Just a quote:
Michael G. Wilson: "When Dr. No was going to be released, nobody thought we were going to get to fifty years of Bond, let alone 23 pictures"

They will begin shooting today, as we already knew.

Seems like the locations are:
Shanghai, Istanbul and Scotland.

Ralph Fiennes and Albert Finney are fantastic actors. I don't remember the last time a Bond film had such a great cast.

Daniel Craig: "Tremendously excited by the people we've got in the movie. We've assembled an incredible crew,"

Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Bérénice Marlohe, Dame Judi Dench and Naomie Harris are the ones on stage.

Bérénice Marlohe will play Severin. Naomie Harris will play a field agent called Eve. - Twitter.

So Naomie Harris is not Moneypenny... Unless we have come to learn her first name.

The scipt is 'fantastic' and will have a lot of action contrary to recent rumors.
Naomie Harris has been training for 2 months.

Woah, that's a damn good cast. Film of forever 2012?

Wow, this will turn out fucking amazing. Both Craig-movies were incredible. Fuck the haters!

edit: Skyfall sounds great!

It has been confirmed for Nov. 9, 2012 for a year now, Wallach.

They don't have anyone in mind for the theme song yet.

Should surprise no one. Titles, OST and theme song always are amongst the very last things to get done.

There are quite a few MOTF's next year. The real one being The Hobbit.

2012 is going to ruin me but James Bond always comes first. MGM sure wants to make a come back and get that red carpet rolling!

Apparently the budget is in the same range as Quantum of Solace.

Sam Mendes: "The action is part of the main body of the film. Every decision is mine. The action needs to co-exist with the drama."

Screw the haters but QoS had a damn fine Score (outside the stupid theme tune) and would welcome that back. The opera house <3

They got a documentary team following the production of SKYFALL in preparation for the 50th anniversary next year says Michael G. Wilson.

Now, if only they would release all 007 movies on Blu-ray next year in preparation for the SKYFALL premiere.. Remains a wish =(

The procuders says, that the title "Skyfall" has "some emotional context".

Edit: No, I'm not watching the press conference, I'm just gathering information from all corners of the Internet.

Craig is a terrible Bond. Even Brosnan was better than he is. But that's completely OT.

Brosnan's only best performance was in Goldeneye, and even that can be up for debate because he had no personality and felt like a jack-of-all-trades Bond and was trapped in that image forever. Even Roger, god horrors, had a better personality.

Wow, Skyfall "is its own story. It doesn't connect with the last two movies".

Sam Mendes would like to do another Bond movie after this one and he isn't going for Oscars, Skyfall is for the audience.

Best thing I've heard about this film yet. When they've gone for 'quality' directors in the past (Marc Forster, Michael Apted) the action has often been farmed out to second unit and ended up being unimaginative and poorly put together, which is crippling in a damn Bond film. Glad to hear that Mendes will be in control, and sounds confident in his vision.

Logo is really cool too.

Thank god. I mean really, who cared about 'Quantum'?

But what about the build up with Quantum? :( I guess that'll be for the next film after, having them spice some things up like how it was in the older James Bond films with their own stand alone story.

Excellent! Didn't give two shits about Quantum.

The press conference is done.

Filming will take place around Whitehall, London today.

"Mendes says that the names of Fiennes, Finney and Whishaw's characters are withheld because Bond fans might know them. Or they might not." - Empire.

I liked the arc they had going on in Casino Royale and its expansion pack. Hopefully it won't be a reboot, just more like a big sidequest.

Thank fuck for that.

Also i hope they have Q in this film. Seems like a small thing but Bond doesn't seem like Bond without Q in it

When asked if Daniel Craig will do more Bond movies, Barbara Broccoli replied: "Definitely".

It seems like he'll at least return for Bond 24.

SKYFALL will be similar in tone to Casino Royale and Craig confirms he has a shirtless scene as well.

This is shaping up really nicely. I'm expecting it to be one of the best.

More likely they've just dumped them unceremoniously, since everyone but Solo agrees that Quantum of Solace was bad and killed anyone's interest in that plot arc.

Haha, that's exactly what it was. It's been a fair gap since the last and this is looking awesome. Maybe they can beat Casino Royale here. A big ask, the right people are on board. Javier Bardem as a bad guy is awesome. Do we know Fiennes role yet?

Quantum was a good film though, especially if you combine it to its continuation with CR. Sure, it might of felt rushed and the action over the edge, but it still had good character development and still a fine James Bond film.

About the Oscars, Sam Mendes replied: "It's not the reason you do a movie and not the reason you do a Bond movie. For me, Bond movies are for the audience and what happens afterwards is out of my hands."

And Javier Bardem said: "Who told you a villain is a bad person? For me, it's an honour to be at this table for many reasons. It will be fun to do."

Quantum wasn't bad. It was just middling. And I have no invested interest in finding out who is behind Quantum.

A wish? It's a goddamn guarantee. First Bond film in 4 years + 50th Anniversary = mad money to be made on another home video re-release.

It's so far off topic it's off topic in every discussion, ever. It's off topic from reality.
