Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

It just needs more maps in general, either 3 maps in rotation or reduced time would be nice when they add more.

Pretty sure it'll be a three-map rotation soon enough. There's space for it in the UI (the two maps in the current rotation in the top 2/3 slots) so we should see a three-map rotation maybe as early as the first new stage. I think it'll be more around the 8th stage though.

That feeling when you have yourself backed into just a tiny corner of ground, two enemies actively shooting at you, just starting to take a hit or two and manage to superjump out of the way at just the last moments. So kickass.

I didn't think I would like the Splattershot Pro as much as I do, but it's probably my most effective weapon for the time being. Just wish I could get some more gear to beef up its ink refill speed a bit and I'll be in good shape.

You realize that the teams swap players after every match? Unless you mean quit mid-match, which is a total douche move.
Of course I realize haha. That doesn't solve the problem though, you still lost mostly regardless of your own abilities, which means you also probably win regardless of your own abilities. It's just kind of lame.

Like winning/losing isn't the same as winning/losing in Smash or Mario Kart.

how does the full game compare to the stress test ?

About the same amount of issues. Have played a lot of only in a couple of matches did my paint not show immediately (leading me to walk into the opposing team's paint for a few seconds) and I've had one disconnect. So I'd say 99.5% of matches go off without a problem in my case, just like the stress test.

Eh, yes and no. I mean I understand where you are coming from, and I do prefer FPS deathmatch, fighting, and racing games because of that principle. However, there are ways you can influence your team.

For example, I was in a match where the enemy had a particularly good combo of weapons and specials to keep us suppressed at spawn. That is... if we kept trying to kill them like my team was doing. I noticed it took 3 of them at one side of our main area to keep it going, so I just spawned in swim mode and went clear to the other side of the map and painted everything unbothered. That forced them to move out and then my team came out and pained stuff as well and we won by a bit.

Still, it is a bit annoying when you lose and you have 1200 and your teammates are floating around 400. I guess I've built a tolerance against it from playing a MOBA (HotS), but I remember back when I used to dominate UT all the time and carry my team 30+ frags over everyone else, so it's not exactly a new issue to team games.

Yeah, I'm still having fun! But it's just like there's not that same level of "well I can't go out like that, time to play one more", if that makes sense.

Maybe I'm trying to say that the competition isn't very personal, which makes it less fun for me because I like showing how much better I am than other individuals.

Love ir even though i am shit, even handed the controller to my girlfriend who is also not much better to play online. Good fun though.

What i'd like to see for the future

1 vs 1 turf wars offline, The rest of players controlled by computer like in mario kart (doubt this would ever happen, but our favourite part of the game was turf wars, we were bored of balloon shooting after a short while)

Same as above but up to four friends playing locally (still fun having four people around the house to play games, offline locally, what would be even more amazing but will never happen was if Nintendo allowed a Second Wii gamepad with offscreen play so you could have 2 on gamepads and 2 on splitscreen with pro controllers)

Thats it, well and all of the stuff already Announced

I can't find a weapon that I like or am good with ;(
Still using splattershot jr
Honestly, it's one of the best loadouts in the game so there's no shame in that. It's really good at covering space and it's more accurate than it has any business being, and it comes with one of the best specials in the game, to boot. It may not hold up in other modes, but there's no way to really know that until they're actually available.
