SaltyBet's Dream Cast Casino Thread 2 - Always bet on DBZ

It's so sad because last week's tourney was amazing. So many upsets and rollercoaster rides. This one was just "can anyone get to Nail before he charges onc--nope" over and over.

The problem is every Shaker Classic before this, they definitely said they wouldn't put in OP or clearly broken characters into the rosters for the tournament series. This one slips in because of someone's mistake while making the bracket and shits in the stew and the same guys who made the ruling are all "let it rock" while the character essentially bypasses every precedent for the tournaments and makes almost every character worthless because it just can't be hit after a certain (easy) condition is met.

the worst part is now they're taking the 'it's mugen hurpadurp trolololol you're just salty' stance.

Drained the hype faster and more than Cyborg Superman.

At least we had Silversamurai to do justice then...

BTW, illuminatis in this thread, remember to suggest Sojiro & Dragon Claw vs Mai_K and Senna VP (or some combination of Sojiro v one of those three) as an exhibition match. Please and thank you from a poverty miner.

Who paid you to grab Dr. Pavel?
I'm surprised so many still bet against him towards the end. The odds were surprisingly low.

I didn't actually bet the last match because I was afraid they were gonna pull a fast one and switch it for a fixed version or something. But yeah that coulda put me over 10k.

Sure, it's Mugen, but the real problem with keeping Nail in is no fight with him in it will be interesting anymore. Everyone who saw his performance tonight will go all-in, leaving only people who missed the headlines (or noobs). And the latter audience will continue to shrink as time passes, leaving only noobs.

Meh. The real issue for me is that I look forward to these tournaments for close, hype matches and not the usual broken mess this is. This tournament was not that.

My thinking was this: everyone's seen Nail, and they know there's next to no chance for him to lose. So why bet on Nail? Your max win will probably be $1 unless you already have wads of cash. But let's say Ken or Rock figure out Nail; your payday will be huge. Therefore, $1 on not-Nail.

I lost both times, but I'm only out $2. What I didn't count on was so many people betting high on Rock--if I'd known that would happen...
