You know as much as I dislike Ford, it is pretty unethical for the press to ambush him at his home or his parent's home or stalk him while he's driving. If you want to talk to an elected official you should do it while he's on the job or at legislature, not corner them in their house.
Ambush? Stalking? The journalist very clearly made his presence known. Furthermore, you're talking about an elected official and public figure. That's what public service is. The unethical course of action would be to take Ford at his word, repeat his carefully constructed press releases to readers, and only hang around his office from the hours of 9 to 5.
I understand the disdain for journalists and the media, but I feel this is the one thing we were meant to do; keep elected officials accountable for their actions by showing people who they are.
