Thanks for the answer, I didn't know the Animal Crossing team developed it. Is there a lot of equipment to unlock? I'm assuming that more maps are also planned?

Only 5 maps available now, more maps (9 shown in the Splatoon Direct) are promised to appear "every few weeks" during the summer. There is pretty much gear to get already, but that is also promised to expand further. More weapons are also going to be added. 2 more modes is known to arrive, and then a bigger update in August. Content in the shops are changed once a day.

Bear in mind that DCs on the winning team will have 300 points; the win screen still records the win bonus.

I'm about half way done the single player in the game right now and I'm level 4 in the multiplayer. I seem to be doing okay in the multiplayer so far.

I wish the amiibo challenges were a little more varied. Maybe its because I blazed through the story but I don't see myself touching the challenges for a while.

And the last boss was cool but his final phase was a pain in the ass, not enough space.

This is why they are amiibo locked, if they had made them for the game proper they'd have had to actually put some work into them, lol.

See if you accidentally checked Color Lock in the options.

In the options there is a colour lock, maybe you accidentally turned that on. It should switch colours every match.

So lets say I progress to atleast midlane early and push into their base without inking to much of my base, why does that seem to give me more special meter? It basically says let one other fill your base but everyone else go on offensive.

If one person is doing that much fighting and sending people back to spawn, his other 3 mates should easily be filling in everything behind him and making sure nobody slips through the cracks.

Finally hit level 10, taking a break for now. Definitely takes a little bit to get there but it makes sense considering the level cap is 20.
