Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

I had issues with 3ds working properly while all my other systems were fine. I called Nintendo and they took remote control of my router, changed some settings around and it's worked flawlessly ever since.
Wow, interesting. Guess I could try it tomorrow if things aren't working.

The connection is particularly shitty today. I've had lots of disconnects and my connection is stable.
Quite possibly. I was able to get 2 or 3 matches in (now halfway to Level 3), so it could just be this.

Even if I can't reach the highs of the aerospray in points or kills, I feel like the splatshoot jr. is more consistent, and the bubbler can be great at defending or swinging the tide of a match, at least much more than any of the aerospray specials.

Good games everyone!

nothing like seeing one guy pop a bubble and then three squids arc through him and suddenly you're fighting an entire team of invincible opponents

Rank A, 74. Five game winning streak. I might do it this time guys!

It's anazing, especially in splatzone.

i'm really fixated on dmg+ and def+, for some reason

i want at least two dmg or def and one of the other but it's not happening

guess i'm gonna keep rerolling on those ninja jump shoes since i know they can get those abilities

I have Forge goggles with 2x Nade Distance, and 2x Defense. It makes me sad.

That said, I am done with my Sigma-Aldritch orders, 2L of chloroform and Poly(Bisphenol A carbonate)! Now back to Splatoon.

The fucking day I want to play a couple of games I get disconnects in the middle of the matches every fucking time. Is the first time it happens too. Fuck this I give up for the night.

i tried ink resistance up, was not impressed

i already got 2x quick respawn. also, i feel like managing my gear under the assumption that i'm going to be splatted a lot may be a bit too cheeky for my tastes
What weapon did you use with IRU? It's not that useful with, say, the Aerospray

3x quick respawn is a joke set. You just run into things with an Aerospray or Junior instead of actually trying to fight properly. lol

What's the rest of your gear?

The absence of vertical analogue control in combination with motion, yet allowing horizontal, is the stupidest shit though. Needs to be fixed asap.

I really want to like the Dynamo Roller but I just can't.

It uses up too much ink, slow as hell, and the amount it covers up can be made up by the other roller by slightly tilting the control stick left and right while going forward. Its brush strike is great but why on earth did the developers think it was a good idea to give it the slowest startup time ever? Thought the slow mobility and heavy ink usage were enough to offset that fact.

i only use aerospray, not planning to switch

i'll post gear pics soon for you to scrutinise (although i'm pretty much satisfied with 2/3rds of it)

No way to change main ability of an item, right? Really want a damage up hat, but all the ones I've seen look terrible, ugh

Won a match with 80.0% and got MVP with like 6-0 or something. Aaaaand I'm done for the night. It can only go downhill from there.

I'm amazed at how well I do with just the simple starting Splattershot Jr. That and the first Roller you get are my favorite weapons. Don't need none of them fancy shmancy weapons.

I'm going to start a room.

Okay, I'll just join your room.

Yeah, the starting weapons are good. Though there are very few weapons that I'd consider kind of bad.

Ah, yeah, IRU isn't a good fit for the Aerospray. It's a lot better with weapons where you can't just ink the surrounding territory almost instantly.

Nope. Let's see, according to the guide... You can choose between a headband and a snorkel, and if you have the Inkling Boy amiibo you can have a samurai helmet too. And that's it. There doesn't even seem to be a 3-star option so you'll have to pay Spyke lots of dough to get that third slot.

Fuck, that's the worst. I want to use my godlike looking hat, but instead I gotta go snorkeling? Ugh

On one hand, I'm actually liking this Aerospray RG I just unlocked. On the other, it's also the exact weapon I've seen in a minimum of four hands in every round. I'm conflicted.

Single-player was fun, and the final boss was awesome, but it just left me wanting more. It's a great concept but I feel it needed to be like twice as long and I really wish more was put into its presentation. I understand that the multiplayer was the clear focus but there's a lot of interesting concepts in single-player that multiplayer can't really get into.

If they make a sequel playable Octolings should be high on the to do list.

Also, as awesome as the final boss is, it almost feels like a final boss to a game that was like twice as long. The levels leading up to it aren't anywhere near as nuts. The escalation of danger is like a cliff.

But it really is a great boss fight.

EDIT: Also, there really needs to be a way to switch weapons while in a lobby. I hate how locked in you feel when you join a lobby.

Personally I think the hoodie with Ninja Squid is pretty stylish.

The thing about it is that it's just too plain/muted. It is nice but in that casual day out kinda way. This was my previous look before I reached Lv. 20 and started the long grind for stat re-rolls on my favorite looking stuff:

The purple/light blue/blue contrast pops and it looks absolutely great, whereas the hoody doesn't pop enough to contrast with that color or any other that I particularly like.

Anyone else experiencing lots of lag today? I've had a 100% lag free exprience since launch and in the global testfires, but today has been pretty awful. Is it just my connection?

Just found Scroll 10 in single player. Um, wow.

Between this and Pikmin 3, Nintendo definitely makes the cutest Post-apocalyptic worlds.
