The reaction to #ZackSnydersJusticeLeague & calls for continuation was very positive (2.2 trillion possible reach)
That was until WB execs attempted to torpedo their most valuable IP & disregard their most engaged fanbase with the latest interview:

This is probably the biggest problem to get the SnyderVerse back. Some exec need to get out or maybe WB will not be involved at all (HBO replacing them)
He’s been publicly dragging the entire company through the mud which WarnerMedia themselves are now having to publicly respond too.

There are millions of whiny 5-year olds on Earth, and I AM THEIR KING.
The hype is getting to me. I was going to watch it some day, but now I just can’t wait until I have the time. Four hours uninterrupted don’t come easy.

The Snyderverse is alive and well for at least another couple of years.

Flash, Shazam 2, Black Atom, The Suicide Squad - those are all "Snyderverse" films. IF those are successful at the box office I can see Warner changing their mind and that AT&T dude pressuring them. But that's a big if.

Is 1.5 million enough to get their notice?

It's only 22 million in box office receipts or so.
I think the takeaway here is that there is massive grassroots support for a Zack Snyder's Justice League 2 and, despite WB studios making every wrong decision possible, they've been gifted a second chance and have the potential to turn the DCEU into something on par with the MCU.

The biggest problem here is the pandemic, because the future of movie theaters isn't looking great. Even if people start going to the theaters again, how long would it take to go back to the days of packed theaters, sold out tickets, and $500m+ opening weekends? Then, you add to the fact that MoS, BvS, and Josstice League did disappointing (but not flop) numbers at the box office, and then you gotta ask yourselves, if they throw $200-250 million at Zack Snyder to make Justice League 2, what's the guarantee they'll make their money back and start turning in a profit?

Clearly the support for Justice League 2&3 is there, and 1.5m tweets to #RestoreTheSnyderverse in such a short about of time, is nothing to sneeze at. But this would be a really big gamble on the studio's part. Such a gamble that it would cross into stupid territory.

I want to see the other two movies, but this would take a miracle.

I hope they don’t try be the MCU but instead continue down the path that Joker set.

The new batman looks like it will keep the gritty realism aspect of it.

Even when they get a hit its messed up lol.
Mismanaged at every turn. WB's handling of the DC is the very definition of throwing shit at the wall until something sticks.

I really like the MCU, but I also burn with envy and hate Marvel fans for how absolutely lucky they got with Kevin Feige. Imagine a guy like that for WB/DC. This universe is way too rich with amazing stories and characters for it to go to waste like this.

Well, apparently JJ Abrams is the DCEU’s Kevin Feige now. Things will be great!

Seems TheSnyderVerse is really Batman V Superman love triangle

Darkseid, motherboxes and anti-life are just support characters.

I can live with that

Like I said in the other thread, all I want to see in the Snyderverse is that Knightmare + Injustice movie they've been teasing since BvS, and now recently with the epilogue to ZSJL.

But if it doesn't happen, then I guess I can just watch Apokalips War again (which is as close as we'll get for now).

I see no support from the main actors when they did in the past, pretty sure WB put a gag order on them.

If you're not gonna restore the Snyderverse at least take Wonderwoman off Patty Jenkins, Jesus she completely fucking destroyed the character in that abomination WW84, let Snyder make a standalone one
Jenkins seems like a fine director, but she needs to stay out of the writer's room. She's the inverse of George Lucas.

Snyder cut only got around half that and that was enough to get them to do the snyder cut. this is far bigger. more than #avengersendgame retweets. we all know end game didnt make just 22 million dollars.

Justice League is more than just snyder cut fans. Aquaman and Wonder Woman both crossed the billion dollar mark AFTER Justice League flopped with $650 million. People like these characters. People like the cast. They like the direction.

It's funny to me that Suicide Squad got a sequel but Justice League didnt. Suicide Squad was also butchered by WB, but if they can recognize that they fucked up the first time and greenlight a sequel then surely they can do that with Justice League 2. An IP that is far more popular than Suicide Squad will ever be.

I LOVED the first star trek reboot. i thought it was the perfect mix of good storytelling with great visuals and some neat ideas.

I HATED Star Trek Into Darkness and just how fluff it was. There was barely any story in it. The more i watch it the more I hate it.

I have grown to dislike just how mediocre star wars was in retrospect. I think this guy can make a killer looking movie but he fundamentally misunderstands good storytelling. Star Trek was a happy accident imo. Nothing he has done since has been fulfilling to watch.

I think Snyder does the visuals justice while also at least trying to tell a story that cant be summed up in five sentences. And yet he is the only one criticized for it while other directors like JJ get a free pass from critics.

Let’s just have more DC than Hollywood is already in a super hero mindset and people enjoy the justice league if done right like the Snyder cut

Just finished watching it over 3 sessions and it was fantastic. Why would they butcher this in an attempt to make it more like Avengers? The epic and operatic tone and style fits DC very well. Just be your own thing instead of a MCU ripoff!

I hope they revisit these characters again soon

Listen, I wanted to hate the Snyder cut as much as possible since I hated the theatrical cut of JL and I remember BvS being boring at some points but still having it's good parts, but I sat down and watched this 4h long movie and I would be devastated if they don't let him finish this shit now, it was an actually good movie :D

Over 1 million people really love average movies by an average director

Shows how bad the film industry really is, if they're begging
for znyder to save the day

So I go back to my original statement, millions of people begging for average films.

We've come full circle
Yes and no. Comic book fans are begging for average films. You specifically said the "film industry", implying the entire industry and filmgoers alike are begging for Snyder to "save the day". That's why I took umbrage with the way you phrased it.
