Too bad Freckle Bitches isn't in this one, I'm sure they could've found a way to make a creative mission linking it with Kinzie.

I kinda agree with Pimbaa, I have really big troubles with game cars controlling worse than arcade racer on my Android. It breaks experience right away. Oh, and I think they went overboard with it just for the sake of it. Not feeling it, but enjoying it enough to play it through.
Yeah, the driving is garbage. But I loved GTA IV's driving and always hear people complain about that so what do I know.

Any suggestions on which gender and voice to pick for the most fitting and funniest dialogue?
For a male character, I'd say the first choice. Troy Baker does a great job.

No, but I would expect it to improve somewhat. It's not even good by arcade racing standards. And I'm not comparing to it to just GTAIV here, almost every other open world game with vehicles controls better both this gen and last. The cars feel like weightless toys, and the wheels look like they are floating over the road (wheels don't match up to the road, especially noticeable when you reverse and turn at the same time). The game also lines you up to the road when you power slide into a turn. There is no challenge to the driving at all, it's like the game is driving for you. And the lack of traffic in the game just makes it even easier. It wouldn't be so bad if it was obvious that driving was far down on their list of priorities, but the game has such extensive car upgrades it almost seems like a waste.

It's on autopilot alright, to the point where driving is zero challenge in SR3. Cars feel like they are on rails. And the tires don't even match the road (looks like their are gliding everything). This game has the worst driving I've played in any open world game. Driving a car in GTAIV feels like well driving a car. Cars have weight, don't automatically align with the road when you drift into turns, and each car has very different driving characteristics. It's fun because it is an actual challenge, like driving in any decent racing sim. Also, in regards to combat, GTAIV automatically wins for having something basic like being able to go into cover (and shoot from there). Combat in SR3 is fucking archaic.

Just shut the fuck up you whiny little shi-

I share your opinion. I love the driving in GTA4 (it's pretty much the only thing I love about the game) but I think the arcade style 'powerslide everywhere' handling in SR3 works great for the style of the game.

I'm also getting awesome at lining up huge powerslides through fast moving traffic. So much fun.

i think the handling works fine for sr3. it's supposed to be easy and arcadey, so you can focus on other shit. like the mayhem.

i also say this as someone who thinks the gtaiv car handling is one of the best things about the game.

Oh, nevermind, Gravijah and SmokyDave already brought The Truth (tm)to this thread.

SR3 driving feels AWESOME, and I say that as a sim fan and someone that loves/does track racing. Why? Powersliding. SO MUCH FUN.

Especially hilarious in FWD cars where for some reason they oversteer like crazy. Love the driving in this game.

I think they'll go with the ending where you
save Shaundi. I don't think it makes sense to go after the muscle of the man you were trying to kill when the whole point of getting revenge on the Syndicate was for Gat. It would also leave both of the villains open for later games.

whatever you choose, after you get the final mission done, you could get to replay it and choosing the second option, but replaying the mission only works for the final mission, and only once you get to replay it

I think they could plausibly go either way, depending on whether they want to emphasise the loyal aspect or the psychotic aspect of the protagonist.

I'm kind of jealous. I have no SR swag. =/
I think it was exclusive to EB in Australia and that's it. SR jersey, bullet-shaped USB, "pizza box", a Saints "notebook" and the game box with the plastic gun mold thing. I was SO hyped for it.

Funnily enough, wasn't as hyped for this one. Perhaps it was because I was getting it via DD it was just another game to add to my Steam list.

i was browsing around youtube and saw something with the SR3 commercial, which was pretty funny. and then they had this as a link on that page:

I didn't know people weren't powersliding. It's the first thing I did when driving and it's what I do everytime. It's the proper way to drive and turn.

Hey Volition.

I will totally buy some DLC outfits. Just hook that shit up to my veins.

Also an ass-slider. 'Cause a boob-slider just isn't enough.

81% complete. Trying to figure out how I want to look.

The costume dlc has to contain a ton of them not just 10 reskinned shirts, 3 weird looking hair models that I still won't use, and a few odd pants with one that looks interesting. I want to recolor the decker uniform. Seems to be possible somehow, I had it pink, black, green, and blue before. Seemed like a glitch though. Like if I had it on then bought something (glasses for example) then changed the color of the glasses to black, the neon stripes would be black on the uniform.

A few more mods are out. I wonder if these noritey mods will effect steam. I don't really care about achievements, but don't want to be locked out of co op.

I ported over the Gentlemen of the Row changes to notoriety over to SR3. For now it's just the star/shield system, but I'll see how well porting over the actual spawns works too.

notoriety.xtbl - Changelist
- Carjacking gives much less notoriety.
- Civilian assault gives less notoriety.
- Shooting civilians can only bring you to a max of 2 notoriety.
- Killing civilians can bring you to 3 instead of 2 in vanilla.
- Assaulting a gang member or police can only bring you to a max of 1 star.
- Killing a gang member gives twice as much notoriety.
- Shooting a gang member/police gives much more notoriety, but can only get you to 2 stars.
- Max of 1 notoriety for "car assault".

They did switch it from SR2, and without it driving really IS terrible. I actually sort of wonder how many complaints are from people not power sliding everywhere, it would explain it.

So erhm, I'm only 2 missions in ( finished the intro mission and the airplane mission ), does it keep this level of crazy? Because this is one of the best game I've ever played and if it keeps this up I don't know what to do.

Compared to some of the later missions, the early missions will seem tame. ;)

At a point they will put you into the "Introduction of side activities" mode, then ramp up the crazy again. I think the next 2 missions will be interesting but not on the opening level, then after the introductions/tutorials they will start to ramp up again. Very crazy stuff, though I don't know where I am in the story. Still have a way to go if I can focus on doing it rather than messing around.

Gotta love free money. My second encounter with him. I'm glad he respawns. This time he was unlucky. He was right outside Z's pimp crib and I was fresh out of the garage with my military grade bulldog. He did have a rocket launcher this time though.

You have to slog it through all the activity introductions at first, but my jaw dropped plenty of times afterwards. "crazy shit" isn't enough to describe it.

Awesome, I figured as much because as soon as I landed I got the feel of " here comes some things you gotta know/learn" and I'm all for calm pacing as well. I'm absolutely ecstatic over the fact that I jumped in on this game.

Yeah, Im a bit suprized you cant edit the ass size seperately, considering the themes and atmosphere of the Saints row universe.
I set my females with the marker at the base of the triangle (o% muscle) and a little to the left, but almost in the middle.
Getting a nice ass, whilst retaining a small waiste, on the female characters can be tough.

Would be down if they do it up big time rather than new shirts. Like, let me look like Darksiders characters. Or get Space Marine power armor

I wish the boob slider was a bit more realistic. If you go much further than 50 it's like a porn stars botched boob job. Push them closer together or something! I'd shutter what a 100% ass would look like. Though, boobs are hardly a game breaking issue.

I messed with this game for about an hour. Made a girl character with blue Chinese dragon lady style hair and the voice of a zombie who likes to breakdance and tell you to suck her dick. Glorious stuff.

After some boring "Hey, try this subactivity" missions the game goes stellar.
Also, I think the canon ending is
the "Killbane" one. The other one seemed... a bit rushed, so to say.
Still, the other one is the ending I would choose. How can you not save Shaundi with that music?

Just got the game, this is one of the most OTT western games this generation, I'm loving it so far.

I have one question, is it recommended that I do certain things such as challenges etc before certain mission? As sometimes you are unable to continue doing it for whatever story reasons such as not being able get back to a location or a character dies etc in these type of games.

Thank you for answering!

Wow that game finishes strong, my face hurts from grinning when playing. Loved it and the music for the last couple of missions!

Can't see how they can top it, amazing!

Anyone made a cool blanka character :D? Seems like it would be rather easy to do.

Okay, two questions that I need answering.

1. I just redeemed my online pass. Where can I get the free SR2 from?

2. This is the most frustrating part of the whole thing. I can't link my PSN account on the saintsrow.com website. There's a whole thread with 80+ replies in the forums on the website, but there seems to be no support from the people in charge. I used inspect element on the PSN link button with Chrome and there's a line of code that disables it under certain conditions. I don't know enough Javascript to know what that condition is.
SOLVED: Worked with Firefox

Im playing zombie mode again and I have Kinzie as my backup. Then I call in Josh, just for something to do, and Kinzie starts rambling on about how big a Nyteblade fan she is and what her favorite episode was. lol
I cant believe followers actually have conversations with each other. This is the first time Ive had two backup characters at once. There are probably other interactions between other characters too. Awesome
I hope Volition add some kind of zombie DLC, like rescuing survivors or having super tough zobie brutes roaming the streets or even vampire roller-bladers using the Decker specialist skin (remember Fright night?).
Zombie mode is pretty cool and really has the potential to be awesome IMO.

Decided to take the plunge on this after perusing this thread. Needed some openworld mayhem. I've never played any of the other Saints Rows though. Also, got the invincible dlc, what is it?

What I personally ran into trouble with was the taunt 50 gang member challenge. It's very difficult to do when you've wiped out all the other gangs, not impossible but difficult.

I just finished the game, fucking amazing. Just totally balls out crazy.

I wonder what ending is canon though.

As did I, and I was thinking the exact same thing.

WARNING: END-GAME SPOILERS

While the good ending is fairly amusing, the space stuff comes off as too goofy for me to think it will be the canonized ending. On the flipside, the idea of Steelport becoming a foreign nation ruled by the Saints fits nicely with the "Saints Row 4 is going to be balls-out crazy!" hint the devs dropped. So much potential there, it's ridiculous.

There is no Community tab afaik. You just need to play while connected to PSN, afterwards go to http://www.saintsrow.com/ and create an account (or login if you already have one) and link your PSN account within your Profile.

Yeah. On Firefox the pictures show up on the uploads tab, but I can't find a way to see them in full size. With Opera, however, I can see the pictures in full size but only after I've made them public using Firefox. Meh.

Bought this new at Gamestop for 360 Tuesday.
I've been playing it every chance I had and it really is the most fun I've had with a game in a long time.
Some of it gets pretty difficult but I found myself retrying without any frustration,
especially when I was trying to beat a particularly hard Professor Genki's SERC.

I just infiltrated the STAG boat and sank it.
It is just too much fun to run around town in an indestructible pixel tank
or throw yourself into cars in the insurance fraud activity.

Up at 98% competition, going to take a break for a few days then jump back in and try finish off some of the challenges.

What a brilliant game it has been though.

the only thing i really dislike is that you'll go into your phone, start a mission. you'll have dialog, person will mention wanting to do something. you go there, custcene, blah blah.

then nothing happens. "mission" is over.
