If this is true and they don't plan any co-op heists. This let's us form a competent timeline of sorts on what happened to the dlc. Well if you go back and watch the gameplay trailer again and read the last hands on I think it was pretty clear that the mission(s) shown were not PVP. They seemed to be advanced jobs were you could set up who would do what beforehand in an interface. So what I think happened, again assuming that it isn't still coming, is Rockstar had to make a choice. The Jobs were playable and likely very close to final but then the job spamming happened at launch and they realized that money was more important then delivering content. So they scrapped the jobs and went back to the drawing board in an effort not to ruin their micotransaction cashcow. Likely the conclusion was if they gimped the payout or the replayabilty that would only piss people off even more so instead they're making them PVP.
This honestly makes the most sense. Especially as I was wondering how they are going to push people to buy MTs if they are making a ton of money from heists. Especially since it's obvious they don't like it when something is too lucrative... and yet promising to bring something that would be very lucrative... ?
And one more thing to point out why MTs for anything that advances you in the game in any way is not something gamers should be ok with. It's not even the cost factor/greed factor, it's the it encourages developers to compromise gameplay in order to push more MT sales. I'd rather they find a way to get money that encouraged them to make gameplay as fun as possible instead.
I think the part where she brings up the time when he shagged a hooker (which was what caused her to start cheating on him), and he responds by laughing it off is meant to make her more sympathetic. They should've made it more clear. Instead, she and the family gets pushed into the background, and she just comes across as a gold-digging bitch for the majority of the story.
Which kind of proves my point, they just put token effort into it at best. It obviously wasn't that important to them to try to make her a well rounded character and she mostly serves to be the cardboard cutout of gold digging bitch/nag. If they had put some effort or had better writers they could have made her as sympathetic as the main male characters and still have her serve her purpose as a stress point in Michael's life.
It was but they have finally gotten most of that out and we are left with a fraction of the money. I'm finally to the point where I look at something I want to buy and I realize it will take more time than I want to grind it out. You can still make SOME good money but it's either luck of just playing a playlist of the same events over and over forever.
Right now I'm getting most of my money just from bounties and armored cars
edit: It really sucks for people who didn't play a ton of the game right away or anyone who joins now. I was in a lobby with 5 people running around in tanks. They were just mowing down low level players...where's the fun in that. It's going to be a problem when they put out the new versions and more people join online. I've been having fun gifting cash and weapons to noobs and cutting down tanks for fun.
Heh, as much as I bitch about the other stuff above, this is my biggest complaint with GTA V online, it's players
. I would love to find more players whose fun isn't griefing everyone weaker than them (I don't even get it, if the person is proving to be no match to you, wouldn't it get boring after a while?). I honestly think Rockstar should have let people vote people into the bad sport server or at least off the server they are on if they kill them more than three times without the other person killing them back. It means the griefers have to actually worry about payback and worry if the person is having as much fun as they are rather than have fun at the expense of someone cause it's fun to the to frustrate some one.
(and btw, As much as I am complaining here I do actually love this game, it would have been my GOTY last year if it weren't for TLOU. Doesn't mean it doesn't have its flaws though).
