Rob Ford: Still smoking crack. On video. Taking leave of absence.

Just got back from the CFL Eastern Final at the Rogers Centre (Oskee Wee Wee!!!) and there was a big commotion a few sections away from us part way through the game. Next thing you know, we're all watching Ford holding up a homemade Grey Cup wrapped in tin foil that a fan handed to him and he holds it up in the air while wearing his Argos jersey. It caused quite a stir during the game and there were some shouts of "Fooooooooord" and "Asssssshoooooooooole". Not once did they put him on the Jumbotron though, otherwise I'm sure there would have been a bigger reaction from the crowd.

It was a bit strange to see him with less than stellar seats though. We were in section 132 in row 24 which is right around mid-field, while Ford was seated in about the same row but near the goal line, I would guess somewhere around section 129. Not only that, but that side of the field was the Tiger-Cat side of the field where Hamilton fans made up about 80-90% of the fans, so he was literally surrounded by Ti-Cat fans! We didn't see any more commotion after that one time, so we think he just showed up to watch one quarter part way through the game and then left. I tried to get a picture with the camera on my cell phone, but it only has 4X zoom and it was hard to pick him out of the crowd after he sat back down again. So no luck with that.

Did he end up showing up at the Santa Claus parade even though he was not wanted there?

It was literally at the same time as the CFL game so that would be pretty neat.

He was filming his Sun News show for 3-4 hours, that might explain why he wasn't at the whole game

I read that he showed up right when the Argos started to unravel

Rob Ford said in Fox News interview that he wants to be Prime Minister.

The rest of Canada may be laughing now, but they won't be laughing when the Prairies and Toronto STILL vote Conservative with Rob Ford as leader.

Huh? What did I say? Did I screw up again? :(
Iceberg is only slightly above crack.

This is getting out of hand.

Listen I know it's great and all to watch a great man fall and I wont speak much to the internet's appetite for accelerating such events before all the facts are in and due-process has run its course as stated in the constitution and I'll continue to stay silent regarding these events (mind you Mayor Ford was harassed into an admission but the law has not had a final say on this matter).

The thing is, its one thing to attack just any brand but its a completely different thing to attack a nation. When you attack Iceberg, you are not attacking Mayor Ford. You are not attacking a mere brand. No; you are attacking the Great Sovereign Nation of Cananda! Enough is enough Gaf. I don't condone drinking and driving or self destructives behavior under the influence of alcohol but there's clearly a difference between endangerment and quality endangerment. Just ask any victim and they'll agree.

In closing, its not crack!

Wait a minute

The Argos have enough fans to fill a stadium?
Half of them were Ti-Cat fans. And that's not an exaggeration.

EDIT: Haha, just saw highlights of the game on TSN and they showed somebody throwing a can of beer at Ford. It looked like there was at least some beer in the can because there was a bit of a splash. Afterwards, he just held up the empty can and the expression on his face was of mild amusement mixed with a slightly perplexed and perturbed look that said "come on, guys, what did I do to deserve this?" My wife had earlier read on the internet that several people were arrested in the stands near Ford but she wasn't sure why. I'm thinking the beer can throwing incident is one explanation. And I wouldn't be surprised if some people nearer to the Mayor were shouting obscenties and other cunning linguistic phrases that likely crossed the line.

vodka is shit tho

Hudak is open to joining Wynne in giving Toronto tools to deal with Ford according to a post I saw on Twitter.......who would have thought Horvath is the one who doesn't want to do anything lol

Divvy

Canadians burned my passport
Aren't the powers they took away from Rob the ones that council bestowed upon the Mayor in the first place? How is that even illegal?

That was last week. This week they're trying to shrink his budget and basically make Norm Kelly the mayor in all things but name.

Which I should add is super shitty too because Kelly is a moronic fool.

I would bang a hot farmer!

In that case, council shouldn't be allowed to do that.

It's not about law, it's about trust. He's within the law to do many terrible things to the city as mayor, this is why he needs to be ousted[and why council removed some of his powers].
He is a compulsive liar, untrustworthy, disloyal and not of sound mind/judgement.
Dealing, smoking, boozing and whoring are only symptoms of a much more troubling reality.

Between Rob Ford saying he wants to run for Prime Minister one day and Doug Ford calling his brother the 'white Obama', I don't even know what else they can pull next to embarrass us further.

Just stop. Please...

I agree. They are making such incredible asses of themselves that they are actually eclipsing a lot of world news. It's amazing in a twisted, horrible sort of way.

If there was ever a time for someone else to do something horrible, now would be the time. Passing a horribly shitty law in some country? Making shitty corporate lawsuits that make no sense? That's totally fine - no one will notice because everyone's too busy laughing at these fuckwads.

The cops need to arrest and charge this guy with SOMETHING. I can't believe they don't have anything to charge him with. This is beyond ridiculous.

I'm assuming they're waiting until more evidence comes in then bust him with a bigger charge than if they were to arrest him now

On what grounds? That's the real question. Sure he's boorish, unethical, delusional, and a liar among other things, but there's no way the police are charging him with anything until they have hard evidence against something big. There would just be too many repercussions otherwise.

At this point, Rob Ford could hold a baby in front of him trying to block a sniper attempt and Ford Nation would still support him -- "what was he supposed to do? He saw a baby and realized it was a perfect temporary shield for him, he's more important than the baby!"
