Much as I love Henin the player, Henin the woman kind of reminds me of:

:lol

and her boobs, wow, it's probably because of her sports bra but they look very manly. like a bodybuilder's chest, ugh.

Ivanovic isn't hitting enough of her trademarks forehand winners
with those beautifully bronzed arms of hers. Oh my....

Are you telling me that you don't find this the hottest sight ever?

And look at this lovely pic of here when she was a child!

You could already see then she'd be a mighty fine woman.

Wait...wait...I don't. The girl in that picture is clearly Clijsters, she's barely changed. Is...is one of the other 3 a girl?

Which one is she? And is that Clijsters on the far right?? :lol
Yeah, I know, the boys in the middle look a bit like girls. I can see why you'd be confused.

Yes, that Clijsters on the right.

horrible final. women's tennis is really only enjoyable in pictures

I refer you to watch some Steffi Graf v Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario matches of the mid 90s.

I watched it back then, my mother made me

Sanchez is quite possibly the most unattractive woman of all time. and graf is german. But the tennis was more enjoyable, you're right

Is the guy middle left someone famous too? He looks so familiar, but I can't place him.
Heh, I was about to post the exact same thing. I'd say he's a Belgian tennis player too, but wouldn't know who.

Rochus?

I've had enough of tennis players fist-pumping if they win a point. Ok, you can do it if you've just won an amazing rally or hit an astounding winner, but not if because your opponent hit a double fault.

That's actually been the knock about Henin over the years; that she does that when her opponent makes an unforced error. Bad sportsmanship IMO.

That's quite the fix. Almost a whole new sentence, one might say.

This might be the worst tennis final I've ever seen, and given that I fancy Ivanovic and Henin is my favourite women's player that's quite an achievement.

I can never get into women's sports. Especially when even the "hottest" female athletes are seldom actually hot. I just see no point. It's like men's sport, but inferior.

Anyway, how did Sampras do this year?

:lol Not bad if you're talking about the Seniors Tour, the dude retired about 5 years ago.

Ugh, now we have tennis thread trolls.

Oh, that explains why it seemed like I haven't read about him in a while when it comes to these tournaments. I could have sworn I read something about an exhibition match with him against Federer.

Hey, I like Tennis. I just find women's tennis to be boring. It's 6-1, 5-2 in the final, for pity's sake.

You've got to say Henin has been completely dominant today. Ivanovic will definetely be one to watch in the coming years, remember she's only 19. Will be interesting to see how she does on grass.

Yeah, but it does not necessarily have to be like that. I remember the final in 2001 (??wtf, that long ago) between Clijsters and Capriati. Holy cow, that was fantastic.

The problem is that women only have to play 2 or 3 sets, while with men you have at least the guarantee it'll be three sets, and when we're lucky it's 5. I love marathon matches.

So Sampras is retired, but his Wikipedia says he'll do 3 exhibition games against Federer. How the hell can a retired player play against Federer without being raped? Federer let's him win or won't play seriously?

I'd post some pics from today's match, but she wasn't on the court long enough to be captured.

The French is my favorite slam, but this year hasn't been that great. There hasn't been a memorable match that I can think of. Hopefully, tomorrow will be good.

Yeah, Henin completely dominated Ivanovic. She is a great player and she deserves the win.

Tomorrow's match is going to be absolutely epic.

I really want Federer to win so he has won all four. He would have a serious claim for greatest ever and I want to be able to say I saw him. Nadal can win it next year.

the reason women's tennis is so boring is because of the 3 sets limit in so many, if not all, tournaments. appearently, women are not equal to men...

anyway, federer-nadal is what it's all about and i'll be rooting for nadal.

This isn't strictly related to the topic, but why are women seperated from men in games like darts and snooker? I mean...it makes sense in sports where stength, speed, height, weiht matter, but darts and snooker? Just let them all play together.

To keep this on topic, have the top women ever played the top men, just in an exhibition game? I'd like to see what would happen. I mean, I know what would happen, but I want to see how badly it happens.

I'd also like to know just how far down the men's rankings you'd have to go before the top women beat the men.

I'd also like to see Nadal play with his right hand for once. As it seems, he's not really left-handed, so it could be interesting. Well, he must like to use his left hand for some reason.

Left-handers are able to cut second serves better, and are tougher to play against. From a young age, his coaches basically conditioned him to play with his left hand to give him an edge.

At least I think this was the case, heard it during...last year's French, maybe?
