Nintendo can honestly shove that "Your last play session ending early was PREEETY SUSPICIOUS" message up their butt. Not my fault that online play is unstable sometimes.
i got it once in a teams league match where i would have no reason to ever abandon my friends and the game forcibly disconnected me right before the lobby started the match
its my only disconnect actually on record
trivially blasted my way all the way up to mayo king, didn't ever have losing streaks.
one thing i so don't understand anymore is splatfest power and the rewards for winning
it seemed during my placement matches i went upwards from 4+2 -> 5+2 -> 6+2 -> 7+2 for wins, which should correlate to something like 1000+ 1800+ 1900+ 2000+
but i was constantly getting completely inconsistent 5+2 7+2 6+2 randomly if i was going up or down. Is it based on the team's ranking that you're fighting with or against now or something?
what they really needed to fix with splatfest was the fact you're still only earning fucking 2 points for a loss which means if you get stuck with bad teammates over and over you can take hours and hours and hours of losses even to get to 50/50 aka champion
steel eels need a nerf of some kind, literally the only thing that can deal with their bullshit in high tide is a stringray and you need to save your stingrays if you rolled that for all the wave 3 flyfish spam that always happens because there is zero fucking chance your teammates have that much spare ink to give two bombs to every fly fish
successfully reflecting drizzler's missile should always do the quickkill or at least act as an explosion on small mobs / other bosses if it doesnt start reflecting back at drizzler.
i think if you could shoot through some parts of the steel eel's "wall" of inkfountains (maybe they could turn into like traincar enemies with some sections being just bars you can pass as a squid and some being the fountain lazerjets) or maybe if they didn't cover the ground they were passing over and only actually 'floated' or maybe if the driver was very tall and you could aim up and over the eel's body and getting the eel to go back and forth like a game of snake would curl up the body so you'd get easier shots on the guy at the back
it feels like its not enough with the steel eels that despite the mouth being a great weakpoint its just an impervious hitbox and that when you do quickly kill them they still keep driving for another several seconds
everything else is manageable by multiple supers but you can have a steel eel completely trap you and encircle you and use inkjet and die on your way up or splashdown and do no damage to it like how scrappers completely ignore splashdowns that aren't PERFECTLY behind them. maybe they should have a minimum turning radius and their ground ink reduced so you can get 'trapped inside' them and still kill them without getting bumped by little guys but not just get caught tighter and tighter and tighter and get killed with no remorse.
if we could squid jump in salmon run at least then we'd be able to jump out of the steel eel's encirclement
