Saw someone on NYC subway playing Switch. The Switch has made it.

I randomly high five'd a girl whilst riding my bike, i was surprised she went for it tbh, but it was late at night and she was coming from town so was probably drunk.

I just saw someone playing ARMS testpunch with motion control on the bus, until they fell over and socked someone in the face. I was the one holding the Switch for them to see and also the one who got socked. ARMS has made it!

My respect and appreciation for Commish has just skyrocketed.

If I'm reading it correctly, this might be one of the (if not THE) best stealth troll thread I've ever read.

Many laughs were had (by me).

Saw one other guy playing a Switch during my train ride back from work one time. Both of us saw each other with our units, gave a nod of acknowledgement, and went back to slaying Bokoblins (at least, that's what I assume he was playing given that it was probably the only game anyone was playing). :P

Maybe you scared her? I was walking down the street when these two big lads passed me and one of them put his hand up for a high-five. Instinctively I did it because I was a bit intimidated by them and didn't want to reject their request.

Seriously though, I thought the chance of seeing a Switch on the subway was near 0. The weird thing (to me) was that she just put it into her backpack as she left the train. I'd want a carrying case for that badboy.
Which proves some people really go too far with accessories : P.
Though I'd also at least put it in some kind of carrying case at least, for the screen.
But maybe she has one of these protectors. I don't.

I play mine on the 7 and 1 train usually 4 times a week and I'm an old (handsome) fart at 44 years old.
Mostly binding of issac at this point.

Haven't been on the subway as much lately, but I saw this guy playing one within the first week. I also opened mine on the subway and was talking to these two dudes about how awesome it is.

I usually always see 3DSes and do see Vitas and PSP very so often. (more PSPs tbh)

The Dishwasher at my Job brings his everyday.

He's always playing BoTW, and the rest of the dishwashing crew play their 3DS's on break.

The other two play Vita and PSP.

I play my Switch on the subway every now and then, too. But always be aware of your surroundings. A few years ago I was almost robbed of my 3DS coming home from work. It was late, and it was my fault tbh, so just be mindful of where you are!

Saw a guy play Switch the other day in the same train, sat right next to him, saw he was playing Mario Kart, I pulled out my Switch and asked if he wants to play a round or two.

He packed his Switch in his bag, stood up and went away. Saw him sitting on the stairs when I left the train, still playing Mario Kart. :(

definitely a gaffer.

"Gaf! someone walked up to me wanting to play mario kart! what do!?!?!"

You're not going to believe it, everyone, but it's true. I was once a skeptic like the rest. There's no way the OP actually talked to a girl on a subway over a Switch. There's no way anybody is playing a Switch on the train. This NeoGAF fantasy is so played out! But then the impossible thing happened: it happened to me.

So there I was on the subway platform. I was broke. I had no family or friends. Every time I thought I had nothing more to lose, the world would take more away. I was just so tired of discovering the new meaning of rock bottom, you know? So when the train came, I resolved, I was going to jump.

I hear the F train coming and I'm like, okay, this is it. This is what you wanted. Switch didn't even launch with a Virtual Console. It's time to die. I psyched myself up, cleared my mind, and jumped.

As I flew in front of the train, I saw something through the windshield of the train car. It was a girl... playing a Nintendo Switch. It was amazing. I thought, wow, that's somebody I can talk to. We have something in common that warrants me approaching her unsolicited. Time seemed to slow down. I decided I wanted to live! Then, thwack, I'm hit by the train.

I wake up in the hospital, and you'll never believe who is there: the girl from the train. Unbelievable. She's holding my hand and says she saw my Legend of Zelda shirt and had to be there when I woke up. I'd completely forgot I was wearing it! We talk about Zelda and how we both miss traditional dungeons and Ganondorf when the doctor comes in. She tells me I'm really lucky: I only lived because the driver braked really early and was going really slow. Why did he brake really early?

You guessed it: because he was playing his Nintendo Switch. Just amazing. The driver comes into my room and apologizes. He was just stuck in that one minigolf shrine and wasn't paying attention. We all have a good laugh, holding hands, sharing stories.

The doctor, also holding my hand, says I'm going to need a lot of surgery. I have no insurance and the bills are going to ruin my life. But then he says the unthinkable: the girl on the train is going to cover all my expenses. It turns out she's a millionaire! Her dad works at Nintendo! OF COURSE!

But fate has a funny way of things. As I'm on the operating table, I see the doctor playing 1-2 Switch in the prep area. It's so hilarious! He's just milking that damn cow with one of his assistants and they're having a great time. Everybody is standing around, laughing, just loving the Switch. One of the doctors says he can't wait to get one. Another one agrees. Then a third doctor says "let's all go get Switches!" They all run out of the room and leave me alone on the operating table.

I die there, but I am at peace. Because even though I might not have made it, the Switch sure did. So next time you're hesitant to believe, remember, it happened to me! And if it happened to me, it could happen to you.

I find this far-fetched. If you'd said uncle I wouldn't have batter an eyelid. 1-2/10.

I sort of hoped nobody was going to reply to this for the lulz ^_^

UK Switch sighting here on my bus from the first week it was on sale. I was sat right behind the guy. He has a grey Switch and playing Zelda. He's still about every so often. I got a case for mine a month ago and started playing it on the same bus every so often when it's not crammed.

Almost bought it, but it's always the uncle who works at Nintendo.

EDIT: Two posts up. Ha!

Watching the UEFA final on the tv... i'm pretty sure just saw someone with a Breath of the Wild carry case on the crowd there... unfortunately it was on Madrid's side... Switch is doomed.

Go Juve!
