These are full Vader spoilers for what he does, all I have to say is...wow, just wow, I am seriously going to lose it when I see this. Read at your own risk.=p

First Vader scene is his introduction he awakes in the Bakta tank but one does not really see much, it is very bright and focused on one of the minions. Than bright light and a silhouette and then a HUGE Vader shadow behind the henchman, than finally Vader upfront who seems to move swiftly. He gets informed that Krennic wants an audience. A brief talk between him and Krennic in which he informs Vader of the success that is the built+tested Death Star (for which he takes credit and wants to move up in ranks) and than Krennic hackles Vader about that Tarkin took control over the DS from him. Vader puts him into place with an impressive force choke and says something among the lines he (Krennic) should keep his ambitions in check or they will be his end.

The second Vader scene is actually the final scene. It is excellent and was the most emotional one for me. It is basically the direct tie in to episode 4. Vader chases down the last rebel ships (that stayed behind for the data transfer). He enters the ship kills of all rebels there, which pretty much looks exactly like this, but with more rebels: http://imgur.com/N87lc7U?r

This is all I wanted when Rogue One was announced. I can't believe it's going to happen. I mean...I just can't.

Thursday needs to be here.

The first bit seems like the part of the trailer where he's walking through the steam/smoke to Krennic and then there's a separate still shot with his hand gesturing like a choke/grab. Seems like it'd be real. Or follows what's been released in a way.
Yeah, it makes sense in a way, and since the guy showed his ticket for proof, it's most likely real.

ROGUE ONE overcomes a tough 2nd act & the most *astonishingly* bad CG character in film history to become a fun and scrappy little cash grab

Against my better judgement I read this part and...okay? Sounds like what I expected.
I'm not sure if this includes the main characters.

That Reddit poster also said this about the main characters' fates.

Big SPOILER oh man you really wanna know? Well Tarkin who controls the Death Star figures that the Rebels might succeed in whatever they are out to find on Scarif and decides to simply blow up the whole planet / area. Well they already extracted the DS plans and sent them to the rebels however they never leave the surface, really for no one on the surface there is a chance to get out, as the ground battle is on going. They see the DS beams as they sit by a shore holding each other in the arms as they fulfilled their destiny and await the DS beams impact to reach them

He's the second person I've seen say that. Seems like it messes with the canon though unless
the DS isn't firing at full capacity still

I actually seen in a short clip on a TV spot I think that
Scarif does get blown up as I see a green haze that moved trees on a beach. Also other people who saw it confirmed that as well.

That particular character seems fairly praised from a visual standpoint by everyone though.

Yeah that doesn't jive at all with the "this is a fucking BREAKTHROUGH in visual effects" narrative that I've been seeing regarding that, unless the people behind said narrative are completely farting hype at this point.

Man if this guy is real I like
Krennic's death even more than if Vader had killed him. Tarkin getting the last laugh in their rivalry by blowing him up with the Death Star superlaser since he's on Scariff is hilarious.

Lol, that would be so awesome. I did read that Krennic's
death is by Cassian, but only one guy said that so I'm not sure if that's true.

He apparently didn't like Baze's death too much. Considering how Jiang Wen said that Baze did something important after Chirrut dies, I'm wondering what's up with that, unless he just meant it's something important for the character since he overcame his cynicism.

Now I'm curious about that as well!

Because the movie isn't even out yet.

So what? It's the spoiler thread. Let's talk about how the Death Star apparently blows up yet another planet (yay! we get to see the ring of fire explosion effect! again!) and why Alderaan is no longer first.

Was getting caught part of your plan?

Hm that is canon conflicting

Rumors indicate it never blows up an entire planet. Just destroys parts. Alderaan is still technically the first planetary destruction.

So uh, does anyone actually survive in this or all they all dead meat like we figured?

If the spoilers are right, they all die.

The spoilers guy says Tarkin decides to blow up the planet/area. It could be that the whole planet doesn't blow up, as with Jedha.

Alderaan not being the first planet to go boom is a pretty big conflict in canon for Lucasfilm to not realize.

Maybe just the surface of the large part of the planet is glassed? Could also still get away with it if Tarken said "full might of the weapon" in ANH, but I'd need to check.

Also, the prequels created a bunch of conflicts with the OT already anyway (why does Obi act like he saw Ani first? why does Leia remember her real mum? why the fuck does Yoda talk like a dumbass prior to ESB?) so might as well go full HAM.

Why do we have spoiler tags in the spoiler thread? :(

Because it's
much more fun
to read a post
written like this
even though there really isn't any way
to know what's behind the spoiler tag
without
clicking it first
. ;)

...

On that note sometimes I wish GAF would drop spoiler tags, or at least replace them with collapsible spoiler quotes. Tags are more or less useless in spoiler threads, and they're even more useless in non-spoiler threads when there isn't any indication of what they're hiding.

Spoilers are binary - you're in or you're out. Otherwise people disagree on where that line is drawn. I certainly respect people who do not want to be spoiled at all, which is why I think it's best to not drop spoilers behind tags in non-spoiler threads.

I'm kind of impressed at how Disney has managed to plug every leak despite lots of people having seen premieres. Like seriously, how do we not know stuff like this yet? How is it possible?

Seems to me like the reddit guy is legit. I just had this conversation with Syriel in the other thread, who isn't talking until after the embargo lifts:

sphagnum said:
You don't have to go into detail, but if you take a look in the spoiler thread, does it seem like the reddit guy we're quoting saw the same movie that you did?

Syriel said:
I would avoid the GAF spoiler thread if you want to be surprised.

I think the idea is that any time we see the DS used in Rogue One, its a weapon test so the first time we see it used in ANH is its first official operational use, post weapon test. That works for me as far as preserving canon. How else would they know that the DS is fully operational if they didn't test it beforehand?
