That's that from this corner.
Jimmy Fallon is pretty much known for being incredibly nervous.brandonh83 said:I'm sure it's absolutely different, different circumstances and all, but as a talkshow host he shouldn't really have those nerves like that if he's genuine, it's just the way he behaves I guess. Maybe he is good he's just acting that way for the audience or something.
I'm predicting your score as a metroid prime over bubsy 3d.Feep said:Hmmm...
I need to ask G4 to implement this new, radically superior review scale.Dartastic said:I'm predicting your score as a metroid prime over bubsy 3d.

OoT makes you collect your sword and shield, talk to the great deku tree and you're in the first dungeon.

I had to stop at the Desert stage because my wrist was hurting, lol. The Shaman lady almost killed me, what the fuck? I need to practice.SecretMoblin said:You're a good person and you deserve nothing but happiness and joy. <3

Yet here I am counting down the hours. This thread has changed me..

What if it gets a 7/10?brandonh83 said:For me the thing about reviews is simply seeing what other people think about a game before I can play it, especially a game I've been waiting a long time for. It's just part of the ride. Game is announced, you wait, screens are released, wait some more, wait wait wait, media here and there... but when people actually get the game and review it, whether you end up agreeing with them doesn't really matter all that much. It's just interesting to see what others think of the game.
When people come in review threads and make the same posts like "wait I thought everyone hated IGN" or "why do reviews matter you're going to buy it anyway," they don't really get that, in the grand scheme of things... it's just part of the ride. If they don't want to participate in review hype, that's cool, but I totally get why people anticipate reviews. They're getting a written, and sometimes video recorded, documentation of what people are thinking about the game that you've been waiting for.
I know IGN takes a lot of shit and I mostly agree with the shit it gets, however, that can't really apply to just one person. It's the place as a whole. The guy reviewing the Wii games, or the guy reviewing the Xbox 360 games, may be very smart individuals that have nothing to do with some of the dumber articles that the site puts up. Reviews typically don't have an impact on what I buy, when I see a game I'm interested enough in, I'll get it. And I know that my tastes are probably different from a first person shooter fan who reviews Silent Hill Homecoming. I take that into account.
So it's just simply not a one-sided thing, people look forward to reviews and people take reviews seriously to varying degrees. If a game I'm looking forward to gets great reviews, it leaves me with a nice, reaffirming feeling. Skyward Sword getting great reviews isn't going to be anything surprising-- it's Zelda-- but it should be a fun, interesting, and probably very amusing experience.
Death threats are mostly hot air but with that said, I wouldn't want to get any, I am paranoid as it is.Feep said:I'm talking to my friend Heather Anne Campbell (Jane from Sequence!), who gave Twilight Princess a 2/5 back in 2006. She said she received actual death threats.

I hadn't played a video game since April. I kept screwing the timing for the meteor attack (that's an Advance Guardian Heroes reference, people!).ShockingAlberto said:Shaman Lady is easy as fuck

My Uncharted 3 review got me one e-mail that said "Maybe you're bad at shooting. I'm not. Do you want to find out?"
I replied "Yes."
I have received nothing back.

Well not really, I demolished Sonic Generations. But that game is not as twitch-intensive as S&P2.

Dude... this lets me feel uncomfortable in giving away harsh scores. I'm lucky someone didn't fly to Sweden to stab me in the back when I gave Dark Souls a 5/10.ShockingAlberto said:You kind of have to take this stuff in stride and find it hilarious.
Video games aren't even the worst of it. A dude punched me at a political rally I was covering as press once. Right in the gut.
