It's the show fundamental problem: random events with no consequences.

How about the fact that Jax wants the developers to come to Charming. Didn't the club spend the last four seasons fighting this? They acted like it was death itself.

Well yes, because it would mean the end of local PD and the (uncontrollable) Sheriffs department taking over. But since that already happened, why not try and take advantage of it?

Yes, but Jax no longer wants the club to continue to survive with its current identity.

At least that's the way he's playing to the audience. Probably it will end up being revealed to all be a con at the end of the season like they did with the ATF informant storyline.
Don't think it's a con - Jax's theme this season seems to be that his "try and coexist" personality/approach is causing him to make a lot of decisions that are just going to bite him down the road. (#1 of course being his decision to let Clay live.)

- One more bit of casting news from EW:
Dave Navarro will guest star in
the last two episodes of Sons of Anarchy this season as a member of the Biz Lats gang with close ties to Nero (Jimmy Smits). And here’s the added bennie of luring the famous guitarist to the motorcycle club: Navarro’s band Jane’s Addiction will do a cover of “Sympathy for the Devil” for the SOA finale.

Shits gonna hit the fan with Jax and the rest of the club that aren't involved with the break ins find out who it is.

My money is still on Clay being behind it all.

This season's been excellent so far. Great episode tonight.

Oh shit at what the preview's implying
Unser :(
Yeah, I saw that.

Man, I thought it was (bad enough) Eli's unborn child but he lost his wife. :/ Jax at least got his revenge for Opie. Clay is a god damn slimeball, faking the extent of his injury. And confirmation of his involvement with the home invasions as well.

Time to go, Clay...

You would be surprised at how sturdy those things are.

Yeah, I have that Resident Evil 5 snow globe and it fell off a shelf about 7 feet up and it landed directly on the glass, bounced and then flipped around a few times before falling face up.

No cracks.

What did Pope meant by "loyalties has contingencies"? I don't understand the context of it.

He meant you can only trust the people around you and expect their loyalty based on certain criteria being met. If those things are no longer met their loyalty is fleeting.

Hence the Outside hit squads to keep people from taking him out. so in Pope's case, if someone thinks they can take him out and move up (lost lyalty), they would just be killed by an outside agent.

Oh and mind blown by Clay... my frist season watching BTW

Interesting to see the obvious confirmed with the Clay situation, hopefully we start to see his plan come to light soon, and then, you know, we finally get to see him killed.

Interesting stuff with Roosevelt as well.

Good episode, looks like things are lining up for the stretch run of episodes for the season.

Decent episode. I'm thinking the cuts on Tig's neck, which look remarkably like those Eli's wife would have made, will mess everything up until the club / Eli figure out that Clay is behind everything.

Clay is pretty much

And I love how Tig has turned into a punching bag this season.

It's a bad thing that Clay is essentially Snidely Whiplash. It's so completely over the top it is cartoonish. I half expect him to grow out a mustache next season and twirl it as he devises ways to fuck people up.

That was a great episode. Loved the Tig stuff. Got really fucked up and brutal, a nice contrast from the last episode.

Didn't like the stick-up suicide thing though, it was silly.

Pretty sure Tig did what he did for Jax, at least sort of. There's no way they could let the girl live, and Jax killing an innocent isn't a thing Jax would enjoy doing so Tig said fuck it I'll do it and take the heat since that's already his thing.

Hence the nod after he did it.

Loving this season so far. I like that the danger and action isn't just rising and rising all season and that the last two episodes have mostly dealt with pretty small things while the big things go on in the background and doesn't take up a majority of the episode.

Clay feigning weakness while masterminding this whole undermining of Jax is great, but at the same time it seems kind of.......cheesy and unbelievable. Clay always just went with what made the most money and never worried about the things that could happen, or planning at all really. Jax was always the one to have to get them out of the shit. So to see Clay suddenly being calm and collected and planning everything out just seems hard to believe. Willing to ignore it though as it works for the season and great overall.

Preview talk:
Noooooooooo not Unser! :( I'm hoping it's a fakeout.

Who cares about Unser? The fact that he's still alive after he was on his deathbed due to cancer couple last seasons is the show's biggest retcon. Miraculous recovery! In the same vein, Clay's recovery is amazing as well. Got to have stir up trouble. At least the 'Spike & wheelchair' act is nice.

But i don't get Clay's angle. If the break-ins were to disguise him getting the documents from the vault then why is he keeping on with this? Why order to break into the sheriff's house? What could he possibly want in there? Or he's just trying to have the sheriff get on the MC's case because what? If Caly wants to be back in charge i doubt if there's going to be left anything to be in charge of if you get the sheriff's ire.

Gemma's stuff are awful. What 'drama'.

I guess nobody heard the wife blasting a shotgun and called the police?

Deny the attorney to meet with Otto because she's tied with the club - Appoint and allow the well-known club's leader's wife to be in contact with him. Good going.

That is awesome news. I am loving this season. My favorite show!

He kind of looks like Opie in that picture, though. T_T
