Oops, Eurogamer were the ones that said it. They must have a pretty good reason/hunch/source for suggesting September, even knowing Nintendo will not be present at TGS.

Nintendo wouldn't need to be at TGS to be able to benefit from international press being present in Japan and able to schedule interviews or visit a non-TGS location ofr a hands on demonstration.
I don't think it will be, but there's no need to be at TGS to cash in on TGSs existence.

Which will be his only leak because odds are the leaker doesn't have a job now.
So NX is now a home console that has portable aspects and is more powerful than vanilla PS4 and is VR compatible. Basically, this rumor contradicts everything we know thus far.
To be frank I don't care anymore. This thing is all over the place. As long as it has Wiimote controls they can do whatever they want next.

I saw someone brought up a famous fake story from another forum, so I want to post it here for discussion. This story was written by a Japanese many years ago. It is about how Nintendo capture the handheld market against Sony's PSP by announcing the price and launch date of NDS one hour before Sony' PSP reveal conference. Sony was stunned by the sudden announcement and had to have internal meeting which delayed the conference by 17 minutes, and subsequently, Sony decided to hold off revealing the price of PSP. The story called this incident as "the empty 17 minutes".

I don't think being more correct about which rumors one believed is something to gloat about. If anyone wants to actually make the bickering worth anything, form a cash bet.
Otherwise, do the easiest thing in the world and ignore it.
Or continue to argue over something that we know will be made clear relatively shortly.

I think liking things that benefit you in theory and dismissing or attacking things that may waver your belief in that theory is basic human nature.

I don't think they have the nerve to do anything like that. I think it's more likely they show animal crossing at Apples event than that. I find the likely hood of showing up at Apple's event slim, so taking Sony on is extremely unlikely. We don't live in that world anymore.
All these companies are trying to survive the great video game market crash that we have been in for about five years. The videogame industry is just mimicking the movie industry. Less overall movies, but existing movies are mostly bigger budget. A few flops can be catastrophic to that movie or game studio.

This is the first mock up that actually looks like it could be comfortable to use and plausible(offset stick and button placment and good amount of grip). Though if rumors are to be believed, not sure how well each piece would work as motion controllers. And no split dpad or right thumbstick under face buttons(which is needed for 2 player), but whatever. I could see it possibly looking close to this.
Edit: Could something like this be the new 'PSP like device'?
The thing is that if we think of it as a handheld the rumoured specs are fantastic, much better than we could hope for from Nintendo. 14nm Pascal tegra? It doesnt get any better than that for a portable gaming device.

Having played NSMB2, Hyrule Warriors Legends, Super Mario 3D Land, Smash 3DS, Monhun 4U and Generations, Mario Kart 7 etc. along with all of their Wii U counterparts, I'm convinced that this is the best way forward.
I rarely play games on a big screen nowadays. The handheld convenience is way too strong even inside the home (Wii U gets a ton of playtime because of this). When I play on a big screen, it's on my PC because nothing else can compete and nothing else will ever be able to compete.
While the freedom of the Wii U gamepad in the home is glorious, you eventually run into range issues or even the bother of not being able to just take the thing with you, which is where the 3DS steals quite a bit of playtime for me, even for games that I have on Wii U.
If NX is what we've been told it is, then it's like it was made specifically for me.
No need to spoil anything.. All eyes will be on Apple and the new iPhone 7 and new Apple Watch...
