I keep getting held up from playing this game (I haven't played it for at least a week), but when every time I do, it gets crazier and crazier, and I remember why I love it. Case and point: I just finished the
Murderbrawl
mission and got the
Apocofist
. Love it.

If you exit out of a trafficking or snatch mission, the gang will stay spawned and you can usually get to two stars.

You can also do what I did when I beat this assassination after completing everything else. Shoot the hos, then head to Zimos' carwash. Check your radar, and find a pair of red blips. The single blips tend to be cops; pairs tend to be Morningstar gang members. Grab one of the Morningstars, then kill whoever's with him. Keep holding him hostage and use your radar to locate more gang members. Eventually you'll get a sense of where they spawn, and you'll hit two stars. Destroy any gang vehicles that roll up in, but try to spin out the fights. Kill them too fast and you'll lose momentum before more arrive. After some running around getting two stars and dropping back to one, you'll get skilled at juggling kills to attract enough heat and get that self-sustaining third star. Remember to execute gang hostages before their buddies kill them in the crossfire, but always take the last enemy hostage so you can kill him between encounters if you're about to lose a star.

It's not super-easy, but it's not too hard, and it feels great when you get it right.

Just when I thought I had seen my last ridiculous weapon I got a hold of the Sonic Boom lol

btw
the freefall at the end of Air Steelport was strangely serene. Great choice of music

So, tonight I did
my first Tron lightcycle mission
.

That was followed by
riding a motorcycle while on fire
.

That was followed by
an escort mission where the escort is a tiger
.

Each time I think this game can't get anymore flamboyant, it proves me dead wrong.

I just finished the story in this game. I think it's my game of the year. My Nolan North character was amazing. I can't wait to try out some different voices.

I just need a patch to get these weird red crosses out of the Professor Genki side missions on the 360. I'm so close to 100%!

Did anyone try to run this game on an 8800GTX 752MB memory?

I got an I7 2600K , 8GB DDR3 and this crappy card. I know it's a bottleneck but I'm wondering by how much. This set up runs skyrim fine though.

Quick question that has probably been answered but google failed me...

How do I use a customized community character in my campaign? Do I need to start a new one in order to use the custom skin?

If you've put a desired character in your que from saintsrow3.com Go to Image As Designed and there should be "a download character" option.

Well, I finished it. I didn't want it to end. I was having too much fun:(

All in all I'll say it was a wild ride that I'm glad I went on. The finale seemed kind of tame compared to everything up until that point
I was hoping that the statue would explode anyway if I went for the Shaundi/Viola ending leading to a Bayonetta-esque witch time jumping between the debris to get to Kia and punching her with my Apoco-Fist or hitting her with the Sonic Boom and it'd actually say SF2 Guile Sonic Boom then the force of the impact would cause a rift in time which would allow me to go back to the top of the statue a few moments before it exploded where I could get the jump on Kia killing her moments before I arrived and having to face myself as the TRUE FINAL BOSS while I Face Myself from Persona 4 played. No matter who won the game would end and then your companions would be asking, "Then who was boss?"

Great game. I want more. Good thing I snagged the Season Pass with that THQ deal. Can't wait to see what comes up next.

Seriously, an ending featuring the time rift elements you described would've made this game an 11/10 for me, and strangely, it wouldn't have felt out of place in SR3.

I need help fellow Americans. I have a friend staying in the US right now and I'm interested in buying SR3 at BestBuy, where it's down to $35 as part of their weekly offer.

Does anyone know exactly when that sale ends on their website? I need to get in touch with my friend to know what store I should have the game delivered to before I buy it, but his hotel internet sucks so we haven't spoken in a few days and I'm afraid the sale will end anytime now.

If anyone knows more details it's much appreciated!

I hope DLC adds more event types as opposed to story-driven missions. This game needs racing. NEEDS.

Considering theres text in the game about street racing when discussing cars, hijackings and upgrades , i'd be surprised it there wasn't.

Three challenges left and i'll have my platinum. Need to basejump 6 more times, car surf for another 300 seconds and do another 12 survivals. The latter is annoying and will take me by far the longest as they seem completely random and there are times I walk round for 5-10 minutes with a phonecall.....

Question regarding the Stag Party mission and the decision regarding Birk:

If you give him to the Stag, what does it mean when you get a takeover assistance, is it just a one time percentage gain on a particular region? Also, is there any bigger fallout to this. I don't plan on repeating playthroughs so I don't want some super crippled lame result to come out of this.

I love the game to death, but I do think they missed out on having so few 'just for fun' activities. Ideally, co-op would take a little from Burnout Paradise's host event creation (races, competitions for most destructions, crashes, near misses, etc.). I loved that feature. And I'd certainly shell out 10$ for that over a mission.

Basically it
let's you automatically take over all the gang operations/activities in one small region (not a wole island). It's a no brainer to keep Birk in my opinion, you get two homies out of the deal (Josh and Night Blade).

The choice is pretty simple, percentage gain or another ally. STAG are still dicks

I just started playing this.

Question: Do I need to actively try to loot enemy weapons in order to get different weapons available to me?

I still only have 2 pistols and such available, even at the gun stores.

If the name of the weapon looks unfamiliar just pick it up. There are about 3 varieties of everything other than special weapons. Not hard to get them all.

Also upgrade the pistol all they way and get the dual wield ability. Shit is beast with the explosive rounds. Got me through the whole game

I think new weapons become available to you as you play the game, however, there are only two types of handguns in the game. At least that is how many types I had when I finished the game.

How many times do you have to do the same type of missions? I'd heard you do them once, and can do them optionally later, but I've had two mainline 'protect your homie' missions so far, and I'm not far in.

Oh man, guys. If any of you see Professor Genki walking down the street, smoke that fool.
He drops $300K. I just got crazy lucky and found 2 in a row. I AM SET FOR LIFE

I just bought this cuz it was $39.99 at eb, and it didn't have the sticker on it advertising exclusive items (Genki stuntman outfit etc) that I saw on copies at other stores....was that only for the first print run or what?

How does Co-op mode in this game work? Is it for story missions are can you co-op events too?

Also, what is whored mode exactly? I don't have xbox live gold so I can't even check it out.

My girlfriend and I did a missions and insurance fraud event together, so it looks like it's full campaign co-op. Didn't do whored, but I'm assuming it's just survival.

FYI, OnLive has a free five hour trial of the game today only. Download OnLive for free and try the game out. Five hours of free playtime -- can't beat that.

As someone who usually avoids this genre, I'm having a fucking blast with the game. This might be a buy.

Sweet mother of god, I've lost 6hours re customizing and changing my gender. This is crazy.

This is like the best parts of GTA, but somehow more fun.

Can folks with the 360 version tell me how bothersome the screen tearing is? The Digital Foundry analysis has me considering the PS3 version, but I'd prefer to buy it on the 360, but I kind of hate screen tearing.

I didn't really notice it. But then again screen tearing isn't something I generally care about.

Any deals on this game anywhere? I guess I'll pay full price, I need to check it out.

Amazon has it for $34.99. Which would make it about worth it.

Time to pull the trigger and pick this up. Even though I'll quit halfway through, I'm looking forward to the first half.

With vsync off I only noticed screen tearing once or twice. The real problem is that the framerate is still crazy bad when driving around.

I finished this yesterday morning my GOTY. I am a music person so the soundtrack to this game was just amazing. The only hard side content I completed was Genki everything else is a bit too hard but I'll keep at it. Thank you Volition this was a hell of a ride.

As the PS3 version of SR3 comes with SR2, I played a little SR2 last night, I'd played it before and thought it was crap, but as I'm loving SR3 I thought maybe I was wrong, but I wasn't, pretty awful game.

about the same as it was in the second game. i dont notice it unless actively looking.

Finished the game yesterday. The very last mission wasn't necessary - as the one before it was a fitting end. Although they should still keep the cinematics of the last mission - since it's a joke on things of sorts.

Great game, and I didn't even play co-op ( I couldn't at the time) and I hear co-op makes some things even better.

It's really interesting how Skyrim eventually just bored the shit out of me, but this game just kept on giving. Good stuff.

Make sure you do both "last missions". One (
the "Mars" mission
) is pretty bad, the other is probably the best mission in the game.
