And Ryse should be here on Tuesday.
Will probably be more activity when/if people gets tired of Forza, Dead Rising and Killer Instinct.

I can't tell you how many quarters I spent on a game like this or other brawlers, so if Ryse is more like an arcade brawler I'm completely fine with that.

Can anyone confirm that executions get even more gruesome and brutal as you level them up? I read a review where it talked about an execution where you hack off every limb on an enemy, and their head. Are these real? Wonder why we have not seen decapitation/multiple limb hacking.

Watching the clips in my feed combat looks like that of Assassin's Creed where timing and choice of attack and parry are what counts, so being able to read the attacks and choosing the correct move are what is important, is that how it plays?

I started playing a while ago, and i can see the executions getting repetitive, but this game is not easy by any means. Absolutely love the visuals, as of the first level both Marius and his romans look the same in cutscenes as in realtime, i just zoomed in their faces. Once again... the visuals are breathtaking. I wish i could take some screencaps, but so far so good!
Can You take a video of the biggest close up to Marius face in gameplay?

me and a frind tried out some multiplayer... actually it is not half bad.
I am interested in the stry so far, just got n act three.
I can see why people would dislike the game but I like it.
just needs more weapons and maybe more exploration.
multiplayer needs more customization of powers as well
instead of just 4

After playing it for 5 minutes went back later and did some Gladiator with a friend.
We're enjoying it quite a lot, the combat is quite shallow, I think they probably did make a mistake not having a "heavy" sword attack you could combo, but I like the executions, game looks great.
We'll definitely come back to this one as a go-to game I think, something different from the likes of Fifa/Battlefield etc.

I will try to use that video edit feature in a sec. There is a part in the beginning when you have to escort Nero that you see Marius nose glow red as light passes through, i believe SSS? In gameplay not only in cutscenes. Idk if that's a taxing feature or not, but it looks really good.
Yeah, they are using SSS since Crysis 2. Ryse has the newest iteration.

Dunno, don't care. Only in chapter 4 but this is shaping up to be one of the best games I've played this year.
It looks gorgeous and it is so much fun to play. Like Batman Arkham but in Rome.

I may wind up being wrong about this, but I think it'll be a while before we see a Ryse demo and when/if we do, it'll be short. My buddy got his Xbone tonight and was over there playing it. It's surprisingly pretty given the moving target that dev's had with the unidriver but it has all the depth of a tea cup.
If I had an Xbone, I'd definitely rent the game if only to look at some really pretty visuals for a few hours but it's very difficult to rationalize paying $60 for this game after you've played it. If I was Crytek, I wouldn't want people to see very much of it as a demo would probably scare off more buyers than attract them.

In a number of games, cutscenes utilize the same assets as the real-time sequences. It's just that they get enhanced via the additional use of advanced graphical features...
I was watching a live stream earlier today where they couldn't get a MP game going because there wasn't anyone playing. Honestly, regardless of reviews, I'd expect more people to be playing this game because it looks appealing to people who aren't super on top of all the coverage.

Whilst these look seriously impressive, they still don't match the level of fidelity seen in some of the cut scene screenshots such as this one.
