a lot of the basis of this theory is hoping that the bad writing isn't in fact bad writing but all a plan for this twist. It would be cool but I'm skeptical. Someone is the rat though!

It'll probably be the big muscle dude with long hair. I don't even know his name. He's just there all the time, but there's no character to his character.

I need Gemma to face how everything this season is her fault. I really wish the show would at least show her thinking about all the death and current problems are because of her. A room full of girls died because of her. Yet, she doesn't seem to care.

I really just need Jax to confront her about all this "All these people are dead because of you!"

All the bodies on her and she cares about the birds.

Sutter's genius way of stretching this a full season and writing around the fact that Gemma should be a complete emotional wreck with all the destruction going on because of her is to spend a couple minutes establishing she may be losing her sanity by talking to Tara.

But even that he won't commit to as her mental health is having no real impact on any other aspect of her personality and will probably be another dead end 'arc'.

I will actually laugh if Jax says something like that to Gemma about the deaths - he has no one to blame but himself for taking the word of a seasoned liar and manipulator. The lack of self-awareness would be a new low for the series.

It'll probably happen.

Dan

No longer boycotting the Wolfenstein franchise
Unser and the sheriff quickly deduce that Juice is lying about his reasons for wanting a specific prison arrangement and that he's most likely going to murder Lin. Without even any thought, they conclude this is good for Charming. Those obvious lies also somehow don't make them question whether his claims about Tara's murder may not be aboveboard either.

The complete and utter lack of legitimate self-reflection and self-awareness by anyone on the show is really difficult to take. That whole opening pep talk by Chibs to Jax was unbearable. What are you talking about? It's just blind bullshit about staying the course, except the course is profoundly moronic.

Oops, I killed your son. I know that was kinda sorta not cool, but you should have come talked to me like a polite and rational human being. Don't go betray me like a bitch, even though that's exactly what I did to you in starting this situation. Let me conclude this debacle by acting rashly and making everything worse.

I want this show to end with every other club and gang to join together, show up at TM, shoot up every last member of Jax's crew and family, then calmly drive out of town while Charming residents line the streets and cheer.

Yep, Jax is a complete idiot and it's reached a tipping point for me. I just can't with this show anymore, it's so boring and nothing makes sense.

Marks specifically tells Jax: "Don't cross me, Jackson."
Jax crosses Marks, Marks has Bobby kidnapped and mutilated.
"oh man I totally didn't see that coming, he's so much smarter than me."

And when Chibb's asks Jax why they started the whole shitstorm with Marks, he says "Tara." Marks had nothing to do with Tara, he was just trying to stop the blowback from turning into all-out war in Charming. None of this shit with Marks makes any sense, for the narrative or for the club specifically. After all the bullshit Jax had to go through to convince the Irish to accept Marks, Jax turns on him. What does this do for their relationship with the Irish, what's to stop them from coming back now and cleaning house, killing off the Sons and all of Marks' crew?

I have a feeling that's not something that's even being considered by Sutter, he's setting up this major rivalry between Jax and Marks for no apparent reason, and it just feels so empty. Like I can't root for either side, there's really no one worth relating to on this show anymore aside from Nero, and he's obviously going to die or turn into an asshole. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he was the one who killed the birds and fucked with the kids' room in order to get Gemma to take the kids with him.

I thought I'd give it another shot to actually pick up the pace this season, for my own sanity I just need to wait and see what happens before I watch more. This show used to be an exciting guilty pleasure, now it's exhausting to get through each episode.
+1
"They killed my birds."

LOL!!!
That was amazing.

Now that would be amazing.

It's actually a good idea, therefore it won't happen. I have come to accept that Kurt Sutter has less writing talent then WWE writers, and maybe as much talent as Vince Russo.

Love him or hate him. Vince Russo was never boring.

It seems like the whole Jax/Marks beef stemmed from a two sentence conversation in one of the first S7 episodes.

Marks: Don't retaliate for Tara's murder just yet, the heat is too high right now.

Jax: TWO YEAR OLD TEMPER TANTRUM OMG YOU GUYS HE TRIED TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO LETS KILL EVERYONE

I'm with you on Nero too. As much as they're pushing this "riding off into the sunset" arc with him, I totally thought he was going to kill the cabin rehabbing lady when Gemma left the room to retaliate for his parallel story line.

It just makes no sense still having a character around whose sole purpose is to gaga over Gemma when the entire viewing audience already knows she's the piece of poop.

Which is hilarious considering when the wife of Jax's best friend was murdered, he tried to convince him not to retaliate against Clay yet, because of....a business deal.

But Jax's wife dies? Fuck that, lets just murder everyone and act surprised when there's consequences.

Two year old having a temper tantrum nails it beautifully.

Another 90 minute episode where literally nothing happens. Really? Really, Sutter?

Really?

And what was with the random cuts to black?

Anyway, Abel smacking fools with his lunch box and asking for milk? Obviously prepping to cave Gemma's head in in the final episode.

Gemma crying more over her dead birds than both killing Tara and the shitshow she set into motion with Jax. Sigh.

And the JT book and its revelation is now relevant again? Oh, well that's...Oh wait, Jury's dead. Well that's that scratched off the list.

There's hissstory here, understand. - I laughed way more at this then I probably should have.

I have no thoughts on the rest of the episode other than..are you serious with this shit, Sutter?

Did you watch the final season of Dexter and think to yourself that you could easily put out some much worse?

I'm so close to ditching this show until the finale, but there can't be many episodes left, so I'll suffer through the last episodes and hope for a somewhat decent ending.

And everyone still thinks dexter was worse than this?

I hated the final season of dexter, but it made more sense than this

can some clear this up for me? in the episode where gemma went to the cabin because she thought jax knew and might kill her, she had a gun with her and was going to use it. was she just planning on killing the club members, or was she going to kill jax too just so she could keep on living??

I'm finding to hard to argue that Dexter is still the worst of the two. Even with how Dex ended, this feels like it's even worse....

Who the fuck knows what Gemma is thinking half the time. I assume her plan was to kill them and make a run for it, probably before Jax appeared, but then she realised it was for her protection, so she's back to existing again...

Dexter was the worst ever. I won't go into spoilers but that season will probably never be topped as worst ever.

I don't know, we're nearing the point where it's hard to argue one is worse than the other.

Until jax decides to (dexter)
pack it up and become a lumberjack
, this season still can't be the worst thing :p

At least lumberjack Dex made some sense as did the final season in general, this season hasn't made a lick of sense so far. Every single character has undergone a stupidectomy and we've got characters acting completely out of, well, character.

Haven't watched it yet, but by the sound of it, my prediction that this season is going to end up worse than the final Dexter season is looking more likely.

Anyone agree?

Your prediction has zero chance of being right. The new thing is to say "_____ is worse than the last season of Dexter", and people are always wrong. NOTHING is worse than the last season of Dexter. Long after SoA has ended, people will still be comparing disappointing final seasons to that of Dexter

Yep, I think people need to go back and watch Dexter season 8 if people think this is worse, because this is nowhere close to that.

"Theres this little thing called Google earth"

people trying to argue this isn't as bad as dexter sound desperate

jax is a piece of shit and so are the idiots who blindly follow him

Damn. I stopped watching this show when an Irish dude was speeding away in a boat with Jax's baby like a god damn cartoon villain. And that's when people thought this show was amazing. Can't imagine how terrible it is now.

Lost and Battlestar Galactica both trump Dexter in terms of heinously bad endings.

At least when that happened it wasn't boring.

Did anyone else notice that when the military dad was slapping around his kid, Tig's warning shot hit the wall exactly where the kid was standing behind it. lol.

Going to see the latest episode tonight. Will be interesting to see how many times I'll start browsing Gaf on my cellphone instead. It has been way more entertaining reading this thread than it has been watching the last episodes.
