Haha do you really think you're fooling anyone with that crap? Your forum acting is just as bad as your voice acting. Begone!
Ouch, not a fan eh?
Halycon said:
You can't ban mAc, otherwise, who would respond to ABF's posts?

They are two halves of a whole, you can't kill one without killing the other.
No, I existed before A Black Falcon and will continue to exist without A Black Falcon, A Black Falcon however probably can't exist without me, he'd wander the forums day in and day out, neglecting his hygiene and health until one day he passes at his desk. Who am I kidding, he'd do fine, probably better without me, he'd rarely be challenged on his favorite shows and since his posts would be shorter more of ya'll would read them and he'd feel like a part of the group. Maybe I'm actually killing A Black Falcon just by being here?

Think about it, guys. If Chiaki Omigawa is here then she might be able to introduce us to her other friends. How would you guys like having Hirano Aya or Kugimiya Rie boarding with us?
If I were Chiaki Omigawa what makes you think I'd be friends with those talentless hacks? I don't even know what agencies they work for.
Branduil said:
Who needs them? I'd like to congratulate Chiaki for her excellent work in Soredemo.
I'm sure she appreciates it.
zeroshiki said:
Maybe Chiaki can tell us whether Ohana and Minko get together?
Of course they don't.

Well that was pretty funny just like the OVA. The half sized episode wasn't very satisfying though. Then again I'm already watching way too many shows this season so maybe it's a good thing the episodes are shorter.
We've already got enough content this season!

Hanasaku Iroha...Some of the conflict feels a bit TOO heightened, but I still feel that the MC grounds everything and makes it all pretty bearable.
You just have a problem with characters doing anything fun!

in Episode 1 a more serious issue than what it initially appeared to be if they choose to go melodramatic.
The always fatal 'coughing' disease.
duckroll said:
There should be a dramatic plot twist in ep13 where Ohana dies. And the rest of the series will be about the other characters getting on with their lives without her around.
You meanie. The dramatic plot twist will be when Granny reveals that Ohana's grandfather left her a special present below the Inn, a device made SUPER-ALLOY Z!
jman2050 said:
That would instantly make me far far more interested in the show.
You can't handle a good show with yazuka?

Sure, Yazuka do need to be in more shows, but perhaps ones with a better natural place for them.

:p Damn, Ristorante Paradiso is only 11 episodes and it's about cooking. I'll be on it, stat.
No no, it's about hot old bald men.

I haven't watched Wolverine or Iron man but X-men is a pretty solid show on it's own merits; it's doesn't compare to some of the best x-men runs (at least currently) but it's utilizing the source material pretty damn well. I don't think the other two marvel shows being supposedly crap, makes it any better or worse then what it currently is right now.

Indeed. Just preordered it!
I've had it pre-ordered since it was listed but this year is a killer for me anime pre-order wise. I have The Girl Who Leapt Through Time coming on April 26th, Project A-Ko and Baccano! Bluray on May 17th, Utena set 1 on June 7th and the 4th Spice and Wolf novel on June 21st. I actually really wish Rightstuf would take my money out when I pre-order something so I didn't have to keep track of everything and make sure there's money in that account when the time comes. But this is a good year for stuff.

K-On is half price too. Even with Canada shipping tax, that's pretty good.

I like watching anime in Chinese. It gives me a chance to practice the language (since who am I going to speak Chinese to otherwise) and I get to laugh at how some things are translated. I still like the Cantonese translation of "moe" (bewitching person).

icarus-daedelus said:
It's TokiKake before Tokikake was Tokikake, albeit considerably more standard and generic sadly. I really missed the monocle power of Oshii, no weird symbolism or meta commentary on storytelling or anything. :( I guess I should say that I didn't expect it to be anything special, it was just a bit more straightforward than I'd have liked.
I think you just like to say TokiKake! But then again, TokiKake existed as a novel in the 70s or something, didn't it?

That's the difference really, the sex comes much earlier and faster in the relationship in BL and yaoi, whereas we all know that in real shoujo they never have sex. :p
Boys will be (or have sex with) boys. I guess shoujo fans are different from the pervy nerd girls as well. Shoujo fans just want the dokidoki aishiteru stuff while the fujyoshi want the goo covered bodies. Although, I suppose this show was restrained - all you get to see is two nekkid boys in bed together.

I like how French words and phrases are like the Marimite equivalent of technobabble. I don't remember much about the last season, I think seasons 2 and 3 were superior, at least in my mind.

For some reason the idea of Pizza Hut sponsoring that show makes me giggle. There's nothing that makes me want pizza more than Catholic schoolgirls with suspiciously close friendships fretting over chocolates.
Although petit seour and rose en blahblahblah are the only French phrases on the show, thankfully. They're only pretentious when it comes to rank. :lol

And hey, girls gotta eat... pizza (god, I feel bad for typing that already :p).

Better than the other two? Sure.

Worth the 22 Mins? Hell no.
Dude, I can already tell you that asides from Hanasaku Iroha and maybe, just maybe Tiger & Bunny, you'll hate everything, including the Best Show So Far™, Dororon Enma-Kun.

May as well wait till Thursday this coming week to see if the noitaminA shows are palatable stuff.

I grew up with Chinese Doraemon and only found out much much later Doraemon's real title.

At least there's some movies that we wont be seeing for ages!

Er, considering it was published in Margaret, I think not.

It's hard to recommend a sequel season, and if they have already watched the original they probably already know there's a second season anyway.

Might get that, thanks for pointing it out! I'm also considering the HK Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya BD as well, (it has good English subs!) considering that with Bandai's track record we might get it here in like 2016.

Softenni 1
Pretty damn awful, unfunny and stupid.
Whats with the randomly censoring some panty shots but not others? that awful oniichan show from last season also did this.

Can't believe i didn't hear about this till now.

Awesome news, although on the not-so-awesome front it means no-more haruhi. But that series is old news anyway.

The wording makes it seem like its ok to do sequels. I can't access twitter so if someone could paste the actual tweet that'd be great.

Surely it'd be easier to refer to each part of Twilight Q by their titles, e.g. Time Knot: Reflection and Mystery Article File #538. Then it makes it totally not clear what their plots are about!

A pox on both cheeks.

That said I just realized that the stupid skull headpin thing Yukiko wears is a lot like the ones in TWGOK. I wonder if the demon sensors in Kaminomi came from that.

Yeah, sounds like she's restricted from playing main roles (?) or something similar in any new anime. Sequels sound like they're okay.

mAcOdIn said:
Should make it easier actually, if she did post here that'd mean she'd be more available soon and probably post more right? And this is just a coincidence but my post count has gone down since Chiaki Omigawa's gotten more work, but again, just a coincidence.
But Hirano Aya can't be a new character. If she wasn't here on GAF already, she's gone forever!

Not even half way through Lotte no Omocha, and I already like it much. Rie is just too good.

Great second episode for Hanasaku Iroha. Ohana's way to show her pissed off mood is rather weird, but she's not passive and that's good.

She's not allowed to star in new shows but she's thankful for 2nd season stuff and long running shows (presumably) so she can still do VA work.

Thanks for the translation. So more Lucky Star is possible. Nice.

Edit: On an unrelated note Lafiel, I await the inevitable Ohana phones.

I was thinking about the show specifically. I'm sure the MariMite novels weren't sold to dudes at first anyway.

It's a paradox! Which came first?

It varies, some of it is really just boys gently cuddling, but I guess that's not all that far from the lesbian subtext you see in things oriented toward male otaku. I am a bit out of my league talking about BL, though, I mostly have to go off secondhand accounts from real live fujoshi, who are invariably pervy nerd girls.
The yuri stuff for pervy nerd boys that makes it to anime is comparably tame. Usually just girls groping each other in the bath and whatever it is that guys think girls do when they're alone and naked. Maybe it's more of a demographic problem, but most of the BL animated stuff that I've read about is typically porn.

You know looking at that list I saw the source of a picture that I'd been trying to find, only to realize that the picture corresponded to the manga I'd seen the picture in. And somehow I didn't realize it at the time.

Anyway new Natsume Yuujinchou? I'm happy already. I'm intrigued by Blood C but I wasn't a fan of Blood+ and Clamp's new works have gotten very strange.

Sometimes you have to get a message across to people. Reach them, as it where. You need to do it in under two seasons as well, none of this anime-writing beating around the bush stuff.

I'm still confidant it was made for a female audience.
