Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

It happened. My wife was playing when I was at work. She NEVER plays games. She likes it, prefers the roller so far. She hasn't played a game with me since Mario Kart Double Dash, only problem is we have to share online battles 4-ways now!
This game is the best.

I wish the game had some kind of match making that puts you with people whoi know how to play the game. I have 1000+ points on a losing team and the rest have a COMBINED 500. One guy was just staying at base covering every teeny tiny spot, not big spots, ones you couldn't even step on.

Nothing like thinking you are good and then being completely massacred over and over again in splatzones. That was ugly, died 14 times.

You guys run ahead while he does the real leg work no one else has the courage to do

lol when you think you're doing well and you look at the map and your rando team can't get past spawn campers.

The best game I had, pointwise, was like that. I broke 900 points (no idea if this is good by GAF standards, but I average about 700 or so not counting the 300 winning point bonus). At the end of the match, looked at my map and it was just like....damn. It seemed like I had been the only one doing anything, felt that way anyway.

ughh my team was.. not super great, let's say

two guys had 0-5 and 0-6 respectively (don't think they were gaffers)

nnid: windjamming, can't add you back while i'm still in a game though

That pretty much sums up the Port Mackerel matches I had against DaBoss today.

I couldn't get nearly as many points as I would've liked because I had to stay on the spawn point and fire at people to get them to fuck off.

I decided to try the roller again and did okay with it. It's not as useless as I thought. You just have to learn to run away if someone with a gun sees you. I'm also getting pretty good with the Killer Wail.

Is mudkips a gaffer? That name sounded familiar.

Edit: nm, didn't realize it was a name of a Pokemon :lol

Probably already has been mentioned but I didn't realize would dominant rollers could be in the new Port level.

I was on a team with all rapid fire weapons against a team of all rollers and I laughed at how bad we would win (since that match up would weigh heavily in our favor in other maps) and we got destroyed. Not that I couldn't easily take out rollers in other times, but they are quick and the perfect size to fill those entire corridor. If you meet a roller walking though there, if you aren't the first to shoot, they could roll you over without barely having to adjust, especially since they could potentially be faster than you even in your squid form. It's like their speed and the close quarters completely works in their favor.
