When I was a kid (like 5 or 6), we used to play a weird version of Cooties (tag except with eww gross girl germs) but instead of Cooties, we gave each other AIDS. Like "Ha ha, you have AIDS, you can't catch me!"

That was a weird time.

I just imagine it'll start to wear thin when it seems every other day is another bit on Ford. Maybe its just because there's just been such a ford overload lately.

I'm just catching up with the last couple of days of news...I just can't understand how this is even possible. How can someone, a freaking mayor of one of the biggest North American cities, be so incredibly stupid and lack any self-awareness? How can this be real life? It's just mind blowing.

And this is the aspect of this whole thing that, professionally speaking, drives me absolutely batshit insane.

Ford has always portrayed himself as this law-and-order, I-support-the-police, right-leaning guy.

And yet, in his fundamental nature, he repeatedly emphasizes this "I'm not a rat"/"I don't throw my friends under the bus" BULLSHIT

The fact that the mayor of the largest city in Canada would perpetuate "don't snitch" culture is complete bullshit and utterly antithetical to the idea of being pro-police.

Good, successful policework depends on people coming forward and speaking with us.

So, in saying that you will try to sue people who give interviews to police, and in insisting that you yourself "are not a rat", I say this:

Rob Ford, you are not a friend of the police, or in any way "pro police". Fuck you, fuck your hash-dealing brother, and fuck the horse you rode in on.

I love that people seem to think that possibly being good at your job (to clarify, he isn't) is enough to excuse you from criminal behaviour and consorting with criminals. Fuck man, maybe if I rob a few banks the cops and my friends and family won't care because I'm really good at my day job.

This is so fucking true lol. He's like sitting there, waiting, ready to turn the whole situation around the second a reporter dares to ask him about it, but they never do so he just throws it out there. Such a tryhard.

You know, the only problem with Rob Ford's meltdown is that everyone is letting Harper get away with his shitty Senate scandal.

Of course, knowing Canada, I wouldn't be surprised if Ford and Harper returned to office in their respective elections with higher numbers than before. lol
