Conveniently ignoring they can't play any "Xbox" games on it, only PC games.

It's a PC. That talk comes from how there isn't a single Xbox MS game this generation that hasn't got a PC port. Or am I wrong? Is there some True Xbox exclusive that I've missed? What's this "Xbox" game you think people care about?

And every PlayStation Sony game this generation except GT7, Demon's Souls, Astrobot and for now Death Strading 2 is ported too.
So what's the PS game you think people care about? The assumption is that everything will come, sooner or later.

This is just how it is now. No point ignoring that a PC is very close to be that one device to do it all now.

Backwards compatibility is mainly what I use my consoles for. But that's not for everyone.

There are emulators that close the gap further on old games though, but I'm not aware if the Ally is powerful enough for that. I'll certainly give it a try.

Asus and others make some premium stuff and price it accordingly. Which is issue here.

I have used their regular ROG Ally. Build quality, screen experience, controls etc is far away from regular Switch that I have.

This isn't even Xbox device, it's an Asus one, but the fact that you and the other guys in this thread (whom I've also called out) are treating this as if it's an Xbox device says everything about your mentality. Asus is considered fine. For PC parts.

There should be a space to discuss the thing regardless of your perception of negativity. It's true that it seems everything needs to go through some rosy lens or positive spin, or else. Then if someone so much as points out your own past comments, your reaction is to block everyone in it. There are many good and bad things about this, one of the bad things is that it's no longer a subsidized console it's a PC, therefore it's very expensive. And it's to be expected the brand is going to absorb a lot of shock with that change. You can't react to that with hostility.

Yup, I was all ready to buy this as I love my Ally X but I hate the screen size and given that this one has the same screen, it's a pass for me.

A bunch of my pc building friends prefer Asus / Gigabyte. Doesn't mean they wont have problems.
