.. and that, in a nutshell, is conservatism for you. Talk about reducing spending to get elected, and then do the exact opposite when in power.
"I'll meet you anywhere, just please don't come to my house."
He won't say what.
Some apology.
I see the Daylight Savings Time joke. The sun is down at 5:00 today."Honest as the day is long."
LOLOLOLOLOL!
Maybe in Inuvik in Janurary.
And that's about all I can stomach.
I apologize for mistakes
won't clarify
tells police to release a video they can't release
then glorifies himself
grrrrrrrr
#OccupyRobFordsDriveway
Yep.
Calling for the police to release a video he knows they probably can't because its evidence in a criminal case, while at the same time trying to claim that's he's a supporter of the police and apologizing to them.
What a true piece of shit.
Yea hes getting reelected, his base will eat this up like the misguided fools they are.
He won't beat Chow. It's hard to believe but anybody-but-Ford is bigger than Ford Nation. The province is also considering adding preferential ballots to the municipal elections. That would royally fuck him over.Yea hes getting reelected, his base will eat this up like the misguided fools they are.

I would put his reelection chances at 30% Depending on what happens in the next year. Don't underestimate the ignorant.
His chances of re-election are virtually zero.
Besides the fact that that he's under criminal investigation and will probably be charged with something, there's just absolutely no fucking way it will ever happen. If he's even on the ballot (a big if), the influence of the press alone will probably be enough to kill his chances.
This is why he's trash and all this drug stuff is the boiling over point for a life of dishonesty and debauchery. Or what I hoped it would be. I hoped that people would finally realize that he's all bullshit.1) He campaigned on getting everyone more subway lines. When he figured out that the money just didn't exist, this joke of a subway line was proposed and pushed through council despite a team of engineers repeatedly saying how wasteful it was and how much better served the city would be by an LRT.
2) He eliminated the extra license tax the year he blew through a budget surplus. You're kidding yourself if you don't think the raised taxes the next year didn't make up for it. It was $60 annually.
He also said he wouldn't raise taxes when he campaigned (and ended up raising them substantially).
3) He promised to outsource all of Toronto's waste collection. So far he's managed to do it in the West -- you know, despite the fact that Etobicoke was already outsourced from the start of amalgamation. The savings haven't been astounding yet, and considering the growing pains, I wouldn't say it was worth it.
4) Eliminating wasteful spending in city council was a strawman from the start. As I said earlier, in the long run the amount cut was so insignificant that it wasn't worth the time. This wasn't double-billing Conservative senators, this was people spending too much on supplies and staff. Do you know why both Fords are able to spend $0? It's because they're both multi-millionaires who inherited a fortune from their father.
He also campaigned on the promise that he'd eliminate half of the city councillors. That didn't happen.
For every campaign promise you've pointed out that he's kept, I've pointed out one he's broken. You're not looking at the big picture, you're just looking at the little things that have been marketed to you.
I doubt his base is that big, a good chunk of people who voted for him would vote for another "fiscal conservative" without the sideshow
A good portion of his base will vote for him soley because he pisses off liberals.
There is the Rob Ford base, then there is the Conservative base
I don't think Ford can win with just his personal fanclub
Well, I don't think the conservative base will ever vote for Chow. The question is who's base Stintz is going to eat up. I think it will probably be Ford's but I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't because this city's voting patterns make no sense.

Stintz won't even get 5% unless she runs a miracle campaign. Almost no one has heard of her, left wingers hate her because she is right wing to begin with, and she is the reason we're stuck with the Scarborough subway. Conservatives think she is an extremist left winger because she rides a bike. People are advertising her as someone who'll unify Toronto but I honestly think she'll do the opposite.
Tory is the only wild card. He's definitely going to lose, since that's the "Tory curse", the question is will he eat more into Chow's moderates or will he eat Ford's conservatives.
Can't believe people thought he would resign. He won't go down until cops put him in cuffs.
They might link him to Lisi's extortion charges if they have the evidence that Lisi was working under Ford's orders. What could he even be charged with at this point?

This. Also there's a second video that the chief said was revelant and even the media doesn't know what it shows.
I still don't understand Blair's decision to go forward with the existence of the video if he didn't have something to charge Ford with. There would have been enough media scrutiny on Ford with the release of the surveillance documents on Thursday. Had Ford not known the video still existed he might have acted differently and been more cocky thinking there was still proof of nothing. Hopefully the police are working on more evidence and have a charge they think might stick.
Chow and Stintz are up and ready to go I believe. I feel sorry for Tory though lol. I think Chow said she wanted to release her autobiography before the campaign starts but I guess that will have to wait.

Anyway, let's have a wholesome discussion about Ford's "fiscal conservatism".
Toronto has one of the highest unemployment rate in the province at a whopping 7.9%, which is higher than the provincial 7.3% and national 6.9%.
Let's talk about youth unemployment now. I'm sure Ford Nation would be happy to know that the city is making educated youth drive out in droves with Toronto's disastrous 43.5% youth employment rate, the second lowest in the country after St. John's. Compare that to our neighbours, Ottawa at 56%, Hamilton at 58%, Kitchener-Waterloo at 59%. The innovation boom in these cities isn't so surprising anymore. Thanks for exporting your talent Toronto .
