. This would force the entire enemy team to be paranoid.

Lighting is a very critical component missing from this game, and that can only be added with a hardware upgrade.

Having lighting and destruction is hard, but imagine having light seep into areas based on destruction, shadows, etc.

At the least, they should be able to add destroying lights, operators that use lights like floodlights or Night Vision goggles, etc.

Yeah I don't think we see a sequel until proper next gen is out. Until they don't have to support base PS4 and Xbone.

We'll probably go up to Year 6

Guessing next gen PS5 gets released 2020, so maybe a year more into next gen.

The worry is, their 100 operator plan implies they won't work on a next gen version. With Vivnendi looming over, we may never see a sequel again. Which is horrible to imagine because this is easily the best MP game for Ubi

Yeah, i'm talking more of a screen and video and one that has a nice view for the player, and not as attached, more like a hologram screen to the side of your gun

other things I'd like to see for fun is a little warthog like rc that can actually break through barriers a bit. takes a bit of damage and has more power to it than the the other drones that sort of suck. Or a flying drone obviously (and small) if we are talking about pure op and actual abilities instead of just typical drones.
