A bit off the record but I do wonder if Cavil will still be the best candidate for James Bond after Craig is done? I hope so since he'd be the perfect age for it by then.

I know this were already known, but the behind-the-scene cast is being confirmed now as well:

Roger Deakins is Skyfall's Director of Photography. A nine-time Oscar nominee, Deakins has previously collaborated with Sam Mendes.

Dennis Gassnerreturns as Skyfall's Production Designer. Gassner worked on Quantum of Solace and has also collaborated with Mendes.

Stuart Baird is Skyfall's Editor. Baird was also editor on Casino Royale.

Jany Temime is Skyfall's Costume Designer. Previous credits include six Harry Potter films, Children of Men and In Bruges.

Alexander Witt is Skyfall's 2nd Unit Director.

Gary Powell is Skyfall's Stunt Co-ordinator.

Chris Corbould is Skyfall's SFX Supervisor.

Steve Begg is Skyfall's Visual Effects Supervisor.

All of them mentioned in the press release.

Fiennes = Blofeld
 
Even though Mendes may be making Skyfall primarily "for the audience", I do somehow hope that this film nets Deakins his first Oscar win.

He's under contract for 24. And maybe even 25. His status in 24 was never in doubt.

The bit with him dodging all the MI6 goons and having a conversation with M at the same time was gold. QoS had it's moments, it just wasn't enough for my tastes unfortunately.

Since this is a Sony movie, I wonder if they'll credit Quantum for the PSN fiasco.
 
Im really excited that there are three character names they can't reveal. Awesome.

I fully expect Fiennes could be Blofeld and the villain for Bond 24.

Ralph Fiennes is PS3 Spokesperson, Kevin Butler. He is also Q. Bonds only gadgets in this film are 3D TVs and Uncharted games.
 
Everything sounds great. I just hope that we see Quantum and Camille again, if not in this film.
 
I still cannot comprehend fully the talent they have assembled. Well done!

Also, if this follows CR/QoS, expect a teaser around March and a trailer around June.
 
Sam Mendes seems so excited. I love that he is a big Bond fan. I really love that he never jumped ship and stayed with it during several tumultuous and surely frustrating years. Bardem is also a huge Bond fan, which is great. Nothing better than people actually enjoying themselves when making these movies.

Man, Michael Wilson looks like death.
 
Highly anticipating this movie right behind Dark Knight Rises, need trailer now!

WOW at this casting, I don't think we've ever seen such a strong cast in a Bond movie.
 
Sounds great.. hell yes to a 'local' french actress.

In SKYFALL, Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

Nope. They couldn't get a deal worked out for the train sequence. I am shocked that South America disappeared though.
