CNN isn't going to go quietly on this, nor should they, what Trump did at that 'press conference' was absurdly unprofessional. I was watching it live with a non-Clinton voter and she couldn't believe what she was watching. It was absurd, he just came across as so exceptionally unprofessional much less presidential. You wonder why the alt-right and Trump's brigade of buffoonery has so much traction on the internet, it's because they employ the exact same tactics as you're seeing here and react exactly as Mully is describing when it's used in kind against them. You wonder how people can swallow all the post-truth bullshit, well it's in large part because people love dogpiling on the internet. Don't agree with someone? Yell at them as a group until they're silenced, all the while reinforcing your own opinions and biases.
The problem is it doesn't matter if you're right. It's still toxic behavior that breeds stubbornness and helps people become indoctrinated in whatever ideology is accepted in that particular corner of the internet. That would be counterproductive for them. It would lead to Trump being removed from office and Pence installed, who is not their patsy and what's more the GOP would have to be staunchly anti-Russian automatically.
They want their stooge in charge in the US.
CNN used them both for ratings, especially Trump. Now, they find it will help their ratings even more by attacking Trump. I don't believe this is all some sort of moment of clarity from the threat of the end of the freedom of press. CNN knows this brings ratings so they'll attack.
Russia has more to gain from 4-8 years of a Trump presidency than they do from a brief period of total chaos. I can't see that happening.
When truth and ratings collide, magic can happen.

You cannot expect them to understand over night. It's taken me six months to convince some of my work buddies that the ACA was a law that helped tens of millions, which is likely the reason they also have cheaper healthcare than the previous option (albeit a less conspicuous one).
Six months, to wittle that stubbornness and ignorance based on propaganda that was used dehumanize people, but it's worth it because they also learn about other people and become to understand their supposed liberal enemy.
We cannot engage in the same dehumanizing tactic no matter how evil and ignorant they may be. There is a time to fight, but in our way; a way that does not include turning warped people into monsters.

Unfortunately, yeah, that seems to be the case. Maybe a mixture of that and true for talking down their reporting like that. Its absolutely elevating things though. This is amazing to witness.
Really? Even if it it's all true (which I doubt) I don't see how anything will be confirmed in the short-term. The FSB is hardly going to release anything if they have it.

Then again, after all this shit comes out and everyone's analyzing his moves, do you really think Trump can do all that much to benefit Russia? Maybe it's better just to blow off the nukes and completely destabilize America like that. I mean if Trump goes down we don't just go back to normalcy after that.

I have learned this from some of my friends from HS. I grew up in a small town. Some of them have bought into some stupid shit.
You can't just get mad at them and shut them down and discount any of their ideas/information outright. then they do the same to you, even though their information is bad and they will continue being ignorant.
You have to sort of really dig in with them and work at where they are coming from and why they believe that, and how it doesn't make sense for them to believe that for their own self interests. You have to take some time to unravel the ignorance. If you just shout at them or make fun of them it just isolates them further into their shitty bubble.
