Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

Just hit 15 and unlocked the Dynamo Roller. Jeeeeezus. The amount of ground you can cover with this thing in conjunction with the sprinkler is obscene. On Saltspray rig, you can toss a sprinkler from next to spawn onto the southern flat area and go painting somewhere else and net 200 points before you even see an enemy. It's pretty awful in direct combat, but when it comes to getting points, this thing is unmatched.

I like pink vs. green matches -- reminds me of watermelon-flavored bubble gum

And pink vs. yellow matches remind me of pink lemonade and yellow lemonade

I love pink and blue matches. Makes me want cotton candy!

"ink can't melt steel beams" miiverse post in the lobby. Lol I'm loving this game despite my ineptitude.

I wanna practice with a Charger but just absolutely awful at it.

Which charger weapons do you prefer, GAF, and enlighten me with playstyle tips please!

I added a lot of people from the Google Doc. If you didn't get a request from me, feel free to add me. I'll be on later... need to grab some food.

NNID: BlakStatus

Ill glady throw Nintendo 10 dollars DLC bucks for a gather together with friends before matching system for this game.

Reggie.. you know you want those dollars.
As stupid and unessasary as that sounds in 2015... Id do the exact same.

I wish the amiibo challenges were a little more varied. Maybe its because I blazed through the story but I don't see myself touching the challenges for a while.

And the last boss was cool but his final phase was a pain in the ass, not enough space.

Started single player today. So far...yeah, I look forward to what's ahead. Sunken scrolls are cleverly placed :)

Also added myself to the NNID sheet.

I'm trash at splattershit pro lol.

Has anyone with the Amiibos tried with a friend to see if you can "share" them? Like how you can scan a Sonic Amiibo and unlock the MK8 costume on both my Wii U and a friends Wii U? Can you do that with the Splatoon ones? Scan it on my console, unlock stuff, then scan it on another and unlock the stuff again?

Holy shit, nice with the shield saves shahadan. And I laughed when both daydream and I superjumped to save the middle and just jumped around like idiots

Alright, got to level 8 on my first day. I'd keep going, but I'm sure you guys will get Ranked soon regardless.

Which is better? Jr or custom jr?

Debating getting this or not. Got a baby on the way, so I'm trying to limit my purchases to games I know I'll be playing in short bursts and that won't get old quickly. Does Splatoon fit the bill?

I'd say so, when you've learned the controls. A single-player level takes 5+ minutes to play. A Turf War match takes 3 minutes. Since the map are affected by the players' actions, I don't think the maps get old that fast.

The game is designed by the Animal Crossing team, and it follows the same design pattern (content added gradually, and all content isn't available at all times).

I got this a few hours ago, having a lot of fun, but I had a question, is there any way to manually set the color for color lock? I have issues with certain colors and I wanted to lock mine at something kinda cool/neutral but I keep getting lime green and pepto bismol pink.

I'm pretty sure that works. Nothing is written to the amiibo.

It locks to the color you last played. So disable color lock, play until you get a good color match, exit and turn on color lock.

Thanks for the answer, I didn't know the Animal Crossing team developed it. Is there a lot of equipment to unlock? I'm assuming that more maps are also planned?

That's good. It's what I assumed as all it needs is the one tap but I also didn't want to cheat my cousin out of the unlocks. Don't think he's registered them yet though so they might have to be set to me until he changes them.

I'm gonna try to play again in a bit. I might see some of you if I managed to get into your games if you're still playing. If you haven't added me its: Rito2Ru
Don't worry, I don't bite lol

I had lag once where I was painting and painting and painting... but no paint was appearing on the ground... and then all of a sudden, the paint all appeared at once, lol.

But for the most part online has been rock solid.

That's the one time I've ever seen noticable lag too, except for things like getting killed from a mile away by a paint roller that was no where near me, or being killed long after you already turned the corner to safety behind cover.

It seems like nintendo's lag disguising is hugely intense in this, doing everything possible to make sure they disguise the delay so you never see lag, no matter how intense the lag is.

I think they basically refuse to ever locally warp an opponent's position even if their predicted movement was massively wrong, until they enter squid form, where they feel safe teleporting people all over the place to fix corrections because no one can see the teleportations.

It is a little weird that painting stuff seems quick enough to have to be done locally, at least while you're currently looking at that paint, except when the lag becomes so intense they basically have to turn painting off.

Good games, everyone!

So intense. That charger is crazy.

Going to take a break now. I should be on later tonight if anyone wants to try and setup another lobby.

When it's real close and you juuust lose and you see you had a disconnect...
