But yep... overall it was very disappointing

If Hemlock Grove can get three seasons. I can see Sense8 get to season 3 as well

Well, in terms of character building, with the exception of Sun, I think everyone's personal story has somewhat of a resolution by the end of the season. So if there's a second series it's likely it would be more focused on the mythology and the organization hunting them.

Episode 6:
Goddamn got me sweatin over here. That was probably the hottest scene I've ever seen in a TV show/Movie.

Oh god, the ending to episode 10 @.@ I should go to bed but I think I'm going to watch the final two episodes first.

Episode 6:

That was a great scene.

Welp. It's over for now. I want more. :(

Great first season, in my opinion. I loved every episode, and all of the eight main characters are great. Though, Riley was kinda killing my vibe at times, but she has been through some ish, so I guess it can be forgiven. The supporting cast and other recurring cast members were great too. I honestly like everything about this show. The concept, story, music, visuals, everything.

The TV series format suits the Wachowskis quite well. I hope we get as many seasons as necessary for them to tell the entire Sense8 story.

Whelp now it's over and I want more. I really hope this is received well enough to get a second season.

The reviews on Netflix seem to be mostly positive.

Why are strippers at the U.N. bad when they're great at strip clubs???
Well I'm glad I didn't stop at Episode 1, I'm currently at episode 8 and I'm loving the way the show and the character arcs are developing and growing (scenery is gorgeous too); though for the love of god, I can't stand Riley - her character just has no appeal and if feels as though she brings nothing to table, especially in regards to the Sense8 connection that they all share.

I'm looking forward to more and hoping that Season 2 is green-lit. I mean, Grace and Frankie got a renewal so it shouldn't be so hard.

Just finished it, truly my favorite Netflix show to date.

The last 3 episodes of the season were just incredible. This better get a second season.

Episode 12 spoilers

Holy shit the inflitration/rescue scene, this show has so much potential it is ridiculous. Loved how the indian girl was still crying after seeing Wolfgang kill his uncle.

Also loved the Van Damn drift so the painted Van Damme kicks the motorcycle guy, so fucking perfect.

Show is a bit slow at first and, personally, I think some of the graphic nudity is going to limit its audience.

That said, it really steps it up the last third of the show. I'm a sucker for the concepts they are dealing with and I really dig the diversity of location and cast.

I'm hopeful that season 2 will get out of its birthing pains and really blossom like the last few episodes.

I saw a commercial for this and my immediate thought was "they're making a Killer7 show?"

It's probably nothing like Killer7 is it

Finished the second episode:

I know, right?

Anyway, had time for a few more episodes last night. I think I'm up to episode 6. I'm still liking it a lot, maybe more so, but the problems that I've been able to ignore up until now are starting to stack up a bit. They aren't new issues (dialogue, direction, character dissonance to events), but I'm recognizing them more and more.

I'm not really sure why people are down on Nomi's actress. I feel like she does great? I don't know, maybe I'm missing it, but to me -- considering the material -- I think she has good delivery.

Like others in the thread, I really find the whole show kind of endearing despite its missteps. There's something about the characters that just fits, even when everything else doesn't, and it's just really easy to watch and enjoy. I'm ready for some answers to longer standing questions posed, though, and I feel like I'm 'ahead' of the characters in understanding what is going on so I'm a tad worried I might get bored. Hopefully there's a twist or two thrown in to keep things interesting for me.

Yeah, even I have to admit that there's a LOT of nudity. But I'm not a terribly prudish person, so I'm mostly OK with that. Still, it's a shock to see that much penis when watching television, even if it is on Netflix. For a little moment there, I thought they were an erection away from softcore pornography. But damn, Lito is so hot that I don't even care.

Definitely a scene you wouldn't see anywhere else, given the context.

It really warmed on me, but even I have to admit it was a slow start. It really feels like it's building to something amazing, though.

And I honestly really enjoyed the humour that was interjected into it, it was well done and well timed to break the tension in the right places. I was worried that, as a Wachowskis project, it would take itself much too seriously or that the humour would fall flat. But I'm glad to say that I was wrong to think so.

Overall, I want more of this, too.

I think her scenes are pretty great in certain spots but weaker in others. It seems to depend on which character she's with or talking to in that moment and what the topic is. And not to disparage Laverne Cox's Sophia on OITNB or anything, but I find Nomi to just have a lot more going on and therefore a lot more engaging, so I feel like this is the best-written trans character on television, which should come as no surprise with Lana Wachowski on the writing crew. Having a trans woman writing a trans woman for television is a huge thing and it works really well for me.

She's important. Just wait. She's also a total Icelandic badass in episode 12.

I'm not normally one to care about the nudity/sex but there are some scenes in this show that feel like they go on too long just because they can. It just makes it a hard show to recommend to others. Minimizing it a bit could have made it a lot more friendly to mass audiences.

And dear lord what a beautiful show. And the action sequences are amazing. The coreagrapher that did the Game of Thrones Dorne scenes could stand to learn a lesson.

Currently episode 8, only see 2 frontal nudity so far in episode 5&6

and yes Lito is so freaking hot and all my senses gone crazy

Just finished Episode Five and I think it's my favorite one yet. The plot didn't advance at all but it's by far the most jaw-droppingly gorgeous hour so far, one of the most visually stunning episodes of a TV show I've seen In a long time.

The wedding, the swimming pool, Sun's walk through Seoul and Nairobi, Will's phone call with Nomi's mother. Beautiful stuff. Oh, and Lito's action scene was hilarious.

I think I'm falling for this show. It's just so damned likable.

Watching extras look at the camera who have no idea what's going on. Filming it Raw

Episode 2
Yo Bollywood musical

Episode 3
What do you do when you see the eyes of Van Dam coming at you LoL

It feels like Lana Wachowki's personal view is being heavy handed in this show. San Francisco and Mexico too similar
The Africa and Mexico scenes would have been good contrast

RE: Lito (Episode 10/11)

One thing I'd like to mention, I was so glad they included a scene of Lito apologizing to the bartender he cussed out. I was even thinking before that scene occurred that I really hope they address it, because it bothered me. (As I'm sure it was intended to do so.) I wasn't so keen that Lito kissed him (though as evident with Daniela, I don't think Hernando minds Lito kissing someone else when it's obviously not done out of love), or that he left drunk to go drive to save Daniela, but I was happy that it wasn't just left hanging.

One episode in.... I like the premise and the cold open was great but.... yeah....

Not feeling it.

Although the concept of the actor not remember his lines because he's jumping brains was great.

The first episode is generally regarded as the worst. I'd highly recommend watching more before deciding if it's for you or not.

I'm giving it three episodes.

I can't fucking deal with the typical Wachowski "This is so cool" high school shitwriting.
Three more? :D (Because episode 4 is when it noticeably starts to improve IMO, and every episode after keeps getting better and better.)

Anyway, hope it clicks with you.

Episodes 10/11 -
Both of these episodes were really strong. Lots of great scenes of the sensates coming together and helping each other. The Van Damme fight was fantastic and same with Lito/Wolfgang working together with both of their problems. That freaking RPG haha. Poor Sun though. Her Brother is a dick. At least she had an opportunity to vent out some of that anger and what a fight.
The ending for episode 10 was beautiful, though much more graphic than I was expecting haha.

Seems like I'm in the minority here but nope, can't do it. I watched ep 4 since that was when people told me I would be sold and it didn't change anything. The dialogue is ridiculously forced and there's no payoff to me putting me up with that so I'm out. Sorry Wachowski's this is the last piece of shit I'm willing to give a chance, your The Matrix credits have officially expired.

Totally with you and I gave it 4 eps and it didn't improve. I thought I was used to shit dialogue but apparently I still have some sensitivity.

Just finished episode 2 and it was better than the first I'll say.

Seeing Cypher from the Matrix in this is pretty awesome.

Episode 2 is.... it's okay. Do they find out what is going on or is all season like this?
*Vague Spoilers*

They don't learn everything, but they certainly become a lot more comfortable with it, and start using their powers intentionally. It's one of the best aspects of the show as it progresses.

On episode 7 now and I've got to say I'm loving the series now. First episode I was kinda edgy because of how disjointed everything felt but now I feel like the show as gotten into its groove and has been a join to watch since the end of 2.

My biggest surprise in the show is well, how much hard fucking there is.

Oh and Lito's boyfriend...uhh...that guy is really good looking. I'm not one to find other guys all that attractive but damn god damn.

Not really a spoiler but
yes, mostly implied by virtue of them being linked. You as the viewer will get it.

(a bit more indepth)
If you're expecting an episode with all them discussing and concretely coming to terms with it, that doesn't happen. It happens to one person but It's just kinda accepted by everyone and they roll with it in times of need. Both emotional crises and life threatening ones.

I really kinda hope that she gets her proper vengeance there, her brother is a revolting man and I feel bad that she decided to go to jail because her mother didn't know what a bell-end she gave birth to when she made her daughter promise to take care of him.

I really hope he dies and/or suffers and she eventually gets exonerated. Not necessarily in that order, though.

so is it good good or is it fun to watch guilty pleasure good

It's not trashy (for the most part) if that's what you mean. The show has significant problems, ones that are hard to enjoy or laugh at, but it sorta lives up to the potential of premise despite that.

Took 3 episodes to get hooked but now I can't stop, watched 4 hours of it in a row.

I love that it's not immediately apparent what some of the characters bring to the table, they could have given each of them a crazy skill but nope, most of them feel like regular Joes.

Feels like the wachowski are taking advantage of the fact that they can pretty much show anything they want on Netflix, not dealing with censors must feel pretty good.

Yeah I'm starting to like this show more after 3 episodes. The dialogue is still laughable and I don't really like the structure of the show and how it just seems like random scenes playing out, but there is still something intriguing about the whole thing.

Like most Wachowski projects post-Matrix, it feels like a very unique and interesting thing that is let down by their execution. I totally want to keep watching and binge the whole thing today but I don't know if I can call it good.

Also 3 minute credits, are these the longest credits ever for a TV show? I guess since it's on Netflix they know no one will actually watch the credits before it skips to the next episode, so might as well make them super long.
