Saw it last night. Boring episode. None is likeable in the show anymore. Jax has went completely to the dark side when he always had good in him before.

The evolution of an antihero can be a fantastic journey to watch (The Shield, Breaking Bad) but it's just done so lazily here.

How many times have we seen Jax play master tactician and outsmart the police, DEA, other gangs, HIS gang and even his own family when needed. Yet we're supposed to accept him outright believing Gemma and starting a very nasty war when he has a weak club?

You could argue that his grief has taken over, but he has kept his cool when others have died before - and he still has his kids to think about.

None of this feels natural.

Y'all should check out r/sonsofanarchy for a good laugh. They're so in love with the whole MC fantasy that SoA introduced to them that they're unwilling to admit to the downward spiral this show has been in since season 3 (though that year's finale was great). Any reasonable criticism gets downvoted to oblivion.

None of it makes any sense. If the asians wanted to send a message by killing Tara, why wouldn't they at least make it known it was them who did it?

The whole black and white vs. brown and yellow shit is a plot literally no one watching the show gives a shit about.

Jax cared enough about his family that he was going to turn himself in a minute ago but now he doesn't even see his kids after he gets out of jail. It's all just horribly written drek

That was incredibly average. Why oh why won't Gemma just fucking dieeeeeeeee. If the showrunner was anyone other than her husband she would've been killed off a long time ago. All I'm hoping for in this final season is that she gets an extremely satisfying death and that Unser and Nero survive. They're the only truly "good" characters in the show in my opinion.

This show is so bad.

Jax killed like 5 innocent people in one episode - and no mention of it was even made.

Yep.

Girl on bed reaches for gun, blast em all!

Oh, these aren't the people we are looking for, huh. Hey you, big guy, bury them.

Sure thing!

Disappointed in the premiere.
Here's hoping the rest of the season picks up...

I'd excuse all the other weird / stupid things that happened in the episode but
NOT questioning the Chinese dude? -- C'mon now! I agree with the rest of you...He could have some valuable information.

Also for some odd reason
I can't take Theo Huxtable seriously as a biker. I kinda chuckled to myself each time I saw him in a scene. xD

That premiere was just....... ugh. Gemma is such a bastard and despite how bad-off Wendy was in the first episode, shes the only one deserving of those kids now.

The change in Jax was definitely noticeable. He's still respectable when it comes to club business, but the man is just ruthless now and he can only get worse.

I love how Sutter is given extra time by FX almost every episode and he just blows it on pointless montages.

If you're using 'Bohemian Rhapsody' in your montage, it's too long.

Finale will be a montage for the last half hour using "Freebird"s extended version.

They killed off Opie too early and shouldn't have killed Tara. The show completely lacks an emotional compass. Even Bobby just seems to have given up being a human being. It isn't too late for them to pull this out and have Jax find some humanity, but that window is closing. There's no tension in bad people just being bad. It's Breaking Bad without Jesse at this point.

I'll bear with it since it's the final season, but at this point it's just Sutter's id going crazy.

Finale will be a montage for the last half hour using "Freebird"s extended version.

The montage will be nothing but Jax cooly killing everyone in charming, while blood spatters over his face and naked torso. You'll be able to hear Kurt Sutter's masturbatorial grunting from anywhere in the contiguous United States.

Terrible.

Mass murder of 20 people during a drug deal. Murdering people on the side of the highway. Not a single cop in a 20 mile vicinity. Am I watching Dexter? Is this now the new worst police force in TV history?

It was twelve people doing a drug/guns deal in the middle of nowhere. They were on farming property far away from anybody and everybody else. They were not ever on any highway from what I saw.

Plus they probably weren't even in the Redwood area. Lin's crew has a pretty expansive reach.

That was pretty boring. Not even the shootout managed to hold my attention for long.

Jax done fucked up. That other club president was mad as shit. Were those his sons or just members?

He introduced them as trustworthy locals he met through one of his whores. There might be more to it in hindsight.

Guys, I don't think I like Jax anymore. He's kind of a dick now. :(

Real shame. He was good people until this season.

The bigger wtf was how Lin's crew and Nero were the only people on a single road. No other cars needed that street for miles apparently.

He lost me when he jammed a needle into Wendy's arm near the end of season five. Now it's just cartoonish villainy. Granted, it's all being spurred by a lie, but yeesh.

Damn, Jax wakes up the way I do.

With a sad face and hearing in the lawn mower. And wondering what the fuck im doing.

Jax has always been a scumbag. Look back at the earlier seasons.

Jax has always been a piece of shit, with a potential for positive change influenced by Tara and his kids.

I feel like they threw away the dad/journal subplot too easily, but losing Tara obviously destroyed any hope he had of becoming a better person. I really don't think he cares what happens to him or the club at this point - he just wants to make Lin's crew hurt. The sad and ironic thing is that he probably knows that his kids are going to be better of with Wendy than him.

Tig and Ratboy were on point this episode though, and Nero is pretty much the saving grace of the show.

I like how Bobby has always been made out to be the moral conscience of the club, and now he's just capping fools in the head left and right with no hesitation lol.
