Word of mouth, people know It Takes Two and when they hear this "is from the makers of It Takes Two" that's an autosale. Especially for a lot of gamer husbands or parents who want to share their hobby.

Probably a good game, but I'm surprised Fares gets away with doing the same co-op game with new skin over and over again. People lap it up.

Playing it with my 12 year old daughter

Absolutely dig it. It's a fucking game-ass game.

So many modern AAAs forget a simple rule: its supposed to be fun

It Takes Two sold over 20 million and has 200K reviews on Steam. Hazelight built a huge audience for their co-op games. It helps that they are best in the biz at this specific type of game.
They are the only one making this type of game. Sure there are other co-op games, but they are not mandatory co-op and hence designed to be experienced together.

And I didn't buy it on Steam. EA gives 10% off wtih GamePass.

Thinks Microaggressions are Real
wow i thought it was going to flop due to two female characters.
Reality is, outside of internet forums, most gaming audience simply do not care about that stuff. Plus, most people who finished It Takes Two enjoyed it and have been looking forward to what's next from these guys for a while now.

This might be the least surprising success story of the year.

Absolutely adore this success for what I consider the most talented modern studio in the industry. Amazing stuff, and I can't wait to see the ideas for game design and mechanics that this one explores, as It Takes Two blew me away with the sheer number of 'games' that were inside that game.

Played the first three hours. It's great. Up there with Astro Bot for ingenuity, creativity and fun. Larian, Arrowhead, Warhorse, Hazelight... European game dev is really delivering just lately.
