The characters already look like porcelain dolls... what other 'beautification' does it need, lol.

I swear the modding scene is just way too much sometimes.
that is worse. I want her original face back.

Anyway:

Game doesn't really need mods. They succeeded in making her face fatter. It's more of a uglification mod then anything else.

Game deserves it.

An Unreal Engine game that actually looks good not running like crap, and lets you try it for free.

It's called "preferences".

That is why there are multiple body mods in Skyrim. You just pick the ones you like.

It's like... some people just pick a named sandwich in Subway. But others have an exact custom sandwich they want. Neither are wrong.

Is it just me or the outfits in the game look hotter than the nude shit on nexus? I mean, whoever is designing these outfits at the studio knows what's up.

And just like with Skyrim, you could quickly end up making people look super silly and regret installing too many mods. I know that happened to me.

Anyway...the demo runs surprisingly well on my rather humble PC, so that's a positive.

The recently launched Stellar Blade demo on PC via Steam by developer Shift Up has been seeing notable success in the two days it has been live.

The Steam demo has already garnered over 2,000 user reviews, with 91% of them being positive, resulting in a highly favorable reception from the outset
Holding a mostly locked 144fps on a 3080 5700x3d with DLSS4. On max settings. Awesome port.

Pre-orders are charting very well in Japan.

"Stellar Blade" has reached the top of the popularity rankings on Steam in Japan! We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the Japanese players who have supported us! If you purchase the Complete Edition, be sure to receive the "Crimson Lotus" skin 💕

To all of you using "character action game" like it's the most normal term of the world, please do explain to me the difference between Action, hack and slash, CHARACTER ACTION, adventure and action adventure. I'm highly curious as not even the Internet knows.

I do know that FF16 is called a character action game, and that game is Ultra, mega ass.

I asked Chatgpt and it's response was to...stop working. No joke. I'm assuming it sapped all the processing power of the servers to figure it out! Didn't wait for it to start working again.

I wasn't using the term but the way I would explain it, in simple terms, is as follows.

Action: a broad term given to a game where the focus is on real time combat.
Adventure: a broad term given to a game where the focus is on exploration, puzzles and story.
Action adventure: shockingly, a mix of the two genres. a broad term given to a game that mixes real time combat with exploration, solving puzzles and an engaging narrative.
Hack and Slash: a sub genre of action where the combat is based around melee weapons.
Character action: a sub genre of action where the combat has a large(r) variety of combos, moves and visual flair.

Honestly, it gets real messy with modern games as they easily encompass multiple descriptors of the gameplay and pull mechanics and from all over the place. For example, there's no real "line" where something goes from being action into action-adventure or how a character action game can be a hack and slash but a hack and slash isn't necessarily a character action. It's crazy and trying to discuss it can easily descend into arguments and madness.

One of the most confusing apologies Ive ever seen

Apparently there was some poor wording from Shift Up regarding the code you get for a costume in Nikke when buying Stellar Blade; you can only get it from the Complete Edition so early PS5 adopters, even if you bought all the DLC, have no way to get it unless they rebuy the entire game or try their hand at gambling in the costume gacha in Nikke which can cost you up to ~$50 to obtain (the most likely outcome).

Unless there's more drama I haven't seen.

Wait, this game is a souls like? Looked more like a character action game to me.
I have tried the demo. It's leaning more toward Soulslike than character action games like Nier. If you rest at the save point, the enemies reappear. The battle is also more methodical than hack and slash.

Thank you for your input, but what you have written there really just makes it clear no one knows and it's just a fad. The rest is good.

I find it hard to take anyone serious when they begin with "I asked Chatgpt"

I bought the complete edition from cd keys last night. Playing bayonetta 3 on switch 2 right now. I hope stellar blade comes close ish to the combo fun.

I enjoyed Stella a lot more than Bayonetta 3, but that's just my personal opinion.

So much so I did the exact same thing as you from CD Keys. My PS5 version will now be relegated to the retro cupboard :messenger_tears_of_joy:

That opinion is likely shared by a lot of people. Story aside, the game just ran poorly which isn't good for a fast paced game like Bayonetta. I didn't even bother to finish it.
Or I. I may go back to it once, and if, I manage to get a Switch 2.

The 2nd game was good, the 1st was the best though, to me.

While the resolution is atrocious on bayo 3 it now runs more or less locked 60 fps from what I've played. Its great.

The creature sections though. I just did the spider one and it was absolutely terrible.

Bayonetta 3 essentially ruined my interest not only in the game, but me ever returning to the franchise. Like, the performance at launch was bad but I also hated the story and that version of Bayo herself. Plus the stupid drama with the old VA. Game just felt cursed.

So... why can't we buy the complete editions extra shit separately?
We can. But they still dont give the key code to unlock the skin in Nikke that way. They want you to buy the complete edition, thats why the backlash and thats why the apology from the CEO that promissed to find a solution for the PS players. But all this done is making me wait and see what they gonna do, cuz i play both games and was planing to get the Nikke DLC in Stellar Blade today counting to get the skin to use on Nikke as well. But they screwed up the PS players that already own the game.

Im actually thoroughly enjoying it on switch 2 apart from those creatures sections.

Its a great play game outside of those small tarnished sections.

For anyone buying the Complete Edition that dont play Nikke and is not interested in trying it out, if one of you guys want to give away the CD-Key to unlock the skin in Nikke, let me know. I would appreciate it as ShiftUp screwed up all previous owners of the game by not making it possible to get that CD-Key other than buying the game again.

I can throw you mine when I get it

The game is absolutely stunning !

It's smooth, it's very good looking, it's perfectly optimized.
Audio is top notch.

Wtf japanese studios normally release shitty PC Port. What happened here is beyond me.

Absolutely 0 regret pre-ordering this one.

It has absolutely 0 stutter.
