Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

omg at one point during that game i thought i was going to die so i looked at the gamepad to launch my missile before i was dead

when i looked up i wasn't dead but i thought i was

so i was standing in the middle of the battlefield for good 10s until someone (burn?) put me out of my, uh, oblivion lol

I just found level 10's research paper.................

I'm looking at an evolution chart that shows the progression of squid to human-like form. This is kinda disturbing. And they hint at humans or as the game calls them, "creatures of the surface" being extinct from rising sea levels which means this game takes place in our world after we're all dead.

This game is scaring me.

Like it's the only
post-apocalyptic
Nintendo EAD IP.

Yeah...no. This is exactly why I don't want it.

On a serious note, it would be more or less utilized to execute strategy, I can't explain how many times I've wanted to communicate to a team mate to either hold a position or go a separate way because I was already taking an area. I only ever look at the gamepad map when I'm dead, so sometimes it is hard to find out which area an enemy may be taking, or even if I'm about to get ambushed by a gang.

why can't splatoon be more like counter strike

Final boss was awesome for spectacle, but holy wow it gets pretty hellish for as much as it throws at you at once, especially once you reach the end.
Not even just avoiding the killer wails, bullets, and enemy-pods, but the final phase of the "Ganon-tennis" rocket makes its approach so quickly that you have to basically ignore safety and everything else and already be firing at it or else you won't hit it enough in time.

The boss fight was awesome, but the ending itself felt underwhelming to me. I'm not sure why but I really expected more of a twist than what we got. Oh well, grooving out to the music now.

Because it's fresh and new on a Nintendo console. They don't want people to be overwhelmed. It's the right call.

Or something like that.

That would made voice chat mandatory because those using it would have a way too big advantage imo.
Text promps are a good compromise, but maybe there should be a bit more of them

I'll add u guys now, that was my last for awhile, how did I get 1306 in a loss
Edit: if anyone wants to add me my NNID is the same as my gaf name, I'll be back at 10, so the map change after this one coming up

The official one I bought to save me from slitting my wrists while I'm stuck at a con. Unlike their shitty Pokemon guides, this one is really technical. Here's a list (5x chance compared to other abilities):

Firefin: Ink Saver (Sub)
Forge: Special Duration Up
Inkline: Defense Up
Krak-On: Swim Speed Up
Rockenburg: Run Speed Up
Skalop: Quick Respawn
Splash Mob: Ink Saver (Main)
SquidForce: Damage Up
Takoroka: Special Charge Up
Tentatek: Ink Recovery Up
Zekko: Special Saver
Zink: Quick Super Jump

The brands I didn't list have no preference. There are also uncommon abilities for the above brands but who cares about those? That and I need to rush to the last program I'm seeing today at this Dr.Who con, then we're going home.

This list should be added to the OP.

Just got to level 20, gonna add slots to my favourite shirt. :D

wish there was an option to put the special on left trigger instead of right stick

hate hate hate hitting it on accident

sitting at +14 atm!

I mean, you can still perform well without voice chat and even opting to mute team mates, voice chat isn't always an advantage depending on how people communicate.

And lol at the two dpad chat things, the most vague commands ever.

There's only a single one that can communicate strategies. I don't get it, with the touchable gamepad you have the most flawless map interface on consoles ever, why not give players RTS/Lords Manager-style ping options or even let them draw arrows on there

Look at Inkopolis Tower and revisit Octo Valley after you've watched the credits

They probably have that feature finished, they're just not releasing it until next year because it would be too overwhelming.

0.1 % victory ! The best type of victory. To think that if I didn't jump over 2 seeker coming on my way in a row, we would have lost !

I'd like a "stay here" or something at least. As for arrows and pinging that would work and be great if the map was on the screen rather than on the gamepad. You could virtually lose your time making indications without people even seeing them.

So yea, I think the high rate of fire standard shooters (standard shooters being: Splattershot Jr., Splattershot, Splattershot Pro, Aerospray and the Gal weapons) really dominate the "class". I think the Blaster provides something similar to a charger, but at a closer range. The chargers and rollers both do something else compared to the shooters, so it doesn't really affect them.

EDIT: Forgot the Squelchers, but I haven't really used them well enough. I think they are better for taking out Chargers.

Missed this earlier. Thanks for this.
