Wow looks great.
And the combat looks like an actual real combat in a video game.
I am playing this in japanese

This looks incredible. Stellar enemy design 'love the twisted neck enemies coming at you", stellar environments and stellar art direction overall, and the gameplay looked perfect for a silent hill game. This game looks incredible.

The enemies are all the same. What is this trash? And only like 6 weapons in the game that they already spoiled. Why? It is low budget and just using the title to help sell the game.

This looked AMAZING.... only thing I'm not sure that hit stop on the combat, but im not gonna make same mistake as SH2R....I'm gonna play it judge it myself.

But the visuals, atmosphere and enemy designs looked FUCKING AMAZING.

That's the one part I'm not a fan of. I like how helpless you usually feel in SH games. I don't want to feel like I stand a chance against the horrors that await.

Still, it looked awesome.

nah. You can still be helpless and game can be scary and atmospehric without terrible combat.
Look at evil within 2? Great game, great combat.
Yeah looks awesome. I hope it's playable in japanese dub over here

I dont have issue with actual combat itself other than hit stop when you hitting the enemy....it looks weird in survival horror game.

maybe it looks weird but I love the hit stop in games.
Ever since dead rising, I love it. Dragons dogma 2 also. Makes it feel heavy.
I don't mind if it's a bit more gameplay heavy. SH2 remake was so oppressive, I got diarrhea. I was legit depressed for few days. That game is so heavy and sad

I do too but not in survival horror game like SH.

Thats kinda what SH is all about? SH are not RE games.

Again I'm not gonna judge combat until I play it myself, I'm still super hype for this game.

At this point I am rooting for Konami. Crapcom just released remakes which are more demakes imo. Also fuck kojima with his pretentious Hollywood wannabe games.

yeah but that was a bit much

this does not look at all like silent hill. It's way too 'gore' and visceral rather than psychological horrors and atmosphere. That 'boss fight'? with the girl with a hole in her torso looked like the intro to a dark souls boss or something.

Konami really is back. What a return to form.

This was the best thing shown. Visuals were aces, 60fps, fantastic combat, and a release date?

I can't wait!

Thats what i like about SH series, they are heavy and oppressive.
They are and that's great... and remake does it incredibly well. I was never comfortable in that game.
But it';s also 2x the length of the original and got like x5 the combat which is not that good.

I agree with length, good survival horror games shouldnt be too long.

No matter how good the horror is we will adapt to the tension and the longer it goes on the less scary the game becomes.

I almost feel like they should've released this ahead of SH2.

Visually and gameplay wise, all I could think is "yeah...this isn't as good as that".

Still optimistic, but just a funky situation to be in, where your next big series title inspires potentially unfavorable comparison to to such a recent entry in the same series.

Yeah I can't imagine her rocking a shotty at some point. Maybe a pistol at best.
Especially the game takes place in Japan which is not easy for minors get a gun or having any training with it.

- Amazing/really good graphics
- Good art-direction
- Great atmosphere
- combat seems SH2-ish and chunky which is good

...and yet, I don't know, this looks more like Silent hill X Fatal frame - maybe it's just me being tired of Asian horror and girls in school uniforms but, yeah...

Anyway, looks really good just not SH-ish enough for me

Maybe it's because of the younger age protag and co, but that trailer gave me a sense of unease that I haven't felt since Silent Hill 1. I don't mean this franchise, I mean any game.

Remember when Konami didn't even want to make games?
